- Our rebuilt AWD trophy truck with a new engine + bunch of new and upgraded parts hits the dirt for the first time! I get to drive my fresh Joe Gibbs Racing engine during our first test session before we head down to San Felipe and of course we had to hit up the roughest terrain in Southern California - PLASTER CITY. After we tested in Plaster City we pack up and head down to San Felipe to put in another test session on the race course itself. Watch episode 2 of 4 of my San Felipe 250 series!

Loving the Content Andy, really like to see you on the test track many of us know so well, very impressive what you're doing and so cool you're sharing it with the fans and enthusiasts.
I had to add, cool edit, outtakes make it seem very authentic, talking some tech is really neat to share some of the engine management issues you're tuning and the frankness that you're getting comfortable in the new setup. The sequences with the truck and then the vlog style in the prerunner or with your suit on after the run really makes it feel like we are getting glimpse of what it's like to test from your perspective.
Suggestion: add some time lapse for the prepping/tuning that happens between test runs or the traveling around you do to change locations. Also get some input from your spotters or codawg giving you feedback or rooting you along. We all know you're the man behind #31 but we also know there's supporting staff that is rooting you along. Some of the vlog could reveal more detail about your history winning or not certain races, your motivation and inspiration to pursue the win and the hardships and sacrifices endured to gain the experience you have.

Oh geez, I drove my truck down that stretch of the race course in San Felipe. We were just trying to get south to set up camp for race day. Those woops had everyone in our group car sick by the time we made it to our spot near the wash.
Yeah man it's gnarly. Even in our Stewart prerunner it takes a toll
@@AndyMcMillinTV So much so that we stopped driving the course and just went down the blacktop and cut across at Percebu or Santa Maria. Even then, the ride back to the house at midnight was an adventure.
I get goosebumps with that sound, very fast car in technical sections, and will be doing a good job in B500.

Great to see you take the step into more social media. I would suggest a collage of snipits from all of your years of racing worked into your intro with music. Also Timelapse on fabrication/set-up works well. Don’t be afraid of voiceover explaining what your doing at the time.

Back for #2. The footage by I-8 gave a cool perspective of how fast you really are moving through that desert! Loving the different camera angles and the speedometer footage was epic. I would like to hear your thoughts on random gear/vehicle setup used for the different terrain. In a language based off the mindset of someone else going out in the desert with there personal vehicle. Since Fox was there maybe a quick layman’s terms for how you are making these adjustments. My ideas/suggestions are probably to basic/lame. I’d like to hear what you think is exciting or entertaining to discuss relevant to any of the above ideas. Teach us something, and then switch the level of expertise from beginner to advance. Thank you!

We actually had the intercom audio here but since it was a loop that we did multiple times I didn't need Johnny calling notes. The next episode is in-car from our qualifying run and you will hear Johnny and I talking to each other.
We test the 5U car on that side of the tracks also, on what looks like most of the same loop. We only get in the 85-90mph range though... Looking super smooth on the wheel Andy! Keep doing what you're doing!
Good stuff, would like to see more of the technical stuff. ie.. what adjustment are make to shocks and how it changed and your feel of the truck

I like the video with the speedometer on the side, id have two videos for each race one first person where you can see the hood only camera mounted where a led light bar would go. not both drivers so we can feel like we are driving, and one helicopter view so we can see the race the we always see with all the glory (speedometer as well) speedometer helps us understand how fast your actually going. Maybe a little gps map like video game on the bottom right of screen so we know what your seeing . 😁
