Dimash is always phenomenal! I have been in the audience hearing this song & it is just perfection! His lower register has developed beautifully since 2017, yet he doesn't lose his higher register. We all know that Dimash continually strives to improve his voice, rehearsing for hours every day & he still sees his teachers whenever he can. He looks after his instrument really well. He has fan groups in both USA & Canada & has had videos on the big screen in Times Square. Dimash is not signed to a record label, though many big companies have approached him, as he will not have his artistic rights taken from him, which would happen with a recording contract. He says he sings what his heart tells him to &, in my opinion, he's doing really well without a recording contract. He has a worldwide fan base & sells out arenas all over the world regularly. We have all seen & heard some horror stories of artists being treated really badly by record companies, so I'm with him on staying independent!
Thank you for your reaction 😊🙏💞

true true, as time goes on I hope the power of gate keepers (well they are anyway) keep going down. Cuz there are many whom that I introduced Dimash to is like WTF what have I been listening to, they can't go back to their regular music :D but there are also many who just like "meh he has nice vocals", and goes back to w/e miserable of a mess (in general, there are good mainstream music of course) music they consume.

Thank you. Dimash has sung SOS many many many times since his late teens. He has constantly been working on it and there are many incredible performances by him of SOS. He is to turn 30 yrs. old on May 24, 2024, so he has been working on this one song for probably 13 yrs. He has a huge catalog now filled with incredible songs and performances in multiple languages and genres. His followers has grown and grown from all over the world. He knows what he is doing and is very successful with his art. He will never bother with being commercial, his goals are to sing a song to the best of his ability every time he sings it. He is always in service to the song, to the music. As to his popularity in the west, so what? He is very popular and his popularity is constantly growing. The west has dropped in it's quality of music because it uses too much marketing and too much auto tune and basically lazy music. Dimash is raising the quality of music around the world and he is single handedly waking people up to music and it's possibilities. Every thing that he does is quality and well thought out and filled with his immense vocal abilities and training.

I love the way he moves as well as his facial expressions and this version is so smooth. Thanks for your reaction. I can advise to watch Omir with his brother. It is so incredibly beautiful and delicate. Dimash does not want to sign a contract with a record company to protect his creativity, which is extremely wise. I hope you continue to watch Dimash's more recent videos, like, Ikanaide, Your Love, Adagio, Stranger, and Omir accompanied by his little brother, Mansur. You were spot on about why Dimash is not well known in the States. Dimash did not want to sign with any record companies here because he did not want to be controlled by any of them...plus the integrity aspect, or the lack thereof with the industry here. So, he returns to Kazakhstan and creates Dimashali Creative Center, his first performance, of course, being SOS. You have so much to catch up on. I hope you are back for awhile.

that makes no sense. considering this performance is indeed better. are you saying he puts in more effort as a guest vs a competitor? that goes against all logic since there are more on the line in a competition and generally more preparation and effort is applied. He was extremely nervous during the Singer. It was obvious with his head shaking and I think his voice issues were likely a part of it as well. Dimash being Dimash it overall didn’t affect his singing. However, he was tighter especially the first few performances. He also mispronounced Vis and Ris. I watched earlier versions of the song he did not. So I think probably nerves again and he looked at the prompt for lyrics and added the s in as it would be phonetically pronounced. I think the major difference is in Slavic Bazaar he was relaxed. Vocally relaxation means easier and a better performance.. his also continuing to practice and have vocal training means he improves much more rapidly than most singers. Which initially amazed me as he was so strong vocally during the singer. Now though his techniques just keep improving, his lower range is becoming even more full bodied. I just laugh at myself now when I still become surprised.

    HI
I'm so happy that you came back to react to Dimash, I missed you because your point of view is always different from others.
Although my favorite version of SOS is the one from the 2021 digital show, I love this version of the Slavic Bazar because it is with this that I discovered him and it transfixed me.
Dimash has continued to improve over the years and has tried all genres.
If you want, you have a lot to discover.
Lately he also writes his own songs and he's very good at that too. In the Western world he struggles to be successful (here in Italy he is practically unknown to the general public) because the music that is in fashion is really low level and he doesn't want to sign with record companies that force him to do what they want. And it's good.
It doesn't matter, we who know him love him.
Furthermore, it takes a certain sensitivity to appreciate him which not everyone has.
    Good continuation.

  • @debbiemorgan859
    @debbiemorgan859 2 месяца назад +8

Brilliantly said. I agree with every word. I believe there is definitely some gatekeeping going on. Especially because Dimash won't sign his career away to a record label. They want you to make money for the machine that is the music industry before you start making money for yourself.
However, he's just released a song that is obviously geared to the west and it's doing very well all by itself, it's actually getting radio play in countries where he hasn't been on radio before.
I don't think he's reached the top of that bell curve either, he's trying new techniques, new sounds but still maintaining that vocal quality and his composition skills have been analysed by a song writing teacher who has also written songs for established artists and he's constantly in awe of what Dimash writes for himself even when to the casual ear we think it's a fairly simple song.
He's coming under the radar of some very influential people in the industry which have led him to opportunities like his recent stint as a judge in the classical music competition The Virtuosos which is televised across 4 countries in Europe.

The music video is a precious work of art that he made to thank his fans. This song is a pearl of the French songbook: It is a French-Canadian cyberpunk-rock opera called “Starmania”, written in 1976 by Michel Berger (France) and with lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Canada) and immortalized in the voices of Daniel Balavoine, Diane Dufresne and Gregory Lemarchal. The theme of the song is depression: In the 2021 version, Dimash faithfully and brilliantly presents a sentimental and melancholy interpretation! As the singing decisions follow the original structure of the song, which serves to show the psychological instability of the afflicted character: From the chest voice to the head voice and then to falsetto, the author sought to show a broad need to overcome a moment of despair and the pretense of accepting to reach a higher perspective! Dimash, currently at his concerts, dedicates this song to his friends and acquaintances who have departed this world!
