Hard to believe this was Black Box Games's first foray into racing games. They started with NASCAR 2001 (PS1) and ended with NFS The Run.

Yeah if you play this on a PS3 or an emulator, the cars will have holes, if you play it on a PS1 or PS2, the cars don’t have holes
This was one of the first video games I ever had, I’m pretty sure I never even tried to win a race. Lol the crashes were just to fun.

first nascar game, i loved this game so much. i remeber spendin 5 hours doing a 100% race on dust bowl, ahh good times :)

Man, EA was kinda lazy when it came to the PS1, NASCAR Thunder 2002, 2003 and 2004 look almost the same as NASCAR 2001 on the PS1
You can't expect them to waste time and resources on a last gen game when the PS2 is out
Hopefully the new game this fall has the announcer's and the crew and spotters! That would make it an awesome game.
