This young man gives the most concentrated reviews I have ever seen. It's almost information overload, but the manufacture must love him. No bit of technology or added feature misses his attention. He is a walking talking encyclopedia of of every car he reviews. If you want a truly IN DEPTH review of a car he's your man. If I ever get to N. Carolina I'd love to look him up, hope he lets me buy him dinner, just to have some time chatting cars with him. It would be my pleasure. What a great guy obviously doing what he what he loves most. I've noticed though on so many of these newer cars, this one as an example, the speedos read 140 top speed but are governed down to the low 100's in top end. I bet that's not the case wit cop cars LOL. Thanks for your fantastic review.
No the police truck is governed at 120 cause at thst speed with a none aerodynamic truk could flip the center of gravity is much to high and forget about turning they would just flip over or for tht matter any truck is a death trap i know cause it happened to me at just 80 miles a hour my Durango slid on its side iam lucky to wrighting u this have a good day .Bill

Dodge/Chrysler always nails it when it comes to styling. This car is a beast I'd take it over a Range Rover sport.

When it comes to SUVs, FCA has the most appeal in my opinion! RWD, V-8, great interior design and one of the best infotainment systems on the market!
+Gordaton I wasn't aware of FCA dropping the Durango! That'll be a huge loss! I do remember hearing about FCA dropping its V8 soon, and taking its place will be a new V6; the strict fuel economy regulations are to blame. Whatever they do with their nex SUV I just hope they'll keep it RWD.

Dang Kyle, now I know why I tried to get my parents to buy a Durango with a Hemi. That sound is amazing. They settled for a V6 model with the upgraded appearance package which looks like an RT but doesn't perform like one. Awesome SUV though, always gets a lot of looks especially with the Redline 2 pearl coat paint.
Wow it looks beautiful. Dodge has nailed it when it comes to their styling for their vehicles and commercials.
Yea... i see a lot of people complaining about the interiors. I dont have a problem with it but im just glad they got rid of that ugly 4 spoke steering wheel in the previous model years.

I have a 2013 RAM currently and it's been stelar for me. I was in the queue for a 2016 but they stopped production before it was built so now I'm in the queue for a 2017 which is cool because it's been slightly updated with new wheels, and some other options. Rumor has it, it comes with CarPlay and Android Auto as well now. We'll see! I should get it by October. It's al long story, but it has to do with it being a corporate lease.
WOW, That's a definite step up! Corolla to a Durango? WOW! The Citadel is a NICE truck and I don't think you can go wrong with that, but with the 2017's coming out, the 2016 better be priced accordingly.

I love these things.. especially with this look that they have had for the last couple years. I'd buy one if I could afford it and needed it.
I have to say this is an excellent review. I have recently bought a 2015 Durango R/T RWD and couldn't be happier. It has a ton of power and the ride is not too bad (though the road could be better). I have noticed a couple small differences so far as well as a feature or two that were not mentioned. You didn't mention the "vent" position of the sunroof, of which I love. It spends most of the time open during the summer and it keeps it a bit cooler inside. Also, I have the optional CD player in my center console, which takes up about half the space. Another thing is the seats, I have the captains chairs in the second row and don't have power recline on my front passenger seat. With that being said, I think it's a great vehicle and a lot of fun to drive. I think the only thing I'd have included were power fold mirrors, but that's about it. Thanks for the great review, Kyle!! Can't wait to see what's next.

Is it worth buying one at 106k miles?
I have a 2013 RT Blacktop. I was cross shopping with the Audi Q7, MBZ GL, and Range Rover Sport. For the money it just can't be beat. Voice activated infotainment system, Napa leather seats, adaptive cruise control, Xenon headlights, etc... For under $50K. To get those options in the Benz, Audi, and range would've cost me $80k+, I wish I could have waited for the 2015 model with the new 8 speed, the 6 speed in the 2011-2013 models shifts painfully slow.

Definitely agree that this stock exhaust is way louder than the Charger R/T stock exhaust. I have a 2013 R/T and my uncle just got a 2015 Durango R/T and I couldn't believe how much louder and nicer the tone was from the Durango. I fixed that by getting some flowmasters though, lol
cant go wrong with flowmasters ! if i end up with one of these newer durango's i'll do the same.

