The title of this one made me remember I've fantasized a spinoff series. The premise is as follows: Luke John Dillon was named after the last two of the four Gospels because his twin, born minutes before, got the first two. Luke became a gunfighter with a checkered career, operating all over the West but shunning Kansas to avoid embarrassing his brother who was a lawman there. Matthew Mark never talked about his brother.
I don't get it. The perpetrator's bragging about the crime should have been evidence enough to arrest him. Of course then there'd still be the problem of getting the victim to testify, but why didn't Matt take that first step? It might have prevented the tragic ending. The scriptwriter tried too hard to make it dark.
Better than any television show. Marian Clark was a superb writer. R.I.P.
Originally broadcast on January 10, 1960.
This is better than some TV shows.
This is better than MOST TV shows.
