Thanks for watching. I hope to post at least one more this season.... After all these years we are still here! Millions of views and hopefully millions more!
I’m a freshman (class of 2028) and just today I learned how to play jig 2 on tenors (I’m a snare player) and I’m so happy and cannot wait to maybe actually play it for a game I’d have to talk to my section leader tho and ask if I can try it for our last game or something
That is correct. Oak Mountain has been playing it since the early 2000’s and I first posted it on RUclips in 2011. It has been incredible the way it has grown. We still try to post one or two every year. Thanks for watching!
No worries! The band just got new uniforms this season. Those uniforms in the video were the original ones when the school opened in 1999. They lasted 25 years! We will be posting a new Jig 2 video soon.
Well I’m not a student, just the volunteer videographer. But I was the one who first posted it online. Never thought it would become what it has. It’s been an amazing experience. Kudos to all the students who have played it throughout the years!
The Snares Never seemed to enjoyed it They would just keep a straight face like its boring. They Just know the Jig2 snareline. Except for the Others Band Members They All seemed to enjoy it❤
The “1-2-3 Lets go” has to be the best addition to jig 2 I’ve ever heard
I have to agree. Nice touch! Thanks for watching!
Our drum line has 1 snare player and 1 tenor drum player, and he’s graduating this year, however they play this really well!
Thanks for watching and best wishes!
The cheers at Mary had a little lamb are amazing
Thanks for watching. Be sure to check out other awesome band videos on my channel. Have a great day.
The sweet sound of TRADITION!
Thanks for watching!
@@bwfitz Absolutely! 💚
You did a good job teaching and maintains a drum line of this size
Maintaining
I am not an instructor just the videographer!! All credit to the directors and percussion instructors! Thanks for watching!
That solo is so difficult, I'm still learning how to do that. amazing that they did that with ease.
You can do it!
It’s actually not as difficult as it looks, I can play it with no rims, you probably can too
@@ryderalley4853the difficult part is getting the chops to do it. If your hands aren’t strong, your single stroke roll is kinda gonna disintegrate
Just as amazing as the original jig 2
Thanks for watching. I hope to post at least one more this season.... After all these years we are still here! Millions of views and hopefully millions more!
Bro the second guy is a beast
Jig 2 All the way! Congrats bro on accomplishing one of the most played candences

Felicitaciones desde España 🇪🇸🥁
¡Muchas gracias! ¡Saludos desde Alabama, Estados Unidos!
Una pregunta, mientras tocan los artistas se está jugando a fútbol americano? El espectáculo está en la grada y no en el césped.
Saludos.

What tenor mallets are those?
Maybe one of the students can answer this? Thanks for watching!
Teach me your ways
Is Oak Mountain the school that made Jig 2?
Yes! Our Band Director wrote it many years ago. Thanks for watching!
@@bwfitz that must be an honor being the student of the band director who made jig 2:D

I honestly don’t know how ppl find this impressive. I’m sure I’m SURE this drumline is really talented. But jig 2 is so fucking overplayed

The Snares Never seemed to enjoyed it They would just keep a straight face like its boring. They Just know the Jig2 snareline. Except for the Others Band Members They All seemed to enjoy it❤
