only reason i even posted this video was because i couldn't send Machida the file as it was too big via email, so i used youtube, so everyone else complaining about my filming w cell phone .. its simple dont watch it ✌
RafaelSantiago Support King in the North no not personally, i know his coach & training partners alot better, but seemed like a solid genuine dude not alot of ego at all
Uriah's weakness is his mind. He needs to learn to harness only his useful thoughts. You can see he is not being first in the tempo of sparring, because he is thinking too much. Wasted thoughts filling the space for proper thoughts. Physically he has it all. I hope Uriah can train his mind, because that is his only glaring weakness. Needs to learn to take command of his mind and the action. You see the brief moments when he does, the tempo changes in his favour more so. If he has a moment of success, you see him get more spring in his step, until he starts to think again. Really like both of these guys.
Rob D wow u should be a coach since you literally can read minds . Or just become Batman . Fuck just become the president you literally can read minds and know everything
Awesome video. Lyoto's style is so fun to watch. Those leg sweeps he uses are killer. Uriah is a good striker but he needs to put all of the elements of MMA together when he is in the cage. I haven't been too impressed with him lately but I think he will continue to improve. Machida looks awesome at 185. He will be one of the few to ever hold a belt in two different divisions. He has been fighting bigger guys at 205 when he actually belonged at 185. That is why I consider him pound for poundGOAT
Nice little sparring session between two of my fav fighters but I do not understand why whoever is videoing did not follow the action whenever it goes out of frame. Was this a closed training session and cameras supposed to be turned off? Seems real weird to not follow out of frame action or turn camera on wide angle.
its like urijah just holds back so much of his potential. you can see Hall wants to open up but he just dosent. He would be such a killing machine is he just opens/loosens up more (smh).
ok. i dont know you know Javier Rodriguez We have all seen a small part of what he can do and its devastating. we'll just have to look out in the future to see what happens to him.
Both of you idiots, Jesus Christ.... For starters they're sparring lightly. They're not trying to kill each other. Hall knows better than to open up on a seasoned and naturally faster counter striker such as Machida. And the body protector was so that Hall could work on his techniques on Machidas body. Machida is helping Uriah which is why he's padded down to allow Uriah to strike at him. How can two "fans" reach such a cool and hidden mma video and yet be so uneducated in martial arts, is beyond me.
This is a great thing for Hall, Hall will learn alot training with ELITE strikers. lyoto is out working him and out moving him Hall will learn valubal lessons from this man! Hall is a great talent and im glad hes brought in good guys to train himself
his shin pads are the type that are also connected to instep pads. also es wearing the ankle supporter underneath, so his foot is really covered up, thus giving it the appearance of a shoe.
His style is just so much fun to watch. Boxing stature-wise he reminds me of Roy Jones Jr. Good rhythm, relaxed, and poised to strike in unpredictable, but assuredly devastating ways.
not sure if you know how to take videos with a phone but usually you hold it horizontal, in simpler words sideways. Usually you can see more this way and won't miss half the thing you are recording
Hall is a very talented man, very dangerous and the fact that he doesn't put 100% on his moves while sparring shows how dangerous he can really be. Hall doesn't lack heart, he's a very humble guy who doesn't like hurting people, if he had that killer instinct he'd put everyone in the hospital
Javier Rodriguez uhh..how about yes? Uriah Hall is an animal...if he had the killer instinct of someone like a Vitor Belfort, the dude would be more of an animal than he already is. His K.O of Adam on TUF..really hindered him mentally as a fighter, he's a nice guy and doesn't like hurting people. He lost two SPLIT DECISIONS by literally not trying to hurt his opponents. Since then he's been putting it together by TKO'in Chris Leben, a guy known for taking punishment and won a fight by fighting with a broken toe against Thiago Santos.
@ Chase Lennon, uriah has been under minor organization because he had not proven to be an elite fighter until recently. He has been round, he defeated by tko by Chris weidman. So you can see a lot if just Google him.
Nope that was Soares talking to Urijah's manager about this really good green bottled water and how he just filled it up for him. Dana was not at blockhouse
I was hoping Hall would go train with those Blackhouse guys. They certainly do not lack aggression and/or killer instinct. Maybe they can stir that up in him
Are you assuming Uriah is more athletic than Machida because he's black or ripped? Perhaps both? Because Lyoto is way faster than Uriah and more explosive.
It allows Hall to go full force to the body. You can also see boxing trainers who hold mitts where a larger one so the fighter can get their body work in.
Is there anyone worse to spar with than Uriah hall? I mean I wanna like the guy b/c he has sweet moves, but he has no control. He always injures his sparring partners. He's just too arrogant and doesn't embody the true spirit of Karate-Do. #Dragonfan4life
All that padding and no headgear? I'd have left out the chest protector in favor of headgear. Ribs heal a lot better than the brain. I know it was light sparring but still. Accidents happen.
If people don't know its not that he has no heart. Its that hall doesn't like to get hit at all and he basis a lot of his strikes on faint counter moves alot. There is no reason he needs a killer instict what too be stupid and wild and get k.o.ed on some bullshit cross. I do agree though he is a tiny timid too strike but as well as he should be.. uriah hall stop bein a punk and get that belt.

4:30 perfect timing from lyoto

When your training partner is bigger than you this is how you spar. Or you can't bare their hits.

They both have crazy striking especially their kicks
Two humans with abnormal abilitis and talent beautiful to watch

Javier Rodriguez and also machida is wearing considerable protection whereas hall is not so hall will definitely lose
Both of you idiots, Jesus Christ.... For starters they're sparring lightly. They're not trying to kill each other. Hall knows better than to open up on a seasoned and naturally faster counter striker such as Machida.

