I think it's doubly aimed at male, but also industries (music particularly).
I do think she is 100% wrong about the "I don't need no man" thing. Men and women need each other. You show me a man that says he doesn't need a woman, and I'll show you a miserable man. You show me a woman that says she doesn't need a man and I'll show you a miserable woman. It's naïve. But she was young, and it's a flex song, so whatever. It's still a banger.
