He don't actually need to swap the pieces he can basically swap the spring and the maglev

Try moving the 2 repelling magnets from the maglev to the leap, the reason is that leap does not take magnets seriously

If you're color neutral, it's just a normal solve
It’ll be different because some parts are hared to do for example, it’s difficult to do the cross when everything else is solved

I threw some stardust on my Gan 12 Mag Lev and the Leap and neither seam to have the same catching issue you are showing in either video. I wounder if you have an early version and i received the production version (mine arrived yesterday)

Looking closely at my own 11 and 12, I noticed that there are holes in the feet of the 12's corner stalks but the 11's corner stalk feet don't have any holes. Maybe that's the source of the additional catches in the 12?
Also, I can turn at my fastest on my 12 without problems, but then again my fastest isn't nearly as fast as yours. The last AO5 I did was 25.28, after all.
same, (but my last average was 18.71) no catching problem on the 11m pro or the 12 maglev for me.
i did a few plls with 14 tps and didn't have any catches

@@franklinclinton6313 I average only about 20-21 too, I only know 4 look last layer and my solves are easily over 100 moves per solve, plus I get similar results on every cube I own. But I still buy the latest gan cubes just because I like how the turns feel. It doesn't really matter what you're averaging, they just feel nice to use so it may be worth it lol

Why don’t you make a MoYu super cube using Worms and RS3 M’s. You could change the magnets, pieces, lube the cube and do whatever you want.
Then when you hit 800k subs on this channel, SCS will make 10, 20 or however many you want, and put the J Perm logo on it and you can sign the box.

I just came up with an algorithm for an a perm (dont know which one) and kan someone tell me if its old knews or if its new? The algorithm is R U R’ F’ r U R’ U’r’ F R2 U’ R’. It is really similar to The algorithm i use for jb perm and i just wanted to know if it was good or not.

I suspect I know the cause.
I barely notice the catching on my 12 and have trouble reproducing it like you do. Maybe it's my stock settings and dry nature that it arrived in. I doubt I'd normaly notice this except I've noticed it before much worse on their other cubes.
The worst example of the feeling I've slightly noticed on the Gan 12 maglev was on the Gan i v1. Check it out again, there's horrible catching it's far far worse and I think they're aware of it because it was much better on the v2. Based on reviews sounds like they improved even more on the iCarry.

Why are they there at all, because a smart core is coming for the Gan 12 leap apparently.
Cool idea but I think the charging method needs to change and the holes removed. That being said, this would make the best smart cube yet, I think. I barely notice the catching, I have one alg that catches and it's a different kind of catch and it's rare, it happens on my 356 X too so it's more my turning style.

I did something similiar and switched all parts not just corners (as my gan 11 wasnt uv coated) and i got to admit that maglev seems shitty.
Gan 11 with parts from 12 suddenly became light and so easy to turn like it wouldnt have friction from spring... but it had. Still catches tho :/ While gan 12 with gan 11 parts is very heavy.. I actually set magnets to lowest which i normally wouldnt do.
In short: gan 12 lightness in turning etc comes not from maglev itself or at least not mainly.. but from pieces design
what if you make a cube that combines all 3 cubes? gan 11 12 m pro leap maglev! ( leap system with 11 corners and edges and with springs but uvcoted

“Gan 11.5 is too simple” goes with Gan’s complicated names. Why couldn’t he just be different and make it a simple name? That would make our lives much easier.

My cube is so smooth, when I try to solve my friend's Rubik's cube it feels like the first Rubik's cube from 1980 or sum.

The best settings for me are the settings that come out of the box except for the magnet settings I like it on 1
same for me, maybe because I'm lazy to set it up or i can't read chinese so i get used to the out of the box setup
I honestly think the problem with the gan 12 is the holes in the corner stocks. like its the only difference between the pieces
yes, I've been saying this too. Feels far better than the catches on the smart cubes, they all have the same hole and catch the same way.
It was worst on the Gan i v1, it was very annoying. I very rarely get a full lockup on the v2 and I hear the iCarry is better, but I don't turn as fast as jperm. I don't really lockup on the Gan12 but I can feel that same catchiness, it's subtle and hard for me to reproduce to say for certain but I think it's the same as the smart cubes.
The Gan 12 Leap is meant to have a smart core you can swap in. I don't know if the only diff between the leap and the maglev is the nuts, but they're pretty similar. The smart core I think is only compatible with the leap though, dunno which parts are incompatible on the maglev.
The holes in the maglev are for smart cube charging.

J perm thank you you made my day i got a nice children day as i won three prizes in state level comp in achievers I was ninth and single handed 7 th and i solved 3 cubes pyra 3by 3 and 2 by 2 i solved them under 90 secs so I came in Diamond category and got a certificate thank you and it happened because of your training and happy Children's day i am a 9 year old indian Kunaal Bangia
If you happen to have the ambition/zenith Gan 11's and have a Gan 11 Pro UV coated, because it's easy to swap the corners can get some cool looking cubes (colored corners, UV coated sides), applies to 12 too, and the catching issue is because of the wider torpedos, you can prove it cause if you take a 1x3 row out, you can see the edge to edge pieces catch together in that corner cut situation.

what does everyone think of the Cubers' Home DIY core magnet kit for the wrm 2021, is it something worth doing?
I think it is rly good but not a requirement. makes it more stable as expected. personally I really like stabeness and this works well for me. does add a bit of weight. So get it if you want it and have the money but don't feel like you have to get it.
@@katherineberger2871 how much weight does it add? For the regular wrm 21 I don't think I need it but I'm interested in getting it for the maglev one but it's already a heavier cube so I'm scared of making it too heavy for my tastes

But It got into Another Problem The Corner cutting Has Became TERRIBLE And It Catches so Badly
And Problems Like Slice turn Last Turn Still Exist

I think each cubes feel depends on the operator. I know dozens of happy owners of the maglev who are not slow by any means. I think it comes down to each individuals style of how they execute the algs, size of hands etc….
I think people with more aggressive turning styles would have more trouble with the new gan, my turning style is the opposite so I think it might even have main potential for me.
Hey If you ever see this I am average around 25 - 32 seconds I still use beginner method trying to learn f2l and OLL and tips to get sub 20??
The problem might be that on GAN 12 the honeycomb design is slightly more distinct on light.
I think it's the holes in the corner pieces. I made a post with more detail above, I've noticed much worse catching on the smart cubes, I barely notice it now.

Hi Jperm when i misalligned the cube on the m layer, there was a weird catch somewhat like the gan 12 but it was only 1 time and when i tried the gan 12 catch move it catches. so gan 11, 12 have a slight "problem" of the instrustion lol

In my opinion I think this is happening because the center and edge piece design are uneven so they end up doing the first snap which is normal but that second snap is where the center and edge problem comes in this is just my opinion I don't know if this is right.

My Gan 12 Doesnt seem to have this problem. Maybe its not on all, which is concerning, which means low consistency in production.
Edit: I bought mine directly from gan, maybe that has something to do with that.

I havent goten my 12 M Maglev yet because they're still on pre-order, but I was wondering about something. If I have an 11 M that is matte, could I pop out the caps so that I could use the internals of the 11 M but still have the UV coating of the 12 M?
