@@fqeagles21 I'm not sure about that. It just seems that after his devastating loss in 2021, he's just not had the spark that made him the best for all those years (including his time at Mclaren). If the car doesn't handle the way he likes it, I wouldn't be surprised if he'll be sitting back in the same situation he is now with Russell
Its not that Kimi “didn’t care”, Ferrari sabotaged Kimi in the 2008 season by favoring Massa after the Spanish GP, all development went towards Massa and not Kim because of the future Santander sponsor deal, you can see evidence of this here on YT, there is a video of Shumacher talking about the development of the car favoring Massa, i though you knew this
Carlos was never really accepted by Ferrari or the fans, except as Charles' lap-dog in training. And at the same time, Ferrari as a whole is clearly less competent than either driver. (And I think they do realize that fact.) This is an awkward dynamic that prevented either party from working in real harmony with the other. Ferrari's toxic, dysfunctional culture strikes again!
10:52 Santander scandal ruined Kimi's first Ferrari stint. His own motivation was not the problem. Would have been back to back champion but Ferrari always finds a way to screw up.
@@LawVS I did not want to come across as rude or anything. I am just a big Kimi fan, and I believe that the whole Santander thing was the reason why he suddenly dropped form in 2008. Tbh i prefer Carlos not being there,He will make the championship harder for leclerc to win by outperforming him in those rare occasions, Charles deserves a 2nd driver but I don't wanna call hamilton a potential 2nd driver but thats just how he is performing
no they havnt, lewis was better than both charles and sainz last year. imagine you are fred and the guy who just finished 3rd in the wdc and is a 7x wdc winner comes and asks you for a seat are you saying no?
As a driver he is good but what viewers miss, is the politics he brings with him. His entourage is insufferable and the Spanish media quite toxic. Yes, Lewis may or may not perform better but the environment at Ferrari will be better without Sainz.
Starting to think there is no downside to Sainz at Audi. If they stink, Sainz can blame the growing pains of a works team. If they succeed, the gamble paid off.
Whenever Ferrari had a good car Leclerc was the quicker driver such as fighting for the championship albeit for half a season. During that season Sainz was still not working to maximize the Championship points but to prove himself against Leclerc which gave him highlights when the team was making terrible decisions, but he sometimes contributed to the ruining of Leclerc's races and hampering the championship fight. Watch Monaco GP of 2022 and see how Ferrari were two separate teams.
The issue for Ferrari is that it's hard to say which driver in 2025 deserves to be team leader. Hamilton is looking washed right now and Russell has been mopping the floor with him this year so far. Leclerc is also a great qualifier so there is every chance he will outqualify Lewis most of the time and if that happens then what? It would be impossible to enforce any contractual #2 status. I feel like Ferrari overreached and overpaid for Lewis at a stage in his career where he's done.
This is definitely my new favorite F1 channel! Been watching your content for years! Its great to find creators who have the same passions and interests!
I understand your concerns, but this was something that got me thinking about what happened after Imola. Also, understandably, the team will look to eliminate Sainz from key meetings. The question is though, how does he handle this?
I dont understand the media and utube vloggers stupidly questioning lewis abilities and stating carlos was treated unfairly. Lets discuss it in perfomance terms: who is better between chalres and carlos. It is charles in every metric. So obviously between them carlos will loose position when lewis comes in. Lewis in his worst ever form will always be better than carlos. People who feel sympathy for carlos should aggressively advocate to remove the worst performing driver for few years in a top team which is perez. He is solely responsible for f1 being boring last few years by giving poor perfomances in some of best championship winning cars ever made.
As a sainz fan, I agree that leclerc is better. But I think saying that Lewis in his worst ever form is still better than Carlos at his best is ridiculous - we've seen Carlos at his best and he dominated and won the third race of the season! Remember - he's 3-3 against leclerc and only 20 points behind despite having missed a race. Meanwhile as much as Hamilton had a great 2023, his 2024 has been poor. I think it's fair to question whether a 40 year old Hamilton represents an improvement over an in-form sainz.
