Never was an Elvis fan but certainly was of Freddie. He was one of the few entertainers that could have the whole family in stitches not like us and them today. Des O'Connor shouldn't be under estimated either, he was the perfect straight man for comedians like Freddie and others like Morecambe and Wise. Looking back to see what comedy entertainment was like and look at the total shite we now have on the BBC for example is very sad imo.
Freddie was so talented. It is tragic the way he was hounded at the end of his life. Despite his humour and wit, he could really sing aswell. Great guy!
What a fantastic double act! Nothing like this on the tv these days thanks to those who have no sense of humour, Freddie was a wonderful entertainer and very sadly missed, today’s generation have no idea what genuine comedy is.
If there’s one scouser I could love, it would be this guy, he along with Robin Williams got me through my childhood, you didn’t deserve to be trust like you did at the end of your life, you will always be a legend to me Mr Starr x
i remember watching this live on ITV and my family could not stop laughing...one of the funniest ever moments ever on telly for me...poor Des nearly had a heart attack doing this...then Freddie sang it straight as Elvis. God bless the 2 of yous lads
Beloved Robin Williams must've loved the amazing, inimitable Freddy Starr. I always loved Des O'Connor. What a great year was 1983. I was jus back in the US from living on London two years. Loved ITV back then! My Southern US Dad used to play his guitar he got at age twelve and sing Old Shep for me as a small child :) Greetings from Western North Carolina. I miss these times. Keith Moon, John Lydon, Robin Williams, Freddy Starr... all brilliant wild men who kept us laughing, learning, honest and sane - by acting like naughty genius school boys! 😀😅
Iam so bloody grateful to the person who has taken the time to upload this so that we can enjoy Freddy forever! I was lucky enough to see Freddy live twice and both times i sh*t mysrlf everytime he glanced at me. What a voice...see you on the other side Freddy xxx
He was so unpredictable he always had interviewers nervous and some would be panicking as soon as he went off the script which was most of the time. He was just one of many fantastic comedians Liverpool produced but probably the wildest by far. He was FANTASTIC when he wasn't constrained by the rules of Television. A MUST SEE LIVE ACT TO BE FULLY APPRECIATED. GREATLY MISSED, Gone but NOT FORGOTTEN ❤ THANKS FOR ALL THE LAUGHTER😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Freddie, you're a legend mate. I know you fell on bad times a couple of years ago but know that people still love you and will never forget how funny you are.
{ Dismissing the claim, Mr Nicol, who held the case without a jury, said: "She [Ward] has proved that it was true that he groped her - an under-age schoolgirl." }
@ Andrew Thompson Sorry, BBC doesn't count, they are not a reliable source. If you think these protectors of pedos like Saville have any credibility at all you are crazy. Second point I would make is... Is that it? Is that the sum of all Freddie's accusers? In weighing up what we have to go on in what we receive from the media, we have to make our minds up. How did she prove it was true? One accuser does not make a case (in my opinion) If Freddie was the abuser you claim he is then SHOW ME THE EVIDENCE.
I hear you my man . This takes me back to me lying on living room floor and my mom and dad each side of fire in there big chairs and my brothers and sisters mn settee and scattered about .I..All laughing . It was like a family event . . Yes my brother . This was our world . Then can have this 1 👍
🤣🤣🤣 I remember this, from when i was a kid. 🤣 You were never sure what he'd do next! Haha ....and as for his tribute to Elvis.....just stunning! 👏👏👏👏👏👏 RIP Freddie.....you were one of a kind 🌹
Freddie had the audience in the palm of his hand, and the presenters terrified because they didn't know what he was going to do next, perfect unscripted comedy gold.
He was absolutely amazing and such a great performer and his Elvis performance was amazing. But today people's skin is not so thick and are offended at the drop of a hat.
Blooming Amazing guy Freddie was a genius so creative! Love watching these guys proper humour unlike what the political police are today! Sorely missed A Legend !!!❤
With all his silliness he had a fantastic voice
Never have another comedian like him ever
Freddie was a star and will always shine bright. Legend of comedy that will never be replaced.
one of the greatest talents ever produced by this little island...........destroyed by the media without hesitation or regret
Did anything ever come of that rumors and the bbc the 70s all the media stories ......as far as I know Freddie was innocent never did anything
Never a truer word said the media killed this man with false and shameless lies
So many people should be ashamed of themselves about what happened to this genius of a man.
We will never see the likes of this man again. He is so underrated and so talented. Brilliant.
Still the best Elvis impersonation ever , both R.I.P 😢
The man can sing 🥰
Spread the word!

