Nice review of the hurdles of travelling during these times. As divers we have always taken for granted the ability to travel anywhere we want to dive next. Let's hope for better times soon! Stay safe and healthy. Thanks guys!
Thanks guys. As always, appreciate the visit and kind words. Indeed. Let's hope for better times to come. Until then there will be more local diving on the Menu for many of us. Stay safe and keep well!
Thanks TITAN! We did. Now enjoyig quarantine but looking forward to a walk in the forest or mountains after that, just to be able to enjoy the open space again. Stay safe! 💙
@@WetSouls Yeah, we almost did the same in last month but ended up staying on. Just waiting things out for now, everything's still on standby and probably will be for a while longer, but we'll see, there's hope for a little improvement over the coming months - crazy times... take care!
Mate, welcome home! I understand that for someone living on a remote island for more than half a year not really having a touch with the stuff that's going on, you might be overwhelmed with masks and social distancing, but!: Not that bad at all. Strange? Yes. But not that bad. Simple things to follow: Masks where evere you encounter people in close quarters, distance where ever you can have it (1,5m should be good) and no kissing strangers as you might be used to ;) And one tiny remark on the split find comment: My girlfriend ist faster with those without any effort than me with the power of a hulk. Physiks is with her. ;) So don't be so hard on them, they really do a good job if you understand hydrodynamics. And as i comment: How about some diving in a lake while youe are here? Greetings!
Dear Lorenz, thank You for the sound advice. No, it isn't bad at all. Just something new to get used too but actually during our months there we performed rather sound training to see how operating social distancing and the "New-Normal" procedures would be like with guest, so we had a bit of an idea. As per the splitfin topic, each to their own and as said before: "They split the community". ;) Personally I rely one single blade in any situation above those, especially in a current. Yes, hopefully . When and where?
Way to go Brian! Liveaboards have definitely been working most than anyone there. You´ll definitely find opportunities and as said, the situation is rather safe there compared to many other places.
A couple of brews are more than in order but looking forward to walks/run/biking in open nature after all this island time. 😂time for a deco-beer 🍺 now☝🏽
