@@berniemackattack86 oh yeah. The energy each theme had in this game has been unmatched. Everything about this game was the perfect amount of over the top. It was my first exposure to Street fighter. I was so disappointed even I played regular Street fighter games when hadokens were itty bitty.
I think cammy's theme is spectacular, not only because sounds great but also because you can feel the energy and the emotion that the game wants to transmit, in my opinion that should be the Wolverine's theme
Gambit's theme is the perfect contrast of two great instruments the electric guitar and the organ all with great accompanying drum track at a aggressive tempo that excites your ears as it changes and switches back and fourth melodically.

A perfect crossover for two amazing franchises. I hope Capcom goes back to using hand-drawn 2D sprites in their fighting games. I originally played X Men vs SF on the PS1 and in arcades. I recently bought a Sega Saturn to play this game and could not be happier! All of the theme songs are amazing but Ryu's and Ken's themes stand out to me. They are an amazing take on the original SF2 versions.
I never noticed this, but some of these tracks has that Mega Man X feel to it. I can literally see X running around shooting everything in almost every track. Or is it just me?

it's MIDI, so it was played on a keyboard and run thru a guitar "simulator" sound. You can get close with heavy compression, lots of mid-heavy distortion or an EQ pedal as a mid-boost in front of a dirty amp
why didn't they just do a remix of Cammy's iconic SSF2 theme? All the other Street Fighter characters got remixes. Also Sabretooth's theme sounds like something out of King of Fighters
Because at the time this was another version/history of Cammy. She was absent in SFA and SFA2 that were around the same time XMvSF was launched, so they put her "Killer Bee" version in the game and later on an upadated version of SFA2 (SFA2 Gold) with this very theme. I believe they decided to change the theme because the character was in a totally different place mentally and spiritualy, a totally different life from the one SSF2 Cammy has. She was brainwashed and used as weapon for Shadaloo, so I guess this theme is much more fitting to represent the character's dark place in her story.
The music is great but they failed to give the game an identity of it's own like they did SF3 and Darkstalkers. All the new themes sound like Megaman X unused tracks.
I love the songs but they sound like SNES quality. Not arcade quality. Sound like SF2 hybridized with Mega Man X themes. Not a fan of Cammy’s theme. The other SFA/SF2 mixes are great!
