I'm just getting back into rc planes again after a 25 year absence. I've had my eye on this plane and I've seen both your videos on this. I ordered the plane, 4 smart batteries and the battery tool you talked about in this video. Used your link when I ordered, thanks for your reviews.
This was a great show. Abby, your camera work is fantastic. I love how you have no problems following the various craft, letting us observe what is happening.
I have tried tracking airplanes and it is super difficult with a camra its amazing camra work here

E-flite Conscendo Evolution models are now in stock and shipping in Europe, and will begin shipping from both warehouses in the US later today (Tuesday, 7/28/2020)! BNF Basic version models are currently available in limited supply in all warehouses, along with PNP version models in the US (PNPs are currently sold out in EU, but more stock will be arriving in a few weeks). And if you pre-ordered, your order should be spooled and shipped automatically in the next few days (so please don't place a new order and cancel your pre-order because you see them in stock now/later today)!
Also, we did take some time to check the top speed when using Spektrum Smart 4S 2200mAh 30C batteries last week...level flight top speeds are around 80-85 MPH, and you can easily hit 90+ MPH coming out of a dive! It's even faster than we expected, and although that's not all this model is about, it's pretty darn impressive...and is a whole lot of fun :D

But can we use the transmitter with another plane ? Does horizon make these or just a major distributor receiving them to your specs? Meaning if we bought elsewhere ...in a different country , the locked thing may not apply?
I have a couple of 3S Smart batteries (bought an Aeroscout RTF and then got another one when I bought the Valiant BNF). I learned that my charger (came with the Aeroscout) can only do up to 3S. I say all that to say this: I was really glad when you answered my question about whether I can use my hobby-grade charger to do the 4S one (if I decide to buy one, which I will at some point, obviously). And especially glad to know about that tester. I will order one of those in the next few minutes. Also loved the sentiment at the end. Keep up the great work, y'all.

Just bought this on pre-order. Have been flying this spring with the AeroScout S 1.1m RTF after not flying for ~20 years and wanted to upgrade to a great second plane. Thanks to the RcSaylors for what you do and your attitude - fun and optimistic.

Mine comes tomorrow, cant wait to fly it. This is one f those planes that every reviewer seems in love with, and many have purchased every iteration over the years.
The weather has just not been very cooperative this winter in Seattle, and of course we are getting a snow storm the day this one is delivered. So now I have the Arrow Husky and the Conscendo to maiden if the sun ever returns without his friend the wind.

If you want to watch a honestand true review I'm an RC watch these kids. I've been watching them for over a year there is honest as they come I wish I tube had more like them I even have bought several airplanes that they talk and they're true to their word........love you guys keep up the good work.

Very nice demo of what this glider can do. I have to say, unexpected. BUT, Abby, amazing job keeping it in frame. I know there were moments but you did awesome. Kinda more impressed by that then the plane. No offence Nate. ;)

Hello again RCSaylors! I quizzed you before about the graphics on this plane. I received mine today (after using your link to order) and all the graphics are easy to remove stickers without the need for a heat gun or anything else, and they don't take foam with them. This opens up the possibility for all kinds of custom paint schemes. I just pulled all mine off, and outside of the black cockpit and propeller it's a blank canvas. If I'm honest, the stickers weren't applied very well anyway, lots of wrinkles and bubbles. I'm going to paint mine in a more traditional red nose, tail, wing tips style and use some of the supplied black stickers under the wing for orientation. Thanks again for your help. Can't wait to get it in the air!

I overshot my runway a couple of times, it wants to keep flying, I had a pushrod sticking in the rudder , not a big problem because most steering is with airloins, it's becoming my favorite airplane, it's a Beast on 4s 2200 lipos!
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 That is a nice plane. Mine's been on order since it came out and I can't wait for it. Like you said... it's not a glider, It's pretty much an aerobatic-warm-liner. (similar to HK Excalibur, Syknetic Shrike, GP Kunai) You got 10+ minutes on that 4S battery and there was juice left. Compare that to a warbird or jet where they can fly for 4-5 minutes. HH did a good job of stiffening it up and juicing up the power system. Nice video. Enjoy your summer!

