Thank you for all the info. New to gardening and trying to find weeping conifers for the south is so much easier with you. And I love how you show a pic of the tree at maturity to see how it will look. You’re definitely speeding my typing by me trying to take notes on everything you tell us 😂😂
JUST MAKE SURE TO TAKE A TRUCK CAUSE HE HAS EVERYTHING you WANT & can IMAGINE! My Poor little Honda Accord didn’t stand a chance! 😅 I wanted one of everything! And still do! Luckily I’m only an hour away so I’ll be back a few times over! 😉👍🏽
I'm in Oregon and we can grow most any conifer--lucky us! A nearby office building has a twenty foot tall Picea glauca pendula that is to die for. Love all your beauties.
BEST video and selection of conifers and specimen trees......I've been searching hi and low for a video explaining specimen trees and a nursery that carries different varieties.....visiting your nursery soon
Hi, what a brilliant informative video. We are from the UK and would love to have someone like you and your nursery over here. We will probably drop in when we have our next US holiday just to meet you and admire your nursery.
I love conifers and was surprised that you can grow so many different varieties in your climate. I live in north Idaho and they do very well here. Thank you for showcasing so many of these beautiful trees.
Jason, I love watching your videos, and I'm a bit jealous of your unlimited energy ...or is it caffeine overload? Either way, I never get tired of your videos, and I really appreciate that you include the names and growing zones on the screen and give us other valuable growing information for each of the plants. Have a great week! ~Margie🤗💐🐝🦋
I would be at your nursery all of the time if I were closer. Nurseries around me seem to be scared to bring these in. I think customers fear planting them too. Drainage and sun requirement are key.I would also mention to viewers how each handle significant icing events being in a battle zone climate. Also, a lot of cryptomeria do well in our 7b.
Question, I bought a weeping white spruce and I wonder how far shld I plant it from my pool and patio? I have the perfect spot for it but I’m worried it cld grown into these structures.
I have no ground to plant any of these BUT I LOVE learning about any and all evergreens! I want to know more about those PUMPKINS SHAPED items in the background.
The videos are really great Packed with lots of good information! Very useful lots of very good tips to help you with your garden!! And I am glad that you include Advice for people that are not in your zone. You try to touch a lot of different Points of information that anyone anywhere can use. You definitely give lots of enthusiasm and inspiration for people to try and get out and guard it! Gardening is for a lot of different people it doesn't matter who you are or what age you are. Keep up the good work Justin! I am looking forward to more videos of all different kinds!
Wow! Lots of great trees & shrubs! I’m sure it’s better to see them in person & you’re correct about once you get them in the ground so they can look their best. BTW love that you are using the botanical names and teaching folks what they mean. Great job!
I live in zone 8 columbus georgia can I grow the vanderwolf pine and fat Albert blue spruce in my area. I have two fat Albert's and 4 vanderwolf pines I bought at local homedepot and lowes.
I'm starting to create a privacy wall consisting of evergreens between me and my neighbor's property. You have no idea how useful this video is to me with my project. I've have already put in a few specimens that look amazing, but I'm still looking for more considering my privacy wall is more than 200ft. Thank you ❤
I like how you take out the plant to talk about it instead of other host point out one from 20 trees that look similar which better explanation the more confusing I am. One thing I recommend is the Boxwood Dee Runk it has a very slim and dense crown which looks like a small xmas tree.
