I loved how during the Inez and Tom interview after the grip and press Tom said the coed run was fun because you could genuinely wish the other competitor good luck and hope they did well. Andrea getting over 300 was great to see.
Inez is absolutely smoking it, super impressive. Was hoping Andrea could get a couple more points on stones, but hopefully she can get back tmrw and claw a few back
absolutely loved day 1...loads of the athletes are so exciting to watch because nothing is a guarantee, even Lucy on the deadlift was pushed. Inez, Hannah and Angelica are such great characters and really fun to watch...and hearing Andrea chatting and joking as she waited to start her events was brilliant. Can't wait for day 2, go ladies!
Definitely! If you look back at the results on the American Oak from the recent Arnold show the weight selection just doesn’t make sense Although seeing Inez smash it the way she did was SO impressive
Amazing deadlifting from Lucy and Andrea, and Inez’ log and stones were fantastic! Really impressive from all of the women. Do you think on the women’s side it’s tricky to get the weights ‘correct’ because there is so much variation in the athlete’s size/strengths? It would be like having all men’s weight classes competing against each other in one comp. If that were the case, you’d also expect the lightest men to struggle because the weights would need to be appropriate for the very biggest/strongest.
I think it’s just tricky to get the weights correct because it’s newer on this kind of stage - I think most of the other weights were put out well - I think the yoke/power stairs medley is a bit light for day 2 but otherwise would say it’s all pretty bang on- just that log that was a little off I don’t think it’s necessarily a size thing as some of the bigger athletes also zeroed the log
@ Yeah that is true, I did overlook that on the log where pretty much everyone struggled, and you’re right that the other events so far did seem broadly correct, with a good range of finishes.

Agree! Some good events for Andrea tomorrow too- exciting day ahead!
Agreed!
The buzzer was silly, except maybe for the 5 way power stairs. (The time keeping may have been simplified with the buzzer on the stairs.)

Absolutely- this line up with these events is so hard to call!!
It has been fun watching it, and Inez has been killer to watch
She’s been amazing hasn’t she!
Thanks for this
My pleasure!
The Log is a pretty specific mivement, especially with the way the handles are, it's almost like and over head bemch press
Thanks Chloe! You are amazing!😊
Great comp
Hell yeah!
I agree about the log. Perhaps the weight could have been dropped to 105kg ish and another rep added on. Think that would have split the field more.
