I felt the vibe of Deepavali. The composition helped me achieve this feeling. From the beginning to minute 0:50, I felt the pooja aspect, then from minute 0:50 to 1:00 after the Djembe comes in, it helped visualize the feeling of fireworks. I like this raaga, raaga Bhariavi is a soothing raaga that sounds delightful. The piece Lamps of Deepavali is a beautiful and fascinating composition. All the instruments such as the violin, viola, cello, bass, and djembe all come together to provide a devotional and native feeling toward Deepavali.
I felt the vibe of Deepavali through the different moments throughout the composition. In the arrangement, I felt the pooja effect from the beginning of the song to 0:50 as the slow melody and bell sound gave me that feel. From then, I felt the feeling or fireworks until 1:30, because the fast change in rhythm. From then I felt the feeling of lightning the lamps because of the snowed transition but still maintaining the rhythm. I like the raga because I feel the sense of tranquility while listening to this song. This piece helps me relate with the process of getting ready for Deepavali to spending time with family through the pooja, fireworks, and lighting the lamps. I enjoyed this song!
This piece represents the lamp lighting during Deepavali during the slow movement in the piece as well the Firework feeling in between fast phrases. I was able to identify raaga as Sindhubhairavi. I think this piece is an uplifting and devotional piece to Deepavali.
we can feel the festive vibes with bells periodically. Getting the feel of lighting a Diya 🪔. ( lamp). Kudos to all the musicians for bringing the feel of festivals.
