  • I hope everyone is having a good summer!
I was out in the backyard today trying to deal with my mess of pots everywhere, and decided to share how things are growing.
It's been dry, but I've been doing better this year keeping everything watered.
I've still lost a few trees but I don't think it's been heat related.
Have a look, and let me know how your trees are doing in the comments!

My channel is mostly Bonsai related, but I make no promises.
I like to make videos about air-layering, wiring for bonsai, pruning, growing seeds, and well... anything I find interesting.
I am documenting my bonsai progress on RUclips to share what I am up to with my friends and family, to document the progress of the trees so I can look back at them over the years, and maybe show others that bonsai is something that anyone can get started with since really all you need is a tree (or a seed!) and some patience.
I've always grown trees in pots; ever since I was a little kid growing apple seeds in elementary school. I think bonsai is a great way to keep interesting species at home without having a lot of space. One of my favorite families of trees are maples, but I'm getting into all sorts of other trees as well. Fruit trees and flowering trees are also super interesting to me, and if it has seeds, I want to try and grow it!

You have a lot of great trees there! I definitely know what you mean by just trying to keep them alive! Heat waves are not great for potted plants. Pretty sure I've lost at least 2 for sure!

Yeah that's tough. I came home from work last week and one of my trees was drooping really bad. Lucky for me I caught it in time. I soaked it in a bucket of water and it perked right back up.

Thanks! I don’t have anything as well developed as your trees, but it’s a good start.