@@elbubson5600 lewis even in his best form wont beat carlos this year as the perfomance of ferrari car is leagues ahead of mercedes. So any proper comparison between carlos and lewis is first of all not possible and is irrelevant .lewis all through his carear has an impeccable track record agaibst top drivers in the same car accross many seasons. Sainz is a very good driver. However it is childish to compare him against lewis who is considered one of the GOAT. So u cant evalute sainz against lewis and comparr sainz perfomance in few races this year and say it was ferrari mistake to leave him as u hav to undrrstand that when lewis becomes available then sainz has to leave as leclerc has been on average better than sainz in most metrics throuhh out their whole carrear as teammates. I am pretty sure leclec will gap sainz by a decent margin this year end as the ferrari car this year is top. Sainz is a top driver and is unfortunate that he lost his ferrari drive. However his fans should advocate him to be imcluded in the redbull team and should replace perez who is the driver whos doesnt deserve a top seat in f1 after his poor perfomance for many years taking into account of his machinary.lewis competition this year is with george and probably ashton martin drivers and i am pretty confident barring reliability he wil beat al these drivers come end of the year.In f1 drivers can make a difference only if the cars are closer. However if there is a large perfomance gap no driver can do any miracles. F1 is always 65-70% machinary dependant. However last year on average ferrari and mercedes wer some what close and lewis was the top driver among thos teams and briefly challenged perez who was driving one of the most dominant cars of all time. That is why i am blaming the stupid media and youtube vloggers for not discussing the correct narrative which should be talked that is why is infact sainz already not signed at redbull instead of perez next year.
@@elbubson5600 the reality is Hamilton and Vettel can't win without a dominant Car. Whereas Max and Alonso need a decent competitive car to squeeze the juice of the car.
I'm not sure that a magazine cover that is not associated with Ferrari/F1 signifies anything about Carlos, they are simply profiting off of the hype of the biggest driver transfer in Modern F1 history. It's only natural for people to be excited about the news. Also Carlos being less optimistic of the upgrades is not specific to this year's upgrades. He did the same thing last year after Japan's upgrades which arguably made the car significantly better in both qualifying pace and tyre wear, but he said it wasn't an upgrade at all. I do agree that he is saying it to try to save face for himself, but this is not new for him.
@@LawVS how would they know what the 2025 race suits look like? Also its not an F1 publication, I'm sure the designer just looked up Ferrari race suit and drew the first one they saw
It’s not right to say Carlos was not driving for Ferrari because he wasn’t a clear nr 2 driver and didn’t follow the script, What is that? So what’s the script for Lewis next year? Is he supposed to go to Ferrari and just yield to Charles?
The cartoon really does like that - Charles playing with the racing car (I'm racing and interested in the F1 car), while Lewis is playing with the horse (I'm more interested in the brand of Ferarri than the racing part). Whether it's right or wrong, who wouldn't look at a Ferarri contract and consider the cars they get to drive? That's how they brand themselves, is it not? You join Williams for the experience and the heritage ... haha no ... right now, no one cares about the heritage. You join Mercedes for their German engineering. But it's really only Ferarri that comes with a package of exclusive and exotic vehicles. Not even Alpine has this. Unless you're some rally historian, people would hardly recognise Alpine.
Leclerc hasn't necessarily had priority the way you make it seem ngl, 2022 had many instances where they just shafted him for no reason and Carlos always seemed to benefit e.g Monaco and Silverstone
@@Ryzardi mean he could have defended instead of overtaking leclerc and leaving him to battle against Lewis alone in Silverstone.... Uk be a team player to get the championship contender more points
There’s only two drivers that would have taken Carlos’ seat. Max and Lewis. Ferrari just so happened to get one of them. Love Carlos’ driving but I’d still make the change 100%.
Hipoteticaly: RB might decide to keep Perez and Ricciardo and Tsunoda start to be real close and they keep them too, or replace Ric for Liam. Mercs - Antonelli strings a few win and Mercedes announces him. McLaren, AM already sorted. Then Audi gets tired of waiting and hires Ocon. The only seat left would be crap one, Haas, Williams and Renault.
If RBR closes Perez, Sainz will close with AUDI. The German team will wait all the time in the world to sign Carlos. Contracts are usually closed around the mid-year holidays. There is no need to rush things. Even more so since they already closed with the Hulk. This concern that they try to raise about the risk of Carlos being left without a place at AUDI makes no sense at all.
Not even Williams, I have a feeling Bottas will get that 2nd seat, in front of all the F2 and ex F2 drivers, who will have a painful Joker smile on their face, again...
Tha k you, this is what I've been saying. Lewis v. Charles will not be much of a fight - much of it will be predetermined this year, and in the opening phases of 2025. Ferrari will gravitate to Lewis, especially with him bringing his own people in. Unless Charles somehow puts up a championship challenge, it'll be difficult for him to remain in control.
