I love it! I agree with the topcoat because I dislike wires too. You could also put coloured dots over where each light is for a bauble effect.😍
Glad you like it 😊

❤❤❤ Gorgeous, I love this so much!! 😊 The top coat was perfect! I think it was the thing to do! 🎉
I really enjoy your videos!!!!❤❤❤
Thank you so much!!
I love it! Came out beautiful ❤. I think the topcoat made all the difference. xx
I think so too! Though I liked it without too :)
I would create a template of the tree and then create a frame of UV resin on a silicone mat. Attach the lights to the frame. Then drop the whole frame into the mold. I would have added the top coat, too.
Yes I know. I was demoing this particular technique here though.some parts stuck, the parts that didn't I used the anchoring technique. I often do the old "frame " trick, I was demoing a different one here :)
Adorable….
Glad you like it
gorgeous x
Thanks
It turned out beautiful. I agree with the top coat. I haven’t tried using lights in my resin projects. You have inspired me. 😅
They are fun to experiment with )
Personally I feel it came out brilliant, love the color choices. I think it would have been fine with or without the top coat.
Thanks
I love it. I would have topped it off too to cover the wires.
Yeh I think it was the right decision too :)
Looks lovely Tracey, and I think adding the topcoat was a smart idea 💡 😊
I think so too!
I am in love with this project!! I've never seen how to add the lights so I thank you very much for that tutorial. Adding the top coat really hid those wires but I thought the wires showing were OK too. Like you said, they looked like tinsel. This is going to be such a wonderful keepsake for your niece. I would be absolutely thrilled to get such a heartfelt and gorgeous piece. Thank you for sharing this with us. I wish you and your family a beautiful and blessed Holiday Season. See you soon.
❤️🎅🏼🎄⛄️❤️🎅🏼🎄⛄️❤️
Thanks Lorraine, Happy Christmas :)
Cute! The top coat was a good idea. 👏🏻🎄
I think so too!
Yea,the just underline wiith gold looks better. Would be nice. To do the same with different colors. 😊
Yes I agree 😊
This came out gorgeous ❤
Thanks :)
Hi Tracey beautiful gift 😍, love the picture of the dog thanks for sharing, merry Christmas to you and family and all the best for 2024 ❤❤❤ xxx
Thanks Michelle - have a great christmas xxx
Oh my goodness she is going to love it. Merry Christmas
Since you asked I do like the top coat. With the wire sill showing ever so slightly and the white it created a wispiness. but I think I would have left the star alone.
yes maybe leaving the star... that's a thought :) Happy Christmas
Thank you for another great video, Tracey. I love the end results of this, and I hope your Niece loves it too. A very Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thank you! You too!
Love it as always, Tracey. Defo would have done a top coat. So you did the right thing there. Hope you are well x
Thanks ad yes, hope you are too x
@miniscenesgb glad you are well and yes I'm very good thank you for asking x
LOVE IT ❤❤❤❤❤I would have top coated it as well
Glad you like it :)
😊 this is lovely! You are a joy to watch. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS
You too :)
It turned out super cute! I work with lights and resin on my tumblers and in molds all the time. A suggestion (if I may) lay a thin layer of colored resin first then once cured lay in your lights. That will give you a nice smooth surface and will prevent you from seeing so much of the cord and help you adhere the lights with UV better too.. Happy Christmas to you too!
Yes that's what I usually do, though this time I wanted to try clear on the front. Didn't work so well so I did it after x
Love how the dog picture worked out. Very nice
Thanks :)
Great gift. Happy new year.
You too!
I love how this came out Tracey. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Thank you! You too!
What a thoughtful gift for your niece. She will love it. It came out beautifully. Happy holidays to you and your family
Thanks and you too Rosemarie :)
I love it! Thank you for the demonstration. I’m making one and hadn’t even thought of lights! I think the top coat was a good choice. ❤❤
Glad it was helpful!
Aww it's beautiful, I used to have weimeraner's ,that photo is amazing, great video, Merry Christmas 🎄❤️
Thank you! You too!
It turned out gorgeous love it ❤❤❤
thanks :)
Happy Christmas and Happy New Year from Oklahoma. Hope your holidays are blessed. Love you Ms. Tracey.
Same to you!
Lovely
Glad you like it
I love it, and the top coat is great. ❤❤❤
Merry Christmas and happy New Year, I hope you have a blessed one.
Thank you! You too!
It's lovely and the topcoat was a good choice! Made me think of creating some sort of template to hold just the LEDs into the first layer of resin and then buch the wire in for the next layer. Not a job worth doing for a one time project but if I did a lot in the same mould it would probably be worth it.
