These mad old ads bring back so many childhood memories: I used to sing the “Mean Mr. Clean” jingle (with different lyrics) about my strict 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Green - “…she hates kids!” That really broke ‘em up in the lunchroom! For the rest of the school year I was Mrs. Green’s mortal enemy. Wherever you are, I’m sorry Mrs. Green.
Boldman should have had his own comic-book series after his TV catoon commercial debut aa well as his own animated series this side of Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, who already had their own Saturday morning aninated adventures back then! Let's see what happens in 2024 should Boldman return with a Saturday morning TV cartoon show and his own comic-book series by then!
The blonde haired woman in the Bold commercial at 21:32 looks like the late Maggie Peterson (Charlene Darling from The Andy Griffith Show), but I'm not sure if it's her. Then you have Phil Silvers for Pream non-dairy coffee creamer, with Robert Strauss (Animal from Stalag 17) as the cop. House Peters Jr. plays the live action Mr. Clean.
Hate to say the Pringles people are wrong, but I've never seen a can of Pringles chips that didn't have some broken chips in it when it was opened. Some breaking is inevitable during the shipping process.
Most of these ads were NOT seen in 1966. Pringles was introduced in 1970. The classic "Mr. Clean" ad at 16:12 was originally shown in 1958.....................
it's nice to go back in time and see how commercials and life was back in those days. I was born in 84 but I do have an appreciation of these commercials. it's like a time-machine watching these. can I ask how were you able to get this old footage?
That animated one with the baby throwing his food on the floor and the girl wiping her hands on the wall-looked promising-but the video ran out before it finished. Shucks--.
Sad to say, but black people were horribly underrepresented in TV commercials and on TV shows throughout most of the '60s. I grew up in a predominately black neighborhood back then and always wondered why, if most of my classmates weren't white, then why was almost everyone on TV white? The answer was simple: the people who produced the shows and commercials were all Caucasian. The '70s brought the slow change and things got better. Not great, you understand, just better.

That you for this terrific collection. This brings back many happy and warm memories. ☮️💟
I’m actually old enough to remember the corrugated paper lining of the Pringles can.
Me too! Lol
How bout Granny Goose potato chips?
That's the reason they didn't break. They sure break now.
That Mr. Clean commercial was super cute, the one with the song
The alka seltzer commercials was covered by the T Bones aka Hamilton,Joe Frank and Reynolds.

Glad we still have Pringle's Potato Chips & so many varieties.
My mom used Bandaid and she loved yanking them off our knees and arms and legs.
Saccharine was killing people.
I'm pretty sure the voice-over in the Curad ad was Ken Nordine (of "Word Jazz" fame).
Norman Rose was the announcer.
26:25 the voice of Danny Dark for Pringles. This is one of the earliest Danny Dark voice-overs I've come across on youtube.
No more BOLD detergent or BIZ.
Was the butter nut coffee guy @ 9:45 in a hurricaine? Sheesh!

The one thing these commercials have in common is that they were created by Thomas Scott Cadden.......

Pringles was out in 1966? I thought they didn't come out until the early 70's.....?

Me too, I remember them in the mid 70's.
Also note during the third Pringles commercial that it was "available only in limited areas".

That sucaryl commercial looks like a showing of their stomachs on TV .
That reminds me of the Alka-Seltzer commercial no matter what shape your stomach is in.
What's the last commercial
Was that Norman Fell of Three's Company at the poker table in the Pringles commercial?
That animated one with the baby throwing his food on the floor and the girl wiping her hands on the wall-looked promising-but the video ran out before it finished. Shucks--.
No more Butter-nut coffee.
What a cool share.
13:00- Gerald Mohr, announcer.
Pringles , no giant air pocket , and more chips.
20:27- Allen Swift, announcer.
Is that Elaine Joyce in the Mr. Clean commercial?
Maybe in 16mm
The color commercials are in serious need of color restoration! “Vinegar syndrome”, anyone?
Here's a few more classic 1960s tv commercials: ruclips.net/video/NnCjhJvW9zo/видео.html

The 1960's wrote rhymes that the master of Whirlpool sing.
Someone has a thing for Bold detergent
Where are the black characters....we are consumers too?