Let's talk driving styles. The reason why Sainz and Leclerc have different feedbacks to upgrades or general setup of the car is because they're different drivers. If you look at the current F1 drivers on the grid with a race coach's eye, they're rated on car positioning, feel, how short or long their corner lines are etc. When you take into account these parameters, you can classify the current drivers on the grid into two driving styles. I'm not saying 1 is better than the other. So yeah the first driving style camp we have Max, Charles, Lewis, Oscar etc. The other camp is Sainz, Norris, Perez, Alonso etc. So yeah...the point I'm making here is, Lewis and Charles have similar driving styles and they want the same things from the car. That's gonna help Ferrari build a car that works for both of them... and probably will make them closely matched.
Ferrari's mistake was in claiming Charles and Carlos had equal status, and Carlos's mistake was in believing them. Ferrari have always been a one-driver team. Wonder if Ferrari are already excluding Carlos from development plans: if they aren't yet they must soon be doing so surely. After all Redbull have already excluded Newey from development meetings . Am still surprised Elkann was willing to bust the bank to sign a 40 year old former world champion who hasn't won a race in three years. Ferrari can't be any more famous than they are already. Still, their money to waste.
In all these years Carlos has NEVER outscored Charles over a season straight up. The fact that you continuously seem to be throwing bad juju at Ferrari, feels like yourbare trying to start something Law! 😂😂😂😂 Love it though man. Im here for your opinion, whether i agree or not, your one of the best, but Ferrari will be fine with Charles, AND Lewis is starting to beat Russell by tens of seconds. Hes serious, and will prove as such!
Next year at Ferrari will be fascinating. The GOAT vs. Wonder Boy. I'm thinking it will be fireworks. If Ferrari get the karma they deserve, they'll implode.
Now we hear that Sainz is in talks with Williams of all teams - it speaks volumes that he may have no faith in the Audi project and considering how other drivers before him were duped - Eddie Irvine to Jaguar and Jarno Trulli/Ralf Schumacher to Toyota to name a few, I think that Sainz doesn't want to share the same fate. The Williams rumours are intriguing and if Newey has really been offered an ownership stake, it could be interesting
Scary actually with all the history, money and serious Ferrari take f1, how unsuccessful they have actually been if you take out the Schumacher era. Always challenging to an extent but they really should be untouchable,
That's all kind of meaningless since the other large teams, Red Bull and Mercedes, were also taking the sport seriously and investing a lot of money, especially Mercedes. It's not like Ferrari was the only team with money.
I don't get this whole "Audi F1" business. People seem to think it's going to be a "whoosh bang" magic trick and voila - Sauber becomes Audi and we all bow before the German circles. Personally I'm underwhelmed and it's almost presumptuous and cheeky they think they're worthy of a driver as good as Sainz, They're not and maybe in three years they will have earned the right to chase a top 6 driver. Unless money is a big motivating factor Carlos would be better off taking a sabbatical than going to that awful team who will destroy his credibility.
I think Audi will give up if they're not regularly in Q2 with the occasional Q3 appearance here and there (e.g. a midfield team at least) by Year 3. When BMW bought Sauber in 2005, the team was already a respectable midfielder and BMW was already an engine supplier for years. The current iteration that Audi owns is more akin to Jordan and Minardi were at the time than Sauber was back in '05 and Audi is a brand new player with zero experience in F1. Audi believes that their brand recognition and previous success in other categories would behoove drivers like Sainz to flock no questions asked. But IMO they'll repeat the same mistakes Toyota and even Jaguar did back in the 2000's - two strong brands that had racing pedigree, but floped due to either their own hubris or failure to understand F1's business model.
I'll take the Blic article with a grain of salt and throwing random names - while I agree Gasly and Ocon could be a potential Audi candidates if they're fed up with Alpine's constant underachieving, but Tsunoda and especially Drugovich? Tsunoda will remain loyal to either Red Bull or Honda so I doubt he'd go elsewhere outside these two circles. And why look at Drugovich, when Theo Pourchaire (the 2023 F2 champion) was part of the Sauber Academy and knows the place while Sauber also has Zane Maloney (the current F2 championship leader) in the academy. It appears that Bottas is looking for greener pastures elsewhere (Williams in particular) while Zhou Guanyu is also looking elsewhere (maybe even outside F1 like IndyCar or WEC). And Audi will be left with a finger in their mouth if Sainz flat out refuses to commit in 2025, Gasly and Ocon decide to stay put at Alpine while Bottas and Zhou leave the team as well. And to bring parallels to Toyota's first years in F1 - their first driver pair was Mika Salo (a dependable midfield driver, but not someone you'd build the team around) and Alan McNish (a driver with pedigree outside F1, but was a test driver for McLaren and Benetton in the 90's), while for the following year they were replaced by one-hit-woner Olivier Panis (who was never the same after the horrific crash at the 1997 Canadian GP) and 2002 CART winner Cristiano Da Matta. Hulkenberg fits right in the mould of Salo/Panis and given the ever so shrinking options they might end up with either a McNish or Da Matta type of driver
