- An impressive, high-resolution mod for GZDoom & Skulltag (make sure you have updated it's binaries!) utilizing all of its lighting capabilities to make for a "lite" Doom 3-like experience. The game comes in either English or Portuguese instructions, hence it's Brazilian origin (the file is also hosted at BRDoom). It's very well-made and the author should be praised for his efforts in making an atmospheric mod.
In spite of it's strengths, it does have a couple noticeable flaws. For one, there's only 5 weapons, though some of them can have different firing modes, essentially adding a couple more to the 5 basic weapons you can find. Also, the maps are pretty repetitive, with minor differences throughout. Lastly, there are areas of the game, depending on the user, in which it can be a real pain to see pretty much anything. I can understand the necessity for darkness, but when you make it so that it's pretty much pitch dark, well, it kills an effective action sequence and makes it more into a slow-paced adventure. But, those are only a few shortcomings which pale as a whole to the strengths of Legacy Of Suffering.
Kudos, Logan MTM.

No problem Logan, good work on this wad.
Oh!
Thanks for playing and post this awesome video! :)
I played and recorded this in Skulltag, so yes. I figured it was obvious as per the title of the video, but I guess I was wrong to presume all would understand it.
If you have the wad already, try checking it with a lump editor. Or you can check the credits file that came with the download.
You can click and drag it onto the Skulltag icon so that it'll run.
Thanks very much, that worked just fine :)
I'd recommend playing this on Skulltag, seems to perform better. Also, there's a "Hell Invasion" mode to boot (make sure you run "LOS.pk3" and "ST-patch.pk3" together).
You need to open it WITH SKULLTAG
Well, when I download a WAD, it usually has a Doom data file that I just double click and launch it, for this WAD there isn't one.
If this excellent WAD doesn´t work with GZ Doom (like on my computers), try to run it with Skulltag.
No, because it uses definitions that ZDoom can't handle.
it says that the 3d floors are invisible and not work? how can i fix that?
How were those bright overlays done on actors?
That's because you only use ST-Patch with Skulltag. Don't need it for GZDoom.
How do I run this with Skulltag? It just won't work
What are you doing in order to make it run?
Do you have the latest version of GZDoom? If you have to, get the latest SVN (Sub VersioN).
Oh, you're simply putting them in your folder and executing GZDoom? That's not how it works. You can do either of the following:
1) Highlight "LOS.pk3", drag & drop the file onto the GZDoom executable. Should run that way.
2) [Permanent option] Go to the GZDoom properties, and under the target line, add "-file" after GZDoom, and then, with a space, add "LOS.pk3." It should look exactly like this: C:\ZDoom\gzdoom.exe -file los.pk3
Happy playing.
Can you run this with zdoom?