Freddie was so talented. It is tragic the way he was hounded at the end of his life. Despite his humour and wit, he could really sing aswell. Great guy!
Just seen his Elvis...Truly amazing 🎉
He was brilliant

The man was a great talent We'll never have another like Freddie. RIP your missed by millions
Freddie was the funniest and most talented comedian. So sad what happened at the latter part of his life Still the best this country as ever produced.
If there’s one scouser I could love, it would be this guy, he along with Robin Williams got me through my childhood, you didn’t deserve to be trust like you did at the end of your life, you will always be a legend to me Mr Starr x
Bless Des and Freddie !..I bet there are a lot of laughs in heaven with those two !!
This man is one of the greatest comedians and singers of all time, his contribution to fun tears and laughter is way too unrecognised
I agree Tony, would love to see him back on stage in the UK again.
Barry Whitley n
+David Flagg ?
I saw him as a kid in Blackpool thirty odd years ago. I nearly died laughing I’ve been less sore after a good kicking!

Freddie at his best and Des was terrified of what he would say and do on his show.Long live Freddie and Des
can I say anolobollocks?
From slapstick with Des to impersonating Elvis proves what a genius Freddie was.
i remember watching this live on ITV and my family could not stop laughing...one of the funniest ever moments ever on telly for me...poor Des nearly had a heart attack doing this...then Freddie sang it straight as Elvis.
God bless the 2 of yous lads
Absolute genius from a time when comedy was aloud
Silent comedy was called slap-stick.
The best Elvis impression ever ❤️
When the world was "Real". Thanks so so much for making my sides sore and my eyes run bak in the day Freddy. God Bless ya Brother. Legend......
Des very much-loved and missed . A quality entertainer.
FREDDIE STAR what a legend a full comedian ... so silly so funny and defiantly missed

2023, it doesn't get old 😂😂
Some of the best natural talent late 70 /80s I was at some of Des`s live shows.
Absolute class humour. I remember seeing all these when they were first shown on TV. A very good double act.
This man is one of the best comedy men of all time you will never see the like of him again
The best ever now gone for ever brilliant Fredi star❤
What a brilliant performer...I remember from years gone by...no studio correction here.. this is Real talent...
Remember this as it was yesterday, Freddie Star and Des O'Connor fabulous TV tears of laughter. Brilliant
Absolutely the best comedian we've had.. and not many realised just how good.a.singer he was... especially impersonating elvis.
What a great voice he had too....
Saw him many times absolute fantastic talent
Totally underestimated as a great singer, a true mimic of so many great artists....
Freddie showing more of his amazing talent and his serious side. A great performer, often hilarious and good looking too.
Iam so bloody grateful to the person who has taken the time to upload this so that we can enjoy Freddy forever! I was lucky enough to see Freddy live twice and both times i sh*t mysrlf everytime he glanced at me. What a voice...see you on the other side Freddy xxx
Why our tele not still like this today.. What's wrong with people these days..???
Pure genius, magic and so funny. I miss Freddie so much. I hope he's well wherever he is. No one does Elvis like him he is perfect.
Best Elvis I've ever heard
He was so unpredictable he always had interviewers nervous and some would be panicking as soon as he went off the script which was most of the time. Absolutely brilliant. When laughter was spontaneous and not manufactured. No PC insight. Thank goodness I was there to see it.
I know your comment was a year ago but i couldn't have said it better those were the best times my friend.
Not manufactured?? Its a routine that ive seen more than once from him
April 2019 and still watching freddie.
God bless him. When we could have fun and laughter without being accused of lots of things.
Des O'Connor was brilliant with him you have to say.
Brings me back to when I was 12 and our family where so young and so close together.
in his day one of the best you never knew what was coming next and nor did des o
I had to have a day off school when I was 12 coz I damaged an intercostal muscle (ribs) laughing so much. Freddie is a national treasure.
Fantastic. Brilliant
Freddy was an absolute legend
As we continue to remove all humour from television, it's refreshing to look back at Freddie, poor guy was crucified later in life ..
Absolutely. The worlds gone mad
Yep miss the guys humour , great slapstick humour.
Should have been one of Britain’s best comedy acts
Could have easily conquered the states. Was the best all around comedian in the world at the time.
Now you know what pure madness is ! It's very hard work coupled with a great talent.
Freddie, you're a legend mate. I know you fell on bad times a couple of years ago but know that people still love you and will never forget how funny you are.
"fell on bad times "
a.k.a exposed as a child molester.
Evidence please.