Flew two flights today on the Smart 3s lipo's, got 30mins plus on each pack. Each battery I used only 45% of the juice available, did not want to go over 50% till i have at least 10 flights for break-in. Did a combo of sport aerobatics and thermal chasing both flights. If you are on the fence do yourself a favor, just purchase this plane for its a blast and joy to fly...

I fought like Hell not to buy this. I have a Radian, 2 Hawksky’s and a gifted 1st generation Conscendo.
I think I’m about 6 months behind you on the Learning Curve. The first video of yours I watched was the Venom Quad Pro when I was looking for a battery charger after I bought the Apprentice S a month after I got in the sport. (4 1/2 years ago???)
The Radian and Hawksky are fun planes. Great 1st or 2nd planes. Long flight times, easy to recover if you do something wrong. Like you, I have that “Need for Speed”. This is the best of both worlds. Glide around if you’re at a small field or park, or open it up if you got room.
Lastly, don’t let anyone tell you that you’re flying it wrong. I would’ve flown it exactly as you did if I was there with you and Abbey. It’s your plane, your channel, fly it covered in peanut butter and chocolate sauce.
Do what you want to do Nate. It’s informative and it’s fun to watch. Because of you, I own 3 1/2 Vipers, 2 Marlins, a Conscendo and a Quad Pro.... And probably an A-10 soon.

Since you love sport flying like this you should try the Volantex asw 28 v2. You will love it!! It is so fast and super sporty glider.

I generely use about 30 percent expo to help me with 3d flying. It helps a ton but i must say your very good without expo. I think its realy up to you on what you setup should be if you like expo use it if you dont then dont use it no problem.
i have the conscendo advanced. the wing is so efficient that it won't slow down. needs flaps so i added them inboard of the ailerons. its got more miles on it than a New York City cab

I have both. The Excalibur is heavier and faster but.... It's also louder. I like flying the Conscendo at parks.
Great glider and stunt plane into one!…I remember when I was flying gliders(without props)..you practically have to look for a wide open space with ample wind just to launch the plane

they are great first planes imo... hand launching is very easy with those... with all planes you have a person that has experience help you... once those planes are set up a trimmed they are easiest planes to fly...
I think that's what a glider should be, just to float through the air but it's nice too that, unlike the real ones, that you can fly it itself. Although it might be kinda neat to see one being towed to its height then have it glide around and down.

Wait, what 3s battery lasts the longest, we bought some batteries and they are 2,000 mah, So I wonder how long that lasts compared to the 4s and how well it uuu grabs thermals!! I believe the batteries used for the older planes like you used, are the best for thermals. IDK I haven't tried it yet but actually want to buy a few batteries just because.... Thanks, confusing lol.

nice video, maybe you can get those little air whistles that are on a nerf foot ball or nerf ammo and put a few of them on the outside of this plane and fly it fast.
That sure does look like an awesome plane. BTW, with the XBC100 there is no need to plug in the balance lead to get all the data on the smart battery. You can just plug in the main power lead, it gets all the info from the grey middle wire.

Good deal. I hate yanking on the ballance lead taking it off everytime. So it's not needed even ballancing the cells etc?
You still need to use the balance lead for charging if you want the cells balanced, even if you use one of the smart chargers. The grey wire is a data wire which provides all sorts of info regarding the battery to a charger, tester or esc capable of reading it. In order to balance the cells the balancer needs to draw small amounts of current from the individual cells until they are balanced. This can only be done through the balance lead.
Hmmm, odd sound from motor when launching with 4S, did you bang the noise cone that’s on the end of the motor shaft really hard on a post or tree trunk? I have twice and both times the motor started making “that noise”. Now I have admitted to ramming hard objects twice now it’s you turn (maybe).
I have many 3S lipos; however, none with IC3. Would you trust an XT60 - IC3 adapter?
I saw the v900 review and also saw the concendo review.
I like a fast and fun aircraft. Which one do you recommend? I mainly use a 4s battery.
Cycle count doesn't always mean flights, if you have it set for self discharge many times you need to recharge due that condition. Wish they could separate full from used charge vs just topping off from self discharge. Awesome video, but very sorry i ordered one but forgot to use your link.
Can you do a review of the Skyrc GSM-015 and GSM-020. Which one would you recommend. The 015 with the screen or the 020 using the app. The difference in weight is about 9g
I purchased one and my third flight 2 hours and 45 minutes and I just didn't Glide all day I played with it what is exceptional plane glider for whatever you want to call it

