totally raging. @2:28 the rear partner has jumped backwards to smash, lcw style. his energy cannot easily come forward so the front partner must remain to cover the net. when in front you have to know these things without looking. instead of covering the net he tries to cover the cross return, and you see what happened. mostly their rotation is very good, but it demonstrates the price we pay for even very small lapses in awareness. fantastic filming. we are right there
How can you know that your partner was off balance without looking??? You can't... Your partner would have to communicate it somehow, with predetermined words, like "help". Otherwise you are leaving it to chance. Can you yourself psychically know when your partner is off balance? People have tried it with me, because they are slow and assume I can't recover either. But they usually end up in my way.
@@1Flyingfist your premise is you cant know what's happening behind you, so you have no choice but to base your actions on not-knowing, and somehow this is not leaving it up to chance you have all kinds of information in what you see and hear. the question is whether you do the work to process the information or tell yourself you dont know because you're not psychic let's say you make a tight net shot that generates a high lift. you would know the speed and entire trajectory of that lift immediately because you hear what kind of contact the racket makes with the shuttle and you see it leave the racket. when your partner hits the shuttle, you would know from the timing if he hit it earlier or later in its trajectory. you'd know from the sound how focused and efficient the hit was. you know where your partner is starting from and where he has to end up. you know how fast or slow he is. these are just some of the things you know. your job is to process all the information as you receive it and move with it in real time. like listening. you hear what someone is saying as they say it and you can move with that on the court or off, it's always a choice to be flowing with the real or to cut yourself off from reality. or you could say, you're either in the 道 or you're not