If Ferrari ends up kicking Sainz out, I think Aston Martin seems like a decent enough seat for him. It could also give Aston more of an advantage compared to Stroll. Also gives Alonso a much better teammate
It’s really not that deep. It’s a monegasque magazine not ferrari, not an official f1 account. Back in 2021 the silverstone account posted george photoshopped on valtteri’s body next to lewis! An official account and NO ONE said anything.
Getting a full time F1 drive is very rare ( more people have flown to space ), being the lead driver at a F1 team very rare. Being a lead F1 driver for a factory team that has a motorsport pedigree, next to impossible. I am hoping Carlos is just playing coy and waiting for the summer break to announce where he is going, if not, he needs a reality check. If he got a drive at RB or Mercedes he would be the 2nd driver and would only be short term.
Ask Eddie Irvine if those tyres were ever found... Sauber-Audi, according to rumors, is looking more and more about to replicate what Toyota did back in the days.
I'm still fuming over the Sainz situation. The man deserves a car that can compete. It's really sad when money speaks louder than talent and performance. Who knows, maybe Checo will get the boot and Sainz can sweep the field with Max in the RB.
This is turning into a true soap opera indeed. Call it “as the helmet turns”😉. So many “what ifs” that it’s just crazy. This is the most tumultuous period of time in the sport vis-à-vis drivers and teams in the last 10 plus years. How it’s going to shake out is anyone’s guess really…but it’s going to all happen I feel before or during the summer break though. Audi needs to get their lineup set…that German orderly way of doing business demands it. Ditto with Mercedes, where it’s a crap shoot as to who winds up there. Maybe Sainz, but again that German mindset doesn’t like indecision…and Sainz’s family may be a bit of a distraction for them as well. I can see George in the bulls eye for them, wanting to be the lead driver group. I don’t think Toto wants another Lewis/Nico fiasco. I can see it if that is the lineup. The rest of the guys rides truly depend on those two teams getting sorted - Audi and Mercedes. Once those two finalize, the rest of the dominos will fall into place. I’m anticipating that Perez won’t be an idiot and will stay for the 1 + 1 deal at Red Bull, so that would take 5 teams out (including McLaren ) with full driver lineups set. Then it will just be a mad scramble to get what is left over for the remaining drivers. If Bottas rejoins Vowels at Williams with Alex (nice pairing I think), then it’s 6 teams that are set. If Sainz and his manager- relative keep screwing around, he’s going to wind up with an even lesser team than Audi, and it will be tough to come back. Very tough.👍😁 As the helmet turns indeed!😳
Pah!! Speaking of Rubens like he shared the same air as Schumacher. Like but for team order Rubens had a hope of being Michael's on track equal. 🙄 Incidentally, how many times precisely did Coulthard have to gift Hakkinen the race lead? Just asking.
I feel for Carlos he stuck in the unenviable position of have to be a supportive team mate and pushing for the wins. Both of which will be taken in account for determining whom he drives for next year.
Sadly, I think Carlos will not be on the F1 grid for next year... He not going to sign for Audi until many other team is full, and I'm sure Audi will have a line-up already by then. He's going to Alonso himself out of F1...
Can you and J-bone do a podcast, and maybe with RPC locked up in a cage in the background, when the season is over? I love all the different angles you guys provide compared to the sanitized corporate pundits.
If anyone wants to add a content creater to my suggestion please the more the merrier, a whole panel of social media motorsport journalists would be a really interesting conversation.
I'm super curious as to who made the call late in the race at Silverstone in 2022. Charles leading the race, plenty of time to double-stack and they leave Charles out to dry and bring Sainz in for new tires. Someone engineered that race win for Carlos and sacrificed Charles to do it. I was beyond pissed and think that's when the clown, Binotto lost his job.
And all this time I thought what was wrong with the picture was 2 young kids playing in the middle of the street and hoping they don't become roadkill.
LOL it’s been seeming for some time like Audi hired you to do PR push to get Carlos on their team. I don’t actually think that literally, but my goodness if it were true I can’t imagine much more hype would be needed from your end. Of course Carlos is waiting to see if RB or Mercedes will sign him. And why wouldn’t Audi be willing to wait also until at least summer break? There are so many drivers available this year.
Even these options are running out while they wait for Sainz to say Yes/No - Alex Albon had already signed an extension with Williams, Bottas had hinted that he's on his way out, same with Zhou Guanyu and IMO Gasly and Ocon would prefer security by staying with Alpine. And if and when Sainz rejects their offer what options would be there for Audi in 2025? Bringing Hulk's Haas teammate Magnussen? Another chance for Vandoorne or De Vries? Calling up Lucas Di Grassi (hey, he has F1 experience even if it was 14 years ago)? Or randomly pick Nick Cassidy in hopes he could be the driver Sainz would've been for them?

