They knew the problem from 1st race the way it was working together wasn't getting tyres in right temperature range and if tyres are not in range you can lose so much grip

You've been wondering so far this season if Max was giving it everything at the front or just managing tires. I think it's obvious now that he was giving it everything he had every race and there's just not anymore room for RB to improve atm. McLaren and Ferrari are in a good spot to challenge, and if Mercedes gains a few tenths even Hamilton can potentially win one.

It’s easy to win when there’s no issues, Max is showing how well he copes. Such a professional
Newey was always critical on setup, week in and out, not just annual design, and of course massive on upgrades. Pretty sure the RB downfall has begun.
What we learned today:
Redbull is the forth fastest car
Aston Martin upgrades don’t work
Mercedes upgrades work
Ferrari and McLaren title fight is happening

Adrian designed the complicated suspension what is what they are struggling to set up as he decided with these regulations the most important thing was getting the car to ride right to give the areo on the car the best platform to work on and now it seams like they don't know how to set up the suspension as you can have good aero but if you can't use it it's like mercedes the car has good aero in wind tunnel but can't get it to work on the track

I hope Max gets pushed to the point where he had to choose between winning in F1 and winning in sim racing. Hopefully the competition is good though that he can no longer prepare for and race F1 while getting no sleep.
So far this weekend, the FIA has been given irrefutable proof that the 'Sprint race' side show should be dropped ASAP as all teams need to be given the opportunity to provide optimum set up, on race day, to be what F1 is all about 'being the best of the best against the best of the best' on race day.

I actually felt Mercedes was in good shape today. Normally, if they get a few good laps in early, other teams improve their setups and surpass Mercedes. Tomorrow will tell. Maybe they can move from 7/8 quali to 4/5.
Maybe Max was just going to fast 😂! VCARB I think we’re light on fuel or engine turned up. Aston seem to be nowhere, going backwards since last year. Let’s hope we have a mix of winners going forward, yea someone will win a bit more, but not 90% of races, just 30-40%.

I like the gravel too, but what’s the point when laps _still_ get invalidated when you go too far on the green stuff? I think when the track punishes you for going wide there shouldn’t be track limit penalties🤷♂️

Well the turf is different from the gravel and laps being invalidated predominantly applies in quali and not races…so the gravel is still beneficial as an in race deterrent
This season might still be interesting. I just wish we had 4-5 cars competing for the title. It would be nice to see a different race winner on most of the races
This is max’s big downside, he can lose his shit quite easy when things don’t go to plan, I understand any driver to be frustrated but I think it gets the better of him and effects his driving even more, something he needs to work on moving forward!

Ferrari fans are like F1 fans opinion on drivers. When someone has a bad weekend, they suck, and when they have a good weekend they’re great and should be going to Red Bull. When the top team has a moment of struggling, suddenly the championship is back on and the Schumacher days are back, and when Ferrari struggles everyone is on the Ferrari pain train.