Recently rented a V6 Limited. Was pleasantly surprised, and we averaged over 20mpg too. Only problem: no CD player/optical drive.
You damn near sold me on that one. Lotta bang for the buck, especially if you need to tow something.
At 1:11 there's a dent on the rear door near the edge by the handle.
is there a safety system for the shifting cuz what if someone moves it is mean it's waaay easier to move than usual one... I don't wanna be suddenly on reverse when I'm driving on 120
Just a clarification, the prior Durango used a 6 speed automatic, like the JGC V8, the 65RFE.
What camera do you use?
I got a 2015 Black Durango R/T almost the same, I black out the window, black factory wheels, Moon roof,tow package , under 33k miles

coffeeblak86 Incorrect, I don't get paid by anyone aside from money earned through youtube adsense revenue. I assume you haven't seen my older videos, but I always shout out whoever provides me a filming opportunity. Autonation offered an opportunity to film this and other recent videos. Same thing with my press vehicles, just because I shout out Chevrolet for providing an SS doesn't mean Chevrolet paid me. It's no different from other big name publications who receive cars, only I got my start working alongside dealerships years ago, again without getting paid, because I can generate more content variety that way, more often. Most journalists will even disclose who provided the vehicle featured in the article. It's something I do out of respect for others who help give me the chance to film vehicles I may not have the chance to where I live. If it wasn't for me actively working through multiple avenues to develop content that's free to you and everyone else, I wouldn't be able to do what I do, I think a simple shout out/plug to a business/manufacturer is more than fair for what I'm able to provide for this channel.

I like the styling of the 2011-2022 Dodge Durango, I also kinda like the fist generation too.
Good video, I have a 2014 R/T, also in black. It's one of the very few 7 seater SUVs that really ticks all the boxes. There are 2 things that need improvement. First there's not enough feedback from the steering and second. a little too much body roll on cornering and braking. Given that it is the performance model in the range, these do really need to be looked at.
How does this compare with the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8??
Not that great but the SRT durango does compete very well with it

Fun fact, the WK2 generation Jeep Grand Cherokee shares a similar platform with the W166 Mercedes ML/GLE.
If this suv had a lift glass on the rear liftgate and Jeeps AWD system it would add so much more utility. If I was the engineer on this vehicle I'd stretch it a few more inches and widen it a couple inches. And add the aforementioned.

American muscle, practicality, stylish, and towing capability, what could be better? This body style of Durango is one of my dram cars.
Time for Dodge to start making SRT versions of the Durango and their pickups again. Just like its time for Cadillac to start making a V version for every single one of their current models.

I don't want to be a dick or anything, but don't you think that most American cars suffer from seriously bland and tacky interiors? Maybe not so much with the seats etc, but the dashboard? For example, have a look at the interior in the 2015 Lexus IS. It's beautiful.
o0julek0o completely agree. I personally hate all black interior unless it's a supercar or something. But if the wanna make luxurious cars at least change the color of the interior into white or a more suitable color that suits the luxury style.

o0julek0o Yes and no, 10 years ago, I would agree all day long, but especially in the last 5 years, so many new designs have come out that are more well thought out, stylish and modern. Style is often subjective, but for me, the Charger has a more attractive and premium feeling interior layout than the Durango, but add some of that red leather and it has my vote! I like to think of things relative to what the vehicles were made to do. Price is often a big consideration, but you gotta give credit when it's due, American brands have really been taking it up a notch, makes me proud :)
***** I can definitely agree on the improvement aspect, though making something bad better, doesn't necessarily great. I also have to agree on the 'Style is often subjective' part very much. I like things relatively minimalistic with little to none brights and shines. Just clean cut lines. (love the rhyme that came out :D)

My friend was looking at a used VW Golf 7 140 bhp about 290.000 kr 'Danish money' which is about equal to the Durango Citidel in the description. 😔 so expensive in Denmark.

Are you filming two separate Durango RT's? I noticed one has the AWD tailgate emblem and has the available Tech Package radar module in the lower front fascia. The other seems to be missing the AWD low-range selector dial and radar module in the front fascia along with the Adaptive Cruise Control buttons on the lower right half of the steering wheel. The top trim Citadel also comes standard with twin chrome exhaust tips which gives 295 hp in the V6 engine. The Blacktop/Rallye option package does the same for the SXT and Limited models.
