Amazing Sensei, we have so much to learn from him. Respect from a Shorin Ryu practitioner.

Goju-Ryu karate was largely influenced by White Crane Kung Fu, from the Fujian province in the south of China. According to some historians, the same White Crane influenced the birth of Wing Chun. For me personally, the rebirth of this kind of bunkai is taking us back to the past, so we can build a solid future for karate, because karate is not all about competition.

The depth of Taira Sensei knowledge comes from his life experiences, and the mind field of what he has witnessed on the streets

Or from achieving yellow belt level in an FMA style or JKD. At orange he wouldn't let rest his pak sao on ukes elbow tyring to motivate uke to give him energy for the basic hubud lubud.

    I wonder, is that Kakie?
I'm not familiar with goju ryu.
But these flowdrills look very familiar.

A lot of karate techniques were derrived from Wing chun, and other kung fu fighting styles. Mainly the southern kung fu styles influenced the karate.
