So my buddy @JakeLoosemore grabbed this the other day and has been telling me I need to check it out ever since. The Custom Shop guitars from Gibson really are quite different to the standard production stuff...

In my opinion the 335 is the best guitar from Gibson. Great play John!

Once you see / feel the differences in custom shop you can’t un-see them and things are never quite the same again .. great video🐾

Nice review, I learned a few things about my GCS ‘64 345 Premiere that I didn’t realize, stuff like the reddish TS appearance of the side dots and the thinner neck binding, thanks for edumacating me, I love it even more now.

I think a really important thing I didn't see as option is fret size. I recently got rid of a lot of amps and used some of the money to get a murphy lab les paul that's listed as having narrow/tall frets. I tried a 335 with blocks but the frets are wider and not as high, immediately disqualified it for me. If it had taller frets I might well have bought it but at that price I'm not immediately going for a refret.

Supposedly the Richlite fingerboards have a better sound. it is compressed paper/which is wood essentially. Guitarista just got a new Standard in 8.5 pounds, he selected it by serial number and photo/description, and weight was in that selection. He seems quite tickled with it.
