I can't believe I didn't hear from her before a few weeks ago and all through a tweet of the late Sinéad O'Connor, who posted I Ren from Ren on there, 1 of her last tweets b4 she died (which we still don't know the cause off). So on Spotify, I started listening to Ren and that's how I got to know their songs and hers on here and Spotify and fell in love with her and this is my favorite, but live her songs with Ren, Cold Water, Fingers, esp the live version on here and I live her and the video of Little Girl Gone and also Trigger, the rest I haven't heard more than 1 or 2 times, but I will when I get the time. Coz a lot uf great artists were send my way after Chinchilla: Chandler Leighton's Monster, an American singer/songwriter Paris Paloma (great lyrics on female empowerment, very different music and singer, but similar themes. I'm still getting used to Melanie Martinez Album Portals, which has songs I loved right away, others later and some, I still need to hear a few times b4 I know of I like them or not. I'm 54 next Saturday, so I listen to all kinds of genres, from different eras even 😅

I think it's a little more than female flexing. A common theme in Chinchilla's work so far the is double entendres for being a solo artist who was stiffed by the industry in some way. She's saying, they keep coming with empty gifts, but she knows she can bring the fire on her own. The other half of the entrendre is of course, single, confident women don't need no man. I'm a dude, but this is my favourite Chinchilla track to date. Crazy she was only 21 when Elements was released.
Disappointed Brian… While Gal Gadot is amazing, Linda Carter was WAY ahead of her time. I’m an oldie… and she was one of several from ‘back in the day’ to pave the way for women’s empowerment. For it’s time.. which came just on the heels of women being able to get a loan without having to have their spouse or father co-sign with them (which my Dad had to do in 1972). TV Wonder Woman was groundbreaking. Perhaps you had to be female and live in that time to fully understand - so, you’re forgiven!! Thank-you (and Cedric) for another great reaction with Chinchilla!!
