As you get older people generally start to lose their vision for closer things (thus the invention of bifocals and need for reading glasses). Astigmatism can be fixed with glasses. I was diagnosed as far-sighted and having astigmatism in my early 30's (after my husband made me to go the eye doctor for the first time in 15+ years). The first day I put on my glasses it was incredible to see how sharp and defined the world was. I hope you made an eye appointment. You'll be doing yourself a huge favor.
