Speaking of being hit by vehicles, the one in front of my house suffered such a fate. The city/town fixed it… except it now doesn’t sit at 90 degrees from the grade/ground and sits about 1-2 feet above grade/ground. Is this normal? I don’t want to see picky but the (shoddy?) installation is driving me bananas.
I'm just going to tell you that was a bad installation video You need to go more in-depth about what type of hydrant gravel thrust blocks there's a lot more that comes into just your video you missed a lot of key points

at what point do you use trench protection when working in a trench?
No thrust block, and is that a draining hydrant. If so should have showed the rock, poly and sand.
