I love when reaction videos are done by people who usually are into the opposite genre of the music especially Hard and Metal Rock fans!! After watching Martina's music video, a shot of bourbon sounds good indeed.
Martina has always had one of the biggest voices in Country Music, she's amazing and she sounds even better live. She also through her entire career used her platform to bring light to tough subjects like this one, child abuse, domestic violence, etc. She was never afraid to tackle the tough subjects, instead she made it almost the purpose of her career.

I grew up listening to country with my Dad while when my friends were all listening to boy bands. So I have a love for the classic country artists (Cash & Alabama) and 80s/90s country artists (George Straight, Reba, & Garth). Johnny Cash’s cover of Hurt is great. He puts a whole new spin on the song. I believe the original singer of the song ended up loving Cash’s version a lot. Also, Folsom Prison Blues and Ring of Fire are other classics of his.
Martina’s Love’s The Only House is a FANTASTIC (& positive) song for what the world is walking through these days and showcases her amazing voice as well!! In My Daughter’s Eyes, Broken Wing, and Wild Angels all good. Speaking of pipes- Carrie Underwood w Vince Gill live How Great Thou Art… one word: Shook. Loving your reactions! Thanks!!!

Carrie Underwood has a deep song called "Temporary Home." There's a fun group called Home Free that you may wish to check out. They have county roots but sing other genres also. They do a lot of covers but have a number of originals also. If you're familiar with country, you're likely to be familiar with Johnny Cash. They cover his Ring of Fire and also Folsom Prison Blues. They do a great cover of Blake Sheldon's Hillbilly Bone (approved of by Mr. Shelton) and Sold by John Michael Montgomery. Their original "Champaign taste on a Beer Budget" will likely bring a chuckle or two as would their Country-Fried Pop Medley. They also have a loyal and active group of followers called Home Fries who watch for new reactors to discover the group.
Thanks Joanna, we have their cover of "Man of Constant Sorrow on the list", I've added the original you mentioned, and we have Temporary Home on the list. Keep those suggestions coming.
Martina is amazing and a really nice person as well. I haven't seen a lot of Trisha Yearwood reactions and that needs to be rectified. Walkaway Joe is amazing, She's In Love With The Boy also or Down On My Knees Or oh wait, The Song Remembers when or Every Girl In This Town. None of them will make you want to cry so that'll be a change of pace.
I saw that after I commented, so I went back to watch it and noticed I already liked it!😂😂. But the studio version I think is better than that particular LIVE version…..thanks! You guys are really fun to watch! And you even got me drinking Bourbon!🤣🤣🤣👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Especially if you know much about his past) Subscribing in hopes I get to see one of these some day! LOVE the reactions.
It really makes you wonder how many times she herself had to rehearse this song without breaking down at all to make it in all essence a perfectly touching video. If there's anyone in the world who's already seen this video & isn't phased by it at all, there's something deadly wrong with your brain enough to get it checked out with a psych evaluation.

There is a rumor that has been going around for years about this song that is NOT TRUE. Rumor has it that this song was a true story about Martina's sister (Gina Leikes) beating her daughter to death, AGAIN THAT IS NOT TRUE. This song is the true story about Angela Carter a 7 year old girl that was beaten to death by her Grandmother Nana Stacy. The story was changed from the Grandmother to the Mother for this song. The song was written by Stephanie Bentley and Rob Crosby and was released in Nov, 2002.
I fell for that, but then I couldn't find any credible source to back it up. It goes like wildfire in the reaction comments. I know I even wrote it a couple of times before I checked. I tried to backtrack my own comment and was thoroughly told off. 😳 That makes me feel bad for Martina's poor sister who is innocently standing by saying, "Hey, wait a minute!" Thanks for the background info!
False origin stories for songs are as old as the songs themselves. The whole Phil Collins myth around "In the Air Tonight" was circulating my middle school when I was a kid. And it's still going around.
Having alcohol available during a reaction to this song is probably the smartest thing I have ever seen. A sister song to this is Alyssa Lies by Jason Michael Carroll Please don’t wait to report. If you suspect something, say something. Rather be wrong then them gone.
Added Just a Dream, and we've got Temporary Home on the list, good number of requests for that one so far. Keep the comments coming, and thanks for watching!
Am I the only one that thinks they're going to need that Bourbon when the song starts? Then again, if they're from the mid-west, there's no way they haven't heard this song before.
I'm from WV, and moved to the midwest, and I'd never heard this song. Prior to starting this channel, I avoided country music like the plague. Just wasn't my scene, wasn't my sound. Turns out, I was missing a lot of good stuff. - Keith
This song was actually about Martina McBrides niece who passed away from the hands of her sister the grave stone was actually her niece grave stone she said it was one of her hardest songs to sing The song “Concrete Angel” by Martina McBride came out in 2002, and is was still voted the #1 Saddest Country Song in 2014, according to Rolling Stone. ... McBride's niece was a victim of child abuse, so this song is a dedication to her. Her niece was abused by her mother, McBride's sister, after she divorced her husband. May you please react to Martina McBride God's will
Idk if y'all realized that the little boy (her neighbor friend in the window) ended up being her guardian angel...and he was there with all the other angel children at the end...the kids who all died from abuse.
Just a suggestion but maybe put the abuse hotline number in the video description. I have seen other reactors do that for abuse, addiction, and suicide hotlines.

