I mean, a Quick Ball turn 1 against a catch rate 45 Pokemon in Gen VI is a 225 catch rate, which is almost a 255 catch rate, meaning there's about a 1/4 chance of nabbing either Xerneas or Yveltal right away.
are we not gonna mention the horror known as B/W's red health theme? They took an irritating beep of "hey you're about to die!" and turned it into a catchy and blood pumping song that goes on, and it just adds to the heat of the moment while you try to handle such a dangerous situation. Sure to bring terror to anyone playing a nuzlocke.
When I played white for the first time and the music switched to that on low health I was so suprised. It was awesome, wish they kept it in future generations

its very good but i think its kinda overrated bc of how iconic the red fight is, i wouldnt really say among the absolute best, id put it just below the middle of champion themes, and obvi theres some gym leader/legendary/special battle/rival themes that are probably better as well. its hard tho, since even the “weak” music in this franchise blows most ost out of the water
HG/SS ruined the track....the Original is much more savage. HG/SS made it a mellow boring track and the original just screams: “You’re going to lose.” No official remix hits that track right.

My favorite theme is the Battle Tower in Sword and Shield. I love how energetic and fast paced it is and the fact that Toby Fox composed it makes it even better.

There’s a lot of amazing songs throughout the gens, but one I seem to always find myself crawling back to just for a good vibe is Driftveil city. By no means as amazing or iconic as many of the greats (like the main title theme), but definitely my favorite just to listen to.

I think that upon a close examination of gen 5 you can really feel that it was a passion project of sorts from gamefreak and that’s why it’s so unfortunate that when the game came out people dunked on it so hard for silly reasons

But when you finally defeated every gym Battle, every Champion and every Trainer of two Regions in HG/SS and you get access to Mt.Silver you don't even expect Red to be there. You just get warned by Oak from wild Pokemon. And then Red is completely overleveld and kicks your ass while this intense music plays. It's a completely different feeling to hear this theme while you're battling the best Trainer of the world or a Champion who has a Team that unfinished he even got two of the same species... 😅
I like all the Box Legendary themes, but in my opinion the Weather Trio theme is just a step above the rest. Dialga and Palkia's theme is amazing, don't get me wrong but the Lake Trio's theme is just Godly.

The fact that N’s final battle track isn’t on this list is baffling. Seriously, I don’t think there is a single battle song in the entire series that is anywhere as epic or intense as that one.
I personally think that the champion Leon song really sells the idea of fighting a grand battle, similar to the gym theme, the intro is certainly the best part.

Especially for someone who hates that theme. Allow me to introduce myself.
Gen 5 really was the generation Gamefreak loved and the design, story and [most important factor in this vid] music is unbelievable.
I think that upon a close examination of gen 5 you can really feel that it was a passion project of sorts from gamefreak and that’s why it’s so unfortunate that when the game came out people dunked on it so hard for silly reasons

My favorites are the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum Trainer Battle Music, Gym Battle Music, Cynthia's Battle Music and of course the Kalos Battle music. Alola has some great music as well

@@light_player07 Right. And I'll tell you why: Because Lance SUCKS compared to Red. I seriously had no Problem at all destroying his Dragonites.
But when you finally defeated every gym Battle, every Champion and every Trainer of two Regions in HG/SS and you get access to Mt.Silver you don't even expect Red to be there. You just get warned by Oak from wild Pokemon.
And then Red is completely overleveld and kicks your ass while this intense music plays. It's a completely different feeling to hear this theme while you're battling the best Trainer of the world or a Champion who has a Team that unfinished he even got two of the same species... 😅
