  • I am doing a review today of my Country Clipper XLT residential/commercial lawn mower. This mower has the 52inch deck with joystick steering, Kawasaki engine, and more. This mower was purchased spring of 2023 from G&S Farm Equipment - shoutout to the crew there for taking good care of me!

I have had one for 12 years , country clipper wrangler 41 cut 18hp kohler 18hp cut 1.5 acres . These machines are the best on the market . Heavy fabricated cutting deck , joy stick control . The flip up deck is one of the best feture . Easy blade sharpen or change . very heavy duty machines . Good choice .

Thank you. It is a heavy duty machine which I love and the flip up deck is a game changer. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I have the exact same ZTR mower. Bought it back at the end of August.

Hope you are still liking your XLT. I've got a 2012 CC Jazee Pro. It's the older predecessor to the XLT. They have made a lot of changes to them over the years. Mine also has the Kawasaki and 52" deck. Never had any problem with the motor. Change my oil and sharpen the blades every 50 hours. Plenty of power. I think it could have handled the 60" deck. Finally had to change the deck belt last year at about a 1000 hours. Still on the original deck spindles. Had to put a new electric clutch on it 2 or 3 years ago. May I recommend the "gator" type blades. CC does sell them. They mulch the grass a little better and don't pull quite as hard as normal blades. They don't work as well in wet grass. Better to use in the hotter months. Also grease your front wheel pivots when you change your oil. Wouldn't own anything but a CC. (Unless someone else were to offer the joystick control, maybe).

Hello. Thank for this, it is really good to hear here the longevity of the machine, with regular maintenance of course. Yes I do still have the XLT and I love it. I am aware of the gator blades and my dealer sells them as well, I plan to pick a set up this year (good to hear about the wet grass). Well thanks again for watching and commenting and keep enjoying your machine. Take care.

How easy is it to change a belt?

Honestly I haven’t had to do a belt change yet (luckily). When I do I’ll be sure to film it.

I have had a country clipper for 12 years , I had to change it 2 years ago . Thats after 10 years , and it's so easy to do on these things . The good thing with the 0 turn is that the belt is up higher . Make shore you get genuine belts . After market just won't last .

Thanks for this. It is good to hear it is an easy change but even better to hear it took you 10 years before the first change. And I will definitely stick with genuine belts. Thanks for commenting.
