Love how you share all of your knowledge with other woodturners Stewart! You are very good at explaining the why. I've always found if I know WHY I'm doing something, the job is much easier cuz it makes sense. Thanks for sharing your video with me again. Stay safe, Vickie
I have seen several demos on using this tool. This is one of the goodest! Seriously the way you explain it then demo it is really spot on. A bit different than thr usual, but welcome. It must be as a part of you teaching communication skills. I look forward to all of your demos. ave a great holiday!
I have the same roughing gouge that I bought as a set with 2 spindle gouges about 30 years ago in Miami, Fl for around $20.00. Twenty years later I bought a lathe. Cart before the horse.
Hi Stewart, Fantastic video on the SRG. Lots of great and useful information. Hope you and your family have a fantastic New Year. Take care. Cheers, Huw
Excellent Stewart, very good basic instruction for a beginner. One point I feel you missed was looking at the shape emerging by looking at the top of the turning and not where you are cutting. So will you be going from teaching English to teaching woodturning.
Haha...do you know, I was thinking about that as I was turning it....but maybe there'll be a SRG Part 2! Who knows....never say never.....got to plan my escape from the day job first......
Enjoyed this as usual. Thanks, john
Cheers, John! Glad you liked it.
Very good Stewart, that was good to see and easier to listen to than Debbie chirping in my ear 😂. How about one on the skew
Haha...thanks, Kevin - glad it was useful! I'm a renowned skew expert....or should that be 'skew-up' expert...will see what I can do!
Nice introduction to a series perhaps Stewart?😁 Have a great Christmas and New Year!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎😎
Thanks, you too - Merry Christmas! It may become a series....who knows???
That would be awesome!
