I did get a DUI and a possession charge but I'm not a convicted felon and I have been clean going on 5yrs now. Geez man, you can feel the trauma in this guy talking about childhood. I grew up in Southie in the 70s and it was the white projects, Irish, very hard times lots of fighting starting at literally age 3-5 for most boys unless you hid inside, big kids made us fight. I was lucky to have good parents, but I got beat up a lot for it by kids who were jealous. Fucked up but I see why.
I can totally relate. My mother was on drugs when I was a child,so therefore I refused to repeat that cycle. Maybe just out of shear spite there was no way in he'll I was going to end up like her. Or be the mother she was to me,to my children. Smh there's 2 types of ppl in this world...those who follow suit,and those who refuse to. Be a leader not a follower was my #1 rule and motto throughout my life and the most important lesson I taught my children!!

There is work everywhere right now and I'm union aswell as a maintenance worker in a big machine shop . And I have 2 felonies and a thick rap sheet . So there is jobs for ladies and men who have records if you want it !
Facts! I have multiple felonies and a long history of incarceration & drugs. Now in IAW union working for a steel mill owned by one of the largest companies in the U.S. work genuinely isn’t that hard except for the heat & the cold winters in Ohio but really an easy 6 figures. If people like you & I can make it, anyone can if they put their mind to it. Salute to you homie 🫡
IF there was a way for ex cons to just STOP and be humble, then they could allow people who want to help them slowly reacclaimate into society. 😢 They basically need a social programming but they must be willing to throw the flags down and surrendering themselves to the cause of their own well being.
