I'm a big brother to my little sister, and I cant get over how furious it makes me that this song is something that so many of our sisters and aunts and mothers can relate to. There are too many men who take advantage of our loved ones (ie girls and women we care for). As a man, I[m doing what I can to deconstruct this insidious power structure we have that leads to so many girls and women who experience this disgusting power differential. We need to deconstruct the power differential that we have as men. Men shouldn't be held to some special value, such that women feel obligated to give us their time or attention.It's sick to just rely on being male to expect that a woman will cave to us because we have this perceived place of power over everyone.