It's a good idea if you're going to make a lot the same :)
I would have top coated both sides🤪🥰
I thought about t but it was getting rather thick :)
Yes please to the video on how you did it I'm crap with my cricut and after my recent vinyl eye injury looking for something else to use it for than weeding small tiny dots! 🙈
I’m still learning too, so much to do with the Cricut. I’ll. are a. Video on stickers when I’m better as a few have said yes too
I’ve done a lot of projects with lights and found the best way to hide the wires is to put a thin-ish layer of coloured resin in the mould first, and then when it has cured, the lights can be easily attached where you want with UV resin. It sticks to the resin base better than it does to silicone, and you don’t see the wires, or the blobs of clear resin you use to attach the lights. Beautiful result 👏
Yes that's what I usually do. This video was just to show the anchoring technique pros and cons
Nice work! I think, that you toped it with the translucent resin on the back, just made it really luxurious. I wish you peaceful holidays and a happy new year 🎅🏻🤶🏻⛄🌲
Greetings Maggy Phoenix
Thank you! You too!
❤
Glad you like it
I have ordered from Just 4 U, they are amazing, the customer service is amazing to. Will definitely be buying more from them especially the white paste you used for your Xmas tree, which by the way is stunning x
Yes they are!
I like it. I do like a to coat. 😊
Glad you like it
Happy Christmas to you and a happy new year ❤
You too x
Definitely the topcoat. I don't mind wires but I love the look with the topcoat. ❤❤❤ Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. I have been watching videos I missed before. ❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊 Happy Christmas to you too and I'm glad you're enjoying my videos
I use the shorter lights and then I didn't need to use uv resin. Then I hid the lights with a green glitter. Then put mini glitter stickers of balls and candycanes. I also put in those fake stringed lights and clear coated that. So my back was my front. It came out so cute, my neighbor stole it. 😆 🤣 😂 just kidding. I gave it to her. It makes me happy 😊
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well 😊🎉
Yes I've done that, just wanted to demo this technique on this video :) Happy christmas
I would love tone to see the tree green
Maybe next year we do a green one :)
Such a thoughtful gift your niece will treasure that for ever. Happy Christmas Tracey to you and yours. Keep up the great content for 2024 xx
You too x
You can cure UV resin a little bit , then immerse it into water to finish the cure, this process stops item from becoming sticky. The magnification of water cause the resin to completely cure whereas without immersing can leave stickyness.
Yes the Daniel Copertino technique was discovered long after I made this video. It sure does work 😊
When doing flat shaped molds like this an wanting to stick lights in certain places on flat molds, I do a super thin layer of epoxy then UV the lights to the cured layer so they don't pop out. They are the most annoying thing to stick down to molds ever that was what I found the easiest in less stressful way 😂 then top coat to hide the clear layer
Yes I often do that too. I was showing a different technique here 😊
Turned out beautiful ❤ what a lovely gift 😊 Happy Christmas everyone x
Thank you! You too!
That turned out adorable Tracey!!! Hope you have the happiest of holidays!!! ❤🎄
Thank you! You too!
Yes to top coat. Only other thing I would have done is put a pic of dog on both sides of babble
That would have been a good idea, I didn't think of that :)
Please show how you did the sticker print and cut. I need to learn how to use my new Cricut.
OK will do once Im better. Will be after Christmas :)
I would Love to see how you did the prints with Cricut design space
OK I'll do a video on that soon
Love this. Where can I get the mold?
The link is in the video description :)
You made it look so pretty. without the topcoat when you could see the lights it reminded me of when i was young and that's how lights were. I have one critique and it's not you it's the mold. I've seen it made by other brands they are the same. then shape cut out of the tree doesn't echo the circle that hangs there so it look a bit odd. btw any date on the experiment?
Yeh that's how it is. No not yet, I'm still working on the shrinking - and now I'm sick so it'll be a w hile after christmas
@@miniscenesgb get better soon
Beautiful xx Did you use an inkjet or laser printer for the image ? X Merry Christmas x
just an inkjet - a cannon pixma
Merry Christmas ❤️ It looks great! Is it the Cricut brand stickers you used? I looked on your list but didn’t find them. The ones I have always leave air bubbles under the stickers and I can’t get them out. Yours looks great!
no just some transparent sticker vinyl, I can't remember what brand. I'll do a video on making them when I'm better
@@miniscenesgb Ok Thank you.
I still didn’t find the Guinea pig mould in your listings.
It's not in my listings :) i don't offer that mould for sale currently. I sell the little piggies that I make to order in my ebay store
I use lights frequently, hint/tip I pour a thin layer of color then after it cures I put lights down with UV resin then layer of glitter and bobles cure and clear top coat, so I'm working my moulds "backwards" technically. LOL. 🫶
Yes I often do that too. Just wanted to show an alternative in this video :)
