So you need some good apps for your ipad or tablet. Well, these are the TOP 5 APPS FOR ARCHITECTS AND DESIGNERS IN 2020! This is not your generic off the internet list. This is the best 5 apps for architects and architecture students that have been field tested and proven to be effective.
If you can think of better set of 5 apps for architects I challenge you to prove it! The first is morpholio trace, which is basically a technological version of butter paper. Next is onedrive, without it professional life would be extremely challenging. The comes ms teams, this one has really come into its own during the whole covid pandemic. Without MS Teams, communicating between offices or even with remote clients would be a challenge. A to-do list makes a strong appearance on this top 5 apps for architects and designers list and closely followed by a notes app.

My favorite style is "inviting industrial" (I didn't know it was a thing till I did some looking up).I love the way it combines modern Scandinavian style with casual industrial is so unique and from Snugverse were really great in translating this into a solution that I really loved.
I really appreciated this video. The information presented is spot on. The to do list was a crucial one for me. School work, full time job and business all kept me all over the place until I finally got a good list down for organization. Thank you David

How old are you ?
I am in 3rd year of my architecture school and these are the apps which help me the most (and all of them are in a way i feel are better apps than the one David showed us.
1. Procreate
2. Google Drive
3. Adobe Scan
4. Notion
5. Google Files
The only valid new addition in that list that isn't a direct competitor to the suggested apps in this video is notion.
You have your suggested apps that every university student should have, while this video is focusing on architecture

Whats your opinion on the new Tab s7+ versus ipad pro for architects
Havent tried them yet.
Ipad pro is still a better device. Samsung tablets havent caught up in a long time and most of the apps on samsung tablets are unoptimized so you'll have to put up with zoomed in versions of phone apps.
The new iPad with M1 chip just destroyed every other competitor .

First app is OK, the the rest four can be applied to any industry..
You can apply anything to any industry, it's how you use it to achieve productive results that matters
Are there more generic apps than Microsoft OneDrive, ToDo and Apple Notes?

The problem is the architecture specific task solutions don't have apps. Try ProWorkFlow for time management, Programma for selections, TeamGannt for organising projects and teams.
I am on microsoft revit system and I am thinking of buying a tablet. Should I go for Ipad or surface ?

@@DavidTomic Does it work to be on windows autocad and revit and yet buy an IPAD? Also does surface pro have equavalent softwares to procreate and layers for sketching etc that shown in IPAD? Also is LIDAR useful?

What about actual architectural apps ? Like SketchUp or AutoCAD ?
If you can figure out how to effectively use sketch up or autocad on an iPad then yeah sure but currently not ideal

honestly speaking. most of the apps are for general productivity not specifically for archi or designers. i have to say this is not helpful at all. ur title is very misleading. stop wasting people's time.
