@@blastermastermaker I was also wondering what you used for the front lens ? I like the orange small lens in teh back ! most of the build I saw add a light there. Can you tell why you went without a light ?
@ the outer lens is made from a 4” clear Christmas I cut it down carefully with a dremel tool. This gives a proper domed outer lens that the screen used pit droids have. I didn’t go with a light because from what I can tell no pit droids “eye” ever light up on screen. Perhaps I’ve missed an episode of some kind where the droids eye actually lights up like a flashlight but I feel like this was an invention by fans to add lights to a droid that otherwise doesn’t light up.
Very nice job on the print and paint.

I get that spatter and seizing up too. Too often.
Great job !
I was wondering, did you do a clear coat on it ? And if so did you do it before or after weathering ?
Thanks! Yes, it was clear coated after all the primary colors were on. I used a 2K matte clear coat.
@@blastermastermaker Oh whaoo, those are pricey ! 😳

@@blastermastermaker Thanks, I have the same feeling about the light, I also can't find an on screen example of a pit droid with a light.
