@@dynatwenty i think hes just doing it really nasaly what i mean he places the sound where the "boxing bag" is and also tries to send it through his nose but he blocks it idk how to exolain it but i get similar highs with this
@@szprucel nah, watch some sit down interviews with him, and the throat scope. He's far from nasal sounding. His biggest vocal idol is Randy Blythe also.
a little late but i think he does tunnel throat fry for the highs, at least that’s what i’ve heard other people say. his lows are just false chords with specific tongue placements, rolled up or down depending on the sound
But could you do a song like sleepwalking or can you feel my heart with this technique? It’s not tonal screaming and I just cannot get that down whatsoever
Love this, thanks. This is how I've always approached this type of scream however even when I know it's placed properly I still seem to struggle with vocal fatigue. Feels like it might be moving too much air but I have good support so I'm not sure where it's going wrong.
I stubbled on this kind of style of screaming a few months ago. I combined the voice crack and false chord screams. Sounds like a panicky shout with a very open throat. Then took that and applied some tunnel throat stuff. Sounds like a goblin. 😂 Love these shorts. Great content 👍
I’d Love To Hear His Vocals From “Doomed”And “Seen It All Before”. Those Tracks Are So Damn Beautiful!!! “Sempiternal” And “That’s The Spirit” Two Incredible Albums!!!
Do Wayne Static tutorial please, both low (Behemoth, Destroyer) and high (pretty much any other song) he had a pretty damn unique kind of screams, always with easily identified pitch
@@ExtremeVocalInstitute I was just thinking how funny it would be if each example of a singer was just that breath sound that you do first. I’m an idiot ha
Hi! So this series isn’t about what the artist is necessarily doing themselves (though sometimes it is) but a healthy/sustainable way for most people to recreate the same tone and feel! What most people know as “screamo” is based on the fry scream which is the same technique demonstrated in this video just presented slightly differently. Keep in mind context plays a huge role in how you perceive the sound!
@@ExtremeVocalInstitute Thanks for your answer man ! I haven't learn screamo by going through fry (I don't know how to fry scream (plus I don't like the way it sounds globally), maybe that's why), + I didn't know the purpose of your serie wasn't to use the same techniques 😊
How do you do his Deathcore vocals? I really like Count your blessings. (EDIT) I tried doing the Mitch Lucker tutorial you did but neither sounds like Mitch or Oli. It seems the only way to sound close to Oli is doing Kvlt scream aka Black Metal scream. But if anyone can show me how to sound like Oli and/or Mitch, that'd be great.

Yup, can't rly wrap my head around his filthy high notes. It sounds like a death pipe.

Dude I love how calm your talking voice is and then you have these crazy ass harsh vocals
When i read "scream like Oli" i think he was about to ruin his vocal chrods like him, but actually this dude is very good
TTS came out 8 years ago, move on lmao
Well....Oli is fine now so 🤷♀️
Screaming/growling really fucks your vocals. Most artists who do this run into issues at some point
@DefiantMist and then there is Sam Carter who's just a God.
@@DefiantMistthey do it in the wrong way if they run into issues then lol
@@DefiantMistEven nowadays BMTH cancels a show or two almost every tour because Oli’s voice is fried.

Yeah. Not all his screams are the same. Very talented guy me Oli 😁
The proper Oli needs to do a remake of the old songs with the screams he does now
Exactly! I can do pig squeal / low growl / scream but the way oli sings sleepwalking is different
@@yomi.airsoft watch Chris Liepe talking about that, how to sing/scream like Oli Sykes
