HSCT for MS vlog #9 - 'Stomach Issues'

Treatment vlog, as I underwent HSCT for MS on the NHS, at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.
Strong use of euphemisms here - this episode talks about 'stomach issues' and stomach cramps. Also start daily Clexane injections (to prevent clotting, as I'd been spending all day in bed)
4th (last) day of chemo, feeling pretty sicky, & a bit miserable. Also started the slightly horrible mouthwashes.

Oh man.... do one about hot flashes after HSCT. I'm 2 months out and the hot flashes are theeeee worst.

I never really got hot flushes. HSCT is funny, isn't it? Same treatment, but everyone reacts a little differently.
However, after I was discharged, I got an infection and my temperature kept spiking. So a lot of rigors. Very, very, VERY sweaty!

OMG I have ssp MS but I can not do what you are doing. EEk

I'm quite far removed from it now (18 months!). The whole thing was kind of like a weird alternative life experience. You could absolutely do it!!!

I do. Diagnosed in 2009.

No idea. I hope so. You only really find out how well it worked over the next couple of decades...
I used to relapse roughly every 18 months-2years. So well see at the end of 2022!
