Generate Solid Mesh Structure in STAAD with Custom User Tool || Convert Plate mesh to 3D Solid mesh

- It is very hard to model a 8 sided solid element in STAAD, if the node sequence and direction is not proper, then there will be some modelling error which will produce incorrect analysis results. Also there is no option available in STAAD to generate a solid mesh. Only regular sized solid mesh can be generated manually. Using solid elements, it might take days just to create the model geometry properly.
In this video, I have demonstrated a user tool using which we can easily generate a solid mesh in STAAD within few seconds. The inputs are easy and flexible, also the generated solid mesh is flawless.
Also I have discussed the basic of solid modelling, node selection order and selection of elements for any project.

Sir it is the best staad chanel ti fulfil my thirst
Thanks for and excellent presentation. As others have asked, result interpretation of solid elements is an important next step, which you ought to cover. Also, the parametric modeller seems to be very powerful, but isn't well documented. I hope you could make a video about it as well.
Yes Abhijeet, I will cover the result interpretation of plate and solid within next few weeks. And I will try to make detail video on parametric modeler. This mesher is very advanced and I always recommend to use this module.
Thank you so much sir , for interesting tutorial. please also add result interpretation
Solid result interpretation, right? I will try to create a video on this topic soon.
@@surojit_ghosh Yes sir, Most waited course is Openstaad course from basic
Excellent tutorial!
Can we do the same for well foundation? If then anyway to do this in circular pattern
Thank you for the GREAT excel. Is it possible to improve it by allowing different thickness layers?
This is not very tough, so yes I can implement this. Can you explain why you are looking for layers with different thicknesses? I just want to understand in which scenario different thicknesses is required.
Thanks for such an informative video. Please make a tutorial about Pier Design in Staad Pro.
By default, it is not possible to design (calculate required reinforcement) a solid element in STAAD. But using the solid stress values, we can design it easily. I will cover this later.
@@surojit_ghosh Thanking you in anticipation!

Awesome!!!
Kindly elaborate on parametric modeling.
As you have used *.xlsm file to generate solid elements, but how to create solid elements without using *.xlms file.
I will create a detail video on parametric model and other mesh generator soon.
For solid element generation, you can generate solid elements manually, I have also discussed the correct modeling techniques in this video. Using coordinate values or existing nodes, you can generate 4 to 8 sided solid manually.
But as the process is a bit complicated, that's why I have used a custom macro which can help in modelling.
Awesome !!! Thank you for making useful videos
Kindly prepare a powerhouse machine foundation for vertical machines using parametric techniques and this macro.