Hello Jason, all your videos look excellent. It is informative as well as fun, of course you can perform in some of the funny movies 😀. I don't see any video about Murray Cypress. Can you please do one? . Also like to watch a video about different types of Hinoki Cypress. Thanks and Best Wishes.
EXCELLENT video!!! I love videos on conifers! ❤️. I sure wish you were closer. I live in Kentucky and no one around here has much to offer. I always learn a lot from your videos. Question…. Do conifers grow in the winter at all? Or just sit there and wait til spring?
Oh my goodness, spoiled for choice... I love my trees I've grown some conifers from seed, possibly Fraser Fir, Ponderosa Pine and maybe Lawson Cypress, then Red Oak, Pin Oak, fruit trees, liquidambars, hakeas & all kinds sf eucalypts - so many - but as we get older and I'm really disabled now, and the garden is so hard for my hubby to manage & I can do so little - BUT, how can leave my trees? Looks like you have a fabulous collection & Knowledge there - thanks for sharing.
I love your videos! I’m in Michigan (Zone 6A) and want pretty much everything you show. Have you made a video on the best ways to amend clay soil? If not, can you? I like the way you explain things, especially for beginners like me. I tried adding Pine Soil Conditioner to my Clay raised bed this year, but lost 2 Dwarf Hinoki Cypress and 1 Mop Cypress in less than a month … I think from root rot, so I’m hesitant to buy nice things again. 😄✌️
Hey Jason. Love your videos. I’m a plant person 😊and one of your viewers in Edmonton AB, Canada. Can you do one or two videos on zone 2/3 evergreens please 😀
Hi!❤ I love your videos and garden tours! Wow is all i can say! Question....i live near orlando in central florida. Will these plants still work in my area? Im thinking so but not 100% sure!
When you say “can be trained, five foot tall, eight foot tall, ten foot tall, what you do is keep them staked…” do you have to keep them staked forever or will the trunk harden over time?
What's your experience with baby blue spruce in the south (8b)? I had one die out on me at the end of last summer. It was still in the pot, in part sun and I was babying it. Would fat albert be more suitable?
Great video. I live in the Nashville area. Have lost about 15 Cupressina's in the last few years. I am down to about 5 an 3 are stressing bad. A large local nursery who sells them has stopped carrying because they just can't seem to tolerate the heat in Nashville.
New to Nashville area(north Franklin and would love to know what nurseries around here can speak to what conifers will work here and how to care for them as I would love to add more to our yard!
One of the best conifer videos I've seen. My zone 7b is a lot different than your 7b. Oklahoma gets so much wind combined with drought/flood/drought/flood. But I think with watering many conifers can get through the heat and droughts. It's the bugs! The growing season for bugs and diseases is so much longer in bad places like this. I'm curious if you have the same fungus issues with blue spruces that so many have, and...boring beetles. Do they kill your trees? They do here.
What do you think between the Forever Goldy or the Thuja Jantar? You sold me on the conifers they look awesome. I plan to plant 2 in my front yard in 4-6 hr sun areas close to the house
Will a weeping Alaskan cedar grow in a container? I don't expect it to get huge but would it be okay to put in a large container? I had a blue spruce in this container for six years and it was happy until a deer destroyed it. I love the weeping trees. Thank you I'm in Kentucky.
I really like when you edit in a photo of a mature tree... That helps us decide what we want to put in our yard
I am a conifer lover, plant person, nice video.
Thank you, brother, thank you.
Thank you. Hard to find a video that shows the mature size of conifers! I love that you are always so thorough and energetic! Fayetteville, NC