@@fqeagles21 I'm not sure about that. It just seems that after his devastating loss in 2021, he's just not had the spark that made him the best for all those years (including his time at Mclaren). If the car doesn't handle the way he likes it, I wouldn't be surprised if he'll be sitting back in the same situation he is now with Russell
@@joshuawhelan9358 of course, the car needs to be to his likings
Get Carlos and Fernando in the same team and you can save money by firing your strategy team. The twin brains.
Oh I see, fair enough.
@@LawVS I did not want to come across as rude or anything. I am just a big Kimi fan, and I believe that the whole Santander thing was the reason why he suddenly dropped form in 2008. @@greenfj1466 Wow, I think that's a very fair assessment for Charles and Carlos. You did them both justice. Thank you.
no they havnt, lewis was better than both charles and sainz last year. imagine you are fred and the guy who just finished 3rd in the wdc and is a 7x wdc winner comes and asks you for a seat are you saying no?
As a driver he is good but what viewers miss, is the politics he brings with him. His entourage is insufferable and the Spanish media quite toxic. Yes, Lewis may or may not perform better but the environment at Ferrari will be better without Sainz.
Starting to think there is no downside to Sainz at Audi. If they stink, Sainz can blame the growing pains of a works team. If they succeed, the gamble paid off.
People call Ferrari a graveyard of drivers, how about this stinker of a startup?