Great video as usual. Many of the planes that I own were all suggestions that you made in past videos. Thank you for that. I was wondering if you have done a video review of the 1.5 meter Turbo Timber? I would really like your thoughts on that. I saw your videos for the UMX Turbo Timber and the Night Timber but could not find your video on the former. BTW, I pre-ordered the Consendo Evolution plane from you link along with a 4S battery.
They haven't done one, I've asked them to, but isn't in the cards for them, but I do own one. Its a great plane, landing gear has a few weak points, but it is a very capable plane, and on 4s its a 75mph plane. It does feel a little heavy in the air, but you get used to it. Full flaps, and full throttle and its off the ground in about 2 feet. Hope this helps.

Hello Saylors! First time commenting so I want to thank you for your channel. You do a great job and have great content. I really love the casual, "have FUN people!" feel. One quick question about the Conscendo, how are the graphics applied to the top section of the wing? I'm seriously considering this plane, and will probably purchase it anyway, but I'm not too keen on my planes being a marketing billboard and I generally like to modify the appearance of my aircraft. Thanks Kalvin! I just ran down to check mine for ya. Upon running my thumb across the decals, I can feel the "bump" of the sticker for the branding portion. I believe if you heated the area up with a hair dryer or heat gun, then peeled slowly, these could easily come off. I hope this helps!! I thank you for watching, and for your comment. It does look crazy fun thanks in big part to your video. I'm primarily a UMX plane pilot, but flew 2M sailplanes back in the 80s and 90s and your footage of flying at zero throttle took me back. This plane seems to have the best of both worlds. I'll find a way to fit it in my limited "hanger" space! Thanks again, and know that your videos are an injection of "positive" in our lives.
Bear in mind also, the main wing easily comes apart not only from the fuselage with four screws (awesome) but the main wing is in two halves as well. Great for storage and transportation. Best of both worlds indeed! I'll be dumbfounded and completely shocked if for any reason you dont love this RC. Please give us a follow up after a couple flights 😉😃✈⚓
Love your videos. Do you find the plane gets torn up at all from grass landings? Any idea on top speed? I know it’s a glider, but man that plane is fast! I had a few jets with no landing gear and they were beat up pretty bad after so many landings.
I usually put box tape on my belly landers that keeps the protected for the most part

Hey if anyone could answer my question it would be lots of help. I'm deciding on buying that smart charger checker for the auto discharge function. Only part I'm not understanding is if I set it to 72hours for the auto discharge. Does the battery discharge in those 72hours or after 72hours have passed ? Thank you
That's when it starts to discharge. Good question.

For those thinkiing of any new Horizon Hobby BNF models. the AR637T TX installed in these models is locked. That means if you ever crash or tire of the model, you either throw away a 120€ TX or are forced to buy a BNF of the same model and reinstall. Given how often Horizon retire models this may be a problem in future or likely you get charged to unlock. At the moment Horizon refuse to help you unlock the AR637T so it can be used in other models. Model is OK, its not a great glider but its OK. Also not super stiff (especially tail boom) as most reviews are informing and you may want to consider better servos.. also check control cables to elevator and rudder..,. they can slip.
what do you think about this vs the radian FT 2.0?

No, a controller is not included with this model. The one we were using is linked in our video description box and pinned comment 😉👍😃😎⚓
When you charge the Smart battery without a Smart charger, does the battery still count the cycle count?

@@TheRcSaylorsdoes the chip register a cycle by each 2200 mah refilled OR just capping off each time? For example will it register a cycle from 4.0v to 4.2v? Seems would be more accurate going by how many times 2200 mah is put back in.