Beautiful evergreens! Thank you for your great descriptions.

I’m loving your channel! Great information and gorgeous plants👌🏽
Excellent information! Thank you for showing pictures of the full-grown tree! It helps so much!
BEST video and selection of conifers and specimen trees......I've been searching hi and low for a video explaining specimen trees and a nursery that carries different varieties.....visiting your nursery soon
I love the conifer video. It’s confusing to know which ones can survive in the southern humidity. Thank you.
I gotta take a trip out there and get a few things !
Um please ❤ come see us ❤
@@RealALSK Do you have any Chief Joseph pines ?
@@ThePoehladian no not at the moment! We have 2 conifer trucks coming in next week! Lots of pines coming I do know that!

Thanks for that tip with the soil conditioner. I’m planting Conifers, thanks to you. I will definitely start adding the conditioner.
This was the best video on this topic that I have seen yet. Thank you and I love your channel!

Great job.
Thank you for sharing these, Justin! I can't wait to add conifers in my garden. I'm in zone 8b.
Love the info on all your trees. It has been a big help to me on deciding on what to get. Thank you.
Love them!!!!
Love all of them!
Absolutely loved this video with all the fine specimens you have. I just purchased and planted a Feelin Sunny Deodar Cedar. Hope it does well!
Great videos! Wish your place was closer. Any suggestions for retailers in Atlanta metro for evergreens?

Loved this video! Made some notes of my favorites so I can ask my local garden center if they have some available. Thanks! 😊

Have you ever seen a Burkes red varigated pine tree? Found one last week. The needles are yellow tipped in dark green.

The species Umbrella Pines in the PNW grow a good 20-30ft. The nursery I managed had a few in the ground that were closer to that 30ft.
I like how you take out the plant to talk about it instead of other host point out one from 20 trees that look similar which better explanation the more confusing I am. One thing I recommend is the Boxwood Dee Runk it has a very slim and dense crown which looks like a small xmas tree.

reall ynice , 🤗
Thank you nice video. I’m interested on conifers to replace my junipers low growth but ok to be wide
Would love if you give estimates of prices in your area.
How does the Fat Albert blue spruce need to be from concrete so as to not crack it? Also do y'all ever get any bigger ones in?
Can i grow Alaskan Weeping Cedar in zone 9? Thank you Martha, love the videos and the way you present.

Hi!❤
I love your videos and garden tours! Wow is all i can say!
Question....i live near orlando in central florida. Will these plants still work in my area? Im thinking so but not 100% sure!
Watch your channel plus Hortube for things like this. In Missouri, we have clay (probably not as bad), heat, and humidity plus Zone 6 cold.
Weeping Alaskan Juniper💕💕💕💕.
Can you leave the " Fat Albert" Blue Spruce in the pot o container?
As long as it’s a big enough pot yes ❤️
When you say “can be trained, five foot tall, eight foot tall, ten foot tall, what you do is keep them staked…” do you have to keep them staked forever or will the trunk harden over time?
What would you suggest for a fast growing conifer or evergreen for privacy in growing zone 8A?
Carolina Sapphire. Ours are outgrowing giant arborvitea by at least 2 ft a yr
Very, very informative. Some beautiful specimens I didn't know existed. Would you suggest any of these for a windbreak?
Hi Tess, in my humble experience, Spruce trees are a great wind break. I have some Norway Spruce that really do the job!
@@Jane-West They are beautiful trees. I love the cones they produce. Thanks for the suggestion ❤
What do you suggest to plant around a lamp post? I’m thinking a few arborvitae that can be rounded like a Danica.
What's your experience with baby blue spruce in the south (8b)? I had one die out on me at the end of last summer. It was still in the pot, in part sun and I was babying it. Would fat albert be more suitable?

How tall do the Mugho Pine get? Thanks. Great video.
Top 3 best evergreen for zone 8a?
I'm zone 8 - central Mississippi. I would like something to plant as a screeen.
What do you think between the Forever Goldy or the Thuja Jantar? You sold me on the conifers they look awesome. I plan to plant 2 in my front yard in 4-6 hr sun areas close to the house
I’d like to order some wheeling cedar trees but i couldnt navigate the website very well. What can i do
We’re pickup only!
Can you please ship the plant to Chicago area?
What’s the best soil conditioner? We’ve got a lot of clay here in middle Tennessee.
At the risk of sounding a little simplistic, I am in Tennessee also and I get my soil conditioner from Lowe's. It always does the job!
Just make sure it’s acidic or has pine bark ❤️ and you’ll be golden also plant it high
Do any of your vanderwolf pines or Colorado blue spruce suffer from cytospora canker.
Will a weeping Alaskan cedar grow in a container? I don't expect it to get huge but would it be okay to put in a large container? I had a blue spruce in this container for six years and it was happy until a deer destroyed it. I love the weeping trees. Thank you I'm in Kentucky.
I am looking for an evergreen thats 4 feet tall and 2 feet wide and zone 4 cold tolerant...do u recommend any