It's Felipe Massa actually. Brazilian name

Watch Monaco GP of 2022 and see how Ferrari were two separate teams.
or Siverstone 2022.. That one still irritates me.
@@prongATO it will forever hurt mate
In addition, Leclerc f@cked up his own races too.

The utter disrespect to Carlos makes me hope that Hamilton ultimately doesn’t have much to offer them. Nothing against Lewis.

how is carlos being disrespected lmao
@@fqeagles21 red bull gets all the trolling but honestly Ferrari treats their drivers (especially the second one) much much worse....
@@gunjantripathi9271 nah marko even said Perez don't perform cause he's Mexican, Ferrari treats them better
I concur. I also think this channel is dramatizing the Lewis/Carlos/Ferrari situation out of proportion
I would have at least hoped they at least got the racing suits right!
@@LawVS how would they know what the 2025 race suits look like? Also its not an F1 publication, I'm sure the designer just looked up Ferrari race suit and drew the first one they saw
The 2024 suits would do since they probably will remain the same, the new visual presentation seemingly solid.
Tbh, that wasn't Ferrari shafting him as much as it was Ferrari being stupid, and Carlos (by luck or using his head) took advantage
@@Ryzardi mean he could have defended instead of overtaking leclerc and leaving him to battle against Lewis alone in Silverstone.... Uk be a team player to get the championship contender more points
@@Ryzard Carlos had the bad luck at various points of the season too but Charles never benefited from cos he was nearly always ahead
There’s only two drivers that would have taken Carlos’ seat. Max and Lewis. Ferrari just so happened to get one of them. Love Carlos’ driving but I’d still make the change 100%.
WHERE'S POOCHIE?!
Holy hell I wasn't ready for that
Hipoteticaly:
RB might decide to keep Perez and Ricciardo and Tsunoda start to be real close and they keep them too, or replace Ric for Liam.
You have officially become of my morning routine

Look for the new LAWVS VIDEO 😁
Tha k you, this is what I've been saying.
Lewis v. Charles will not be much of a fight - much of it will be predetermined this year, and in the opening phases of 2025.
Ferrari will gravitate to Lewis, especially with him bringing his own people in. Unless Charles somehow puts up a championship challenge, it'll be difficult for him to remain in control.
My hope is a dream team that gives nightmare a new meaning. Calos made the mistake of doing well...without permission
The thumbnail!!! I love itttt!!!
Yes. I also want to completely forget the 2021 season. But for different reasons.
I was at the Indianapolis race where Schumacher gave the race to Rubens.
Must've been confusing who won.
I think Audi won't be competitive until at least 2027.
My take on that image is lewis is on his way to the prancing horse and charles is looking forward to the future of the team.
If Yuki gets that 2nd Audi seat....it might be called Audi-Honda....Audi car with a Honda engine....hehehe

@@NorthWolfRising Who knows....probably much cheaper for Audi to use Honda power units rather building one....hehehe

Brilliant idea, he needs to make a small foam ladder and call it "the ladder of doubt". 😂
It’s really not that deep. It’s a monegasque magazine not ferrari, not an official f1 account. Back in 2021 the silverstone account posted george photoshopped on valtteri’s body next to lewis! An official account and NO ONE said anything.
I want Max and Carlos together so badly it's made me actively root against Checo

Very tough.👍😁
As the helmet turns indeed!😳

I feel for Carlos he stuck in the unenviable position of have to be a supportive team mate and pushing for the wins. Both of which will be taken in account for determining whom he drives for next year.
Sadly, I think Carlos will not be on the F1 grid for next year... He not going to sign for Audi until many other team is full, and I'm sure Audi will have a line-up already by then. He's going to Alonso himself out of F1...
he seems to run away from Hulkenberg in audi...mercedes are slow in deciding, hes gonan be left forced to join williams or leave f1

5:30 It’s actually Barrichellos birthday today!
How about Sainz to RB - therefore he can still wait it out for max or Checo and be in the family for immediate promotion and RB ain’t too bad either
And all this time I thought what was wrong with the picture was 2 young kids playing in the middle of the street and hoping they don't become roadkill.
Charles will began the number 2, just wait…
Where was carlos in AD 23, when Ferrari was fighting for WCC??? WHERE WAS HE??? 😑😑
