This comment is so dumb lmao. Of course you can use some plants to treat small wounds. But just because you can do this doesn’t mean actual medicine from BiG pHaRmA isn’t essential for a lot of injuries. Good luck rubbing a plant on your skin for anthrax poisoning or appendicitis or something.
Same goes for wild lettuce and, I'm sure, many other beneficial vegetation. It grows everywhere and is apparently very useful, but being that it's a common "weed," no money in it. What a damn shame.
I’m gonna have to record it now. 😂. 🫢 I always give credit where credit’s due and “linkage” ,no worries. Actually, I’m too upset with Big P to care what they try to do. They can never ever retrieve the feathers flown. They think they’ve silenced Kevin Trudeau, but no, millions and millions of us continue to pass-it-on. Feathers flown long ago.
I always saw these flowers growing in my backyard as a kid, but I never knew what they were or anything about them. After watching your short video, I feel a connection to this plant. Next time I see some, I will try making a tisane!
This is interesting! Learning to identify, prepare and dose the plants listed on ones natural medicine packages would be an awesome survival skill. Willow bark contains salicylic acid if I recall correctly.
Is there any limit to how many you can eat? In an emergency situation could you eat a meals worth of them? Very interesting and they are ALL over our property
"Frequent in meadows, forest edges, roadsides and gardens Lamium purpureum is a common weed in the western and eastern United States, Canada, Ireland, and the British Isles" wiki
For years I never knew about this. It just grew around the house. A girlfriend told me about it. I'll put it in salads in the spring. If you add clever, mullen, mint... They'll make a nice tasting tea.
I think someone said it does grow in EU, but I'm not positive on that. I've been watching a lot of plant ID and usage videos lol. I'm wondering too if it's possible to seed or transplant. It grows wild and in great numbers in my back yard, under and around a great pine tree.
Sometimes I would go to my backyard and harvest some to put in a soup, I usually make a cream of deadnettle soup, it’s really nice having these around :D
Is there any way to clean plants like these without ruining their properties, or would the boiling process kill any possible things from the outdoors without ruining them? I'm mostly thinking of animal urine or pesticides to be honest, but I'm not very knowledgeable with the science behind cooking/sterilization/wildlife etc.
I'll never look at this the same way again. Grew everywhere in my area growing up and in my yard now. Don't you have to be careful when drinking the tea or eating the leaves and flowers due to the coagulation properties if you have heart issues?
Friends mom took at leaf from one of the weeds growing on the concrete, said you can smash it up and use it for mosquito bites Don't remember if it worked or not 🤔
It's not regulated by big pharma, be careful or they will take your video down because they can't make money off you.
Don’t worry just by logging in I’m sure big pharma makes money
😂

What is a tisane and how do you make it? Is it like a tincture?
And it's related to mint!
Which makes it smelling minty make sense
I was wondering that with the square stems and fuzzy leaves! Thanks for the confirmation!
Love you videos! ❤Learn something new every day for my survivalist tool bag. 👍

My backyard is full of these!! 😮
Do the vitamins and benefits pass on to the tea?
I just dried a bunch of this and its so beautiful still💚
Square stem ,mint family ,correct! I have a licorice mint plant and lemon mint too
I have always liked the taste of the flowers
I always plucked out the purple petals and they would have a drop of nectar on the end like honeysuckles!
Я тоже в детстве так делал
Lol I did that as a kid it is so fun
Everybody should find this in the nursery and plant it all over the place so people can use it for free,
it's also that one plant from Shrek iirc
The little flowers have a really sweet nectar
Those are everywhere in West Virginia
Thank you. Looking forward to more of this type of info.
Is there any limit to how many you can eat? In an emergency situation could you eat a meals worth of them? Very interesting and they are ALL over our property
those are good to eat
Did not know this ty
Binds to the blood vessels? So by ingesting it, eventually and especially through the gut , would it cause clotting in the bloodstream?
I used to pick the flowers off and get the honey out of it when I was younger
What a wonderful family is the mint family!

It's growing like mad in my yard around the flower patch.

What do you think would happen if you combined the purple dead nettle with the ghost pipe? 💜🌿👻⚗️

This plant is also known to raise your body temperature to promote fever breaking. ❤
This stuff grew everywhere when I was a kid and I messed with it a lot! Maybe that's why all the scrapes I got outside didn't bother me very much.

Does it have a pungent smell? Because it looks like a plant in my yard that has a smell that makes me hungry that I can't identify.
I used to drink the nectar from the flowers as a kid.
How do you drink it
@@rathosalphasuck it out of the flower
protect him he’s giving it too valuable of information
It is hard to find anything on this. He is correct. It doesn't live for very long in most areas. It kind of looks like self heal .
Thank you for this I have a few patches near where I live and this is going to save me quite a bit.
If you pull the flowers and suck the stem it's sweet like honey
The white tips of the flowers are sweet pick some off and suck on them
Do you live in georgia? I bet you do.
These started taking over my back yard now my entire back yard is this plant ankle not sure if its a good idea but its pretty and the bees like it
Great video! What stove are you boiling on?
America: fuck that here’s some drugs
That prple you can slurp it and it tasted like neckar
Me and a friend found out sucking on the flowers u get a little burst of sweet
Used to do it all the time when we saw them blooming
And you can kill it with Crossbow herbicide when it takes hold in your beautiful dad lawn ....
So you’re an alchemist then? 🧪
Okay so next time i get her hiking look for a three leafed plant and rub it all over.
Looks like Oregano 🌿 alot

That's a badass stove. What is it
die Blüte wenn man sie aussaugt schmeckt süss nach Honig
Is there wifi in the forest?
Does it taste like mint? I think it's out back. I've been making tea with it each day. Mine has a mild mint flavor. I use it with Ginkgo biloba.
Tastes like fresh cut grass to me. Henbit was much better tasting, sorta flowery and light.
I love your channel
Taste like green dirt
This in not nettle
I don’t like it I love it
G
I remember growing up that those suckers would usually pop up near stuff like clovers and in really good soil in massive quantities

Adrienne Prickett load up!
We call it Henbit.
Henbit is a different plant, although it's often confused for Purple Dead Nettle. They have a totally different taste as well.
Great info!
Red clover
Absolutely..
And wondering who named it a dead nettle..hmm..sounds like a misdirection from gov/pharma..😅
🤭🤣😄😁🥰
to differentiate from stinging nettle. the nettles are dead.
I heard that it's because it isn't a nettle, but technically a mint. But what the previous commentor mentioned makes sense.
Doubt it
just discovered this in my yard. very pretty and prolific. it turns pale yellow in summer.
Friends mom took at leaf from one of the weeds growing on the concrete, said you can smash it up and use it for mosquito bites
Don't remember if it worked or not 🤔
Where is this found?
I’ve seen them tons I think and I live in Georgia
Usually outside
Grassy open places, most people's yards are loaded with them in my area of PA
In the yard 👉
All over my yard in Tennessee