Love em both! I wish TKD karate and judo would take over mma aa little bit more. People disrespecting those martial arts and i love them all.
Wait people are disrespecting judo I love that art
Many fighters have tkd and judo background such as Fedor, Khabib, Cro Cop, Henderson, Anderson, Barboza and many more
You guys rock! Keep up the good work!!!
Machida sure fights different than he spars
Well when you're sparring you can be more aggressive. Neither we're trying to knock each other out here. By your logic same could be said of Uriah
pandnh4 yap i know that bro
big gloves make a difference
If you must film in portrait, at least follow the action
Beautiful striking at one of the highest levels
Uriah is my favorite
i like the way they are sparring. not hitting full force. relaxed and just working on techniques. not beating the hell out of one another.
+johndejac73 Yeah, I agree. I think that's the way most professional MMA fighters do. It's not worth getting injured in practice.
This is a great thing for Hall, Hall will learn alot training with ELITE strikers. lyoto is out working him and out moving him Hall will learn valubal lessons from this man!
Hall is a great talent and im glad hes brought in good guys to train himself
Appreciation.
I could take both those guys. At the same time.
well thats cause you're the best bro

It’s crazy how fast Lyoto is !

awesome video - thanks for this!

lol how about no. Gastelum beat that ass and he is not even a natural middleweight
Not really he beats all newbies in his gym

Uriah though he was doing something with that Muay Thai stance at the end lmaoo
Lol yeah, well leave all your fuck ups behind in sparring
thanks :)) !!
I want this fight to happen so fucking bad!
anyone know what kind of elbow pads Lyoto uses in this sparring session??
I have the same Fairtex gloves Machida has in this video. Limited edition thai pride gloves.
honestly I think hall could knock machida out if he was more of a aggressive fighter, he has the speed, power, timing and reach.
I doubt it, Hall has great striking offence, but not so great defence, Machida has both, so he would eventually catch Hall
Nah Uriah is good but against an extremely unorthodox Machida, nah, plus Machida would catch him at one point and rush him to an end.
Seems like a little too big of a statement considering we have seen very little of Uriah with only one impressive performance in the UFC.
yea i can i agree with that, i think lyoto would still win but ur right we havent seen enough of hall yet to make those statements
@ Chase Lennon, uriah has been under minor organization because he had not proven to be an elite fighter until recently. He has been round, he defeated by tko by Chris weidman. So you can see a lot if just Google him.
Why is lyoto wearing shoes under his shin pads ? Never seen that before , does anyone know why ? Thanks
I just wish the camera was turned sideways
Rinzo and Lyoto Machida have absolutely the same voice pitch and sound.
lol you can hear Dana White in the background at the 1 minute mark talking to soares,"next time I come bring bottled water for me "
Nope that was Soares talking to Urijah's manager about this really good green bottled water and how he just filled it up for him.
Dana was not at blockhouse
I was hoping Hall would go train with those Blackhouse guys. They certainly do not lack aggression and/or killer instinct. Maybe they can stir that up in him
Imagine the dragon with uriahs athleticism. Or Uriah with machidas technique. That would be sick lol
+424237a Those two are the exact same thing, lol.
Athleticism and technique are not the same.
Are you assuming Uriah is more athletic than Machida because he's black or ripped? Perhaps both?
Because Lyoto is way faster than Uriah and more explosive.
Lyoto is faster cause of his technique.
dammnnn uriah with the knee to the groin
3:40 💥
True True
I always thought Blackhouse would be the best fit for Uriah to evolve his game. I wonder if he is training with them permanently?
I think he was brought in when the Dragon fought Jon Jones get used to the reach disadvantaged
If he can pick up some technics from Machida and Anderson plus work on his wrestling sky is the limit for Uriah
Why is Lyoto wearing wrestling shoes while sparring?
Thumbs down! Who is the camera man? Don't quit your day job.
these guys don't wear cups? I wouldn't even go to a CKO kickboxing class without wearing a cup.
U can hear ed soares in the background
Uriah is a martial artist, I love his style and how he moves. Needs a bit more aggression and he will dominate
smh
no he will never dominate shut up bitch, weidman already put him to sleep
Aggression is not conductive to his style.
ur an idiot
Why is machida wearing that body protector?
It allows Hall to go full force to the body. You can also see boxing trainers who hold mitts where a larger one so the fighter can get their body work in.
man, best fight ever if this happens. Can both win tho?
For God's sake I'm not able to use my Karate in mma because the cages I fight in are so small. Every fight turns into a Grappling match😫
I think their both good but uriah hall needs to utilise more punches
too bad you couldn't turn your phone to the side to get a wider angle
Nice job not panning the camera over to see the fight AT ALL. Dafuq
Machida is so much looser and relax. Just a overall better striker.
Uriah found the dragon's balls
Machida got hit in the Dragon Balls.
You need to put a spinning back fist in your arsenal of attacks
Is there anyone worse to spar with than Uriah hall? I mean I wanna like the guy b/c he has sweet moves, but he has no control. He always injures his sparring partners. He's just too arrogant and doesn't embody the true spirit of Karate-Do. #Dragonfan4life

Dude the camera damn it i can't see shit.
it wouldve cut off their feet I think. tried it on my samsung galaxy
What a great Kumite
whyyy record like that xD
Lol why does everyone wear a body protector wen the spar Uriah

uhhhh no.... he is def wearing shoes underneath his guards
Why does he get to train with lyoto ? He lost tuf. I wanna train
Well clearly lyoto is the better fighter
Lyoto wrapped up like an amazon package with the head sticking out.. i mean it's not like your brain is important or anything
Why no headgear with all that equipment lol

he needs to be himself not try to be like anderson

I agree we going to see a future champ but he's cocky!!!!:( he looks up Anderson Silva to much!!!!!
