- Shadows Fall were right in the middle of a Metalcore boom, but weren’t getting as much attention as other bands or as they deserve due to there just being so many bands on the market.
36 Crazyfists are from Alaska,.They were at one point co-headlining with Atreyu with support from Chiodos (which when you think about it, to be as big as those bands is rad).
They got just as much attention as the bigger bands in the metal core scene like Killswitch and As I Lay Dying. These days Atreyu are still going strong, performing at decent venues and popping up at the odd festival whilst streaming to 2 million listeners a month. 36 Crazyfists not so much, even though they had just as much potential. #heavymetal #metalcore
Shadows fall is still one of my favorite bands. They should release another album. I'll buy that shit
36CF will always have a special place in my heart (and nostalgia playlists)
To be fair 36 crazy fist has a different sound that’s their own. They kind of did their own thing their music that wasn’t following trends.
Twelve Tribes is another band to mention.
I love all those bands and Iv seen them all live 18 yrs ago.
Chirmia was too ahead of it's time in my opinion if it was in the mid 2000's it would be the biggest band ever
36CF should have been so much bigger
Poison the well were definitely in that category, rock sound and metal hammer loved them, but then they took other business opportunities.
36 Crazyfists actually got a lot better from when they were blowing up, but fell off so hard.
I think it was the loss of Thomas Noonan. It’s not very often that a drummer is the backbone of a band but when he left after Collisions and Castaways they apparently just forgot how to write a good song. From Bitterness the Star to the Tide and it’s Takers are all 4 among my favorite albums of all time. Collisions was really solid then Time and Trauma was just… terrible.
@@nunchucktaylor3488 I actually still liked Time and Trauma. Even Lanterns was pretty good. I hope they aren't actually no more.
@@petestreople7731 I didn't like Time and Trauma and really liked Lanterns. I guess they just needed to adapt their sound after they changed drummers
Affiance recently changed their name to Night Rider. I hope they get bigger, now that they're back with a brand new name.
Yeah I saw that on their Instagram. It’s cool that the individual members have good projects to work on as well
@@davesmusicchannel3590 I personally didn't think they needed to change their name, but I'm still very excited for them. They are some of the kindest people I've met. Hopefully Night Rider can reach heights that Affiance could not.
