Composizione gradevole e accademica. Qualche ispirazione dai grandi compositori.

Many thanks for all the wonderful music that has enriched my life, and probably the lives of others also. "Radio me la sudas" uploaded this about two years ago [from a different recording, but the movement names are the same] and noted that it is in the key of B major.
    Enjoy your break!

In part because the composer was the grandfather of the more notable progeny whose music is better known.

It's not the same Puccini (Giacomo) who composed operas, but his grandfather.

It seems that the world hasn't broken away yet from the eminent influences of Mozart and Haydn, despite that during this time, it's already the Beethoven era with CM von Weber preceding it.

It was and will always be impossible to break away so soon from truly eminent people who passed away not long ago. And in this case, Beethoven hadn't even created his most iconic works yet by 1800.

I would suggest that the influence of Mozart and even Bach can be heard throughout the oeuvre of LVB, especially his earlier output.

Grandfather or great-grandfather? I'm incredulous that only two generations passed within the timespan of one century.

Grandfather! Domenico would have been 76 when Giacomo was born. My own grandfather would have been 94, that beats 76 by far.