If you do Home Free's cover of Ring of Fire, try to pick either "featuring Avi Kaplan" or their version on The Sing Off. But anything by them is good, and their harmonies are killer. I'm binging on all your reactions that I've missed.

You guys might like sone Chris Stapleton "Tennessee Whiskey" Randy Travis "Deeper than the Hollar" and "Three Wooden Crosses", Mary Chapin Carpenter "10,000 miles" Josh Turner "Would you go with Me" and Loretta Lyn's "Delta Dawn". Sorry for the ramblin.
Not trying to brag .. just trying to get a point across...lol. I'm also a singer with the exact range and full powered voice as Martina (totally not exaggerating).. so I, of all people, should (& do) have a good grasp on which Martina songs not just sound more difficult than others, but ARE more difficult. For example, a lot of people don't realize that her song Independence Day is a lot harder to sing than A Broken Wing. So.... If you really want to hear Martina hit some notes, even higher than the ones you've already heard, you need to listen to her song Where Would You Be. The "official video" is actually a live performance of her. Listen towards the end where she even goes up and octave and makes it even higher. You will be unequivocally impressed compared to the other songs you've heard by her. She is the reason I decided to sing. Another one that almost no one can copy is How Far. Crazy notes in the chorus.

@@BourbonCountryReacts I found your Steel Drivers reaction - awesome! Did you know that Chris just released a cover to Metallica's, "Nothing Else Matters," because OMG ... I see you are also Metallica fans and if you haven't heard it yet, it would make an awesome reaction! Very Outlaw Country sound.
If you reeeeeeeaaalllyyy want to hear her vocal range, react to her son, "Where Wod You Be?". Love you guys!
We'll add that to our list.
Backing up the suggestion for Broken Wing. Pure power, and try timing how long she holds the last note.
We track the number of requests for a given song. We'll add one.
@@BourbonCountryReacts I'd gladly donate a bottle to the cause, but I've been clinging to sobriety by my fingernails for 16 years, and I think the bottle would never reach you!! lol
Please check out Kenny Chesney, There Goes My Life.
We'll add that to our list.
Carrie Underwood has a deep song called "Temporary Home."
There's a fun group called Home Free that you may wish to check out.
Faith Hill "Breathe" is an awesome female song. (It's not sad) Faith is married to Tim McGraw
Faith is a great recommendation!!
Agreed, Faith is a great choice.
We'll add that to our list. I've heard Faith's name, but I don't think I've ever heard any of her songs. - Keith
The Song Remembers When is a great one.
Don't forget I Don't Paint Myself Into Corners (Anymore)
Faith Hill "Cry" "Stronger" or "When the lights go down" she has that soulful country voice
We'll add those to our list.
You guys need to check out Martina McBride's "A Broken Wing" official video, that song really showcases her voice the most in my opinion!!!!
This one?

Martina is an absolute powerhouse! Check out Broken Wing! That’ll get ya with her voice!😁😁😁
ruclips.net/video/31ohKNNuyrw/видео.html
I saw that after I commented, so I went back to watch it and noticed I already liked it!😂😂. But the studio version I think is better than that particular LIVE version…..thanks! You guys are really fun to watch! And you even got me drinking Bourbon!🤣🤣🤣👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
@@shellymarquez9320 We're a bad influence that way. - Keith
You need to listen to her live. She sounds amazing.
We've had a lot of folks tell us that. I suspect that when we come back to Miranda, we'll catch something live.
If you've not reacted to Johnny Cash you should. He is country royalty. 3 options.
Ring of Fire (classic, older)
A Boy Named Sue (older but fun!)
Hurt (Nine Inch Nails cover. Powerful. Especially if you know much about his past)
Subscribing in hopes I get to see one of these some day! LOVE the reactions.
We could react to those, but they wouldn't be first time reactions. We've heard all of them.
@@BourbonCountryReacts I'm actually super pleased to hear that. No reaction necessary in that case. Look forward to more though!
He was an angel
It really makes you wonder how many times she herself had to rehearse this song without breaking down at all to make it in all essence a perfectly touching video. If there's anyone in the world who's already seen this video & isn't phased by it at all, there's something deadly wrong with your brain enough to get it checked out with a psych evaluation.
Newbie viewer on a binge rn
"Oh y'all are gonna need the bourbon for this one"
*the moment you both realized the subject*
*f*** the teacher*
*the moment you both simultaneously took a sip*
And we haven't even finished the song yet
Have you done Just a Dream from Carrie Underwood? If not you should. Love her voice too.
Meier is from Grand Rapids MI
Also check out her song called "Gods Will". Not sure if ya have already? I havent come across it yet
We haven't. But we'll add it to our list.
Martina McBride song Wild Angels
I suffered an head injury in 2001, and almost died. Her voice reminds me of how the angles that I heard sounded.
💙
Martina McBride "Whatever You Say"
Having alcohol available during a reaction to this song is probably the smartest thing I have ever seen.
A sister song to this is Alyssa Lies
by Jason Michael Carroll
Please don’t wait to report. If you suspect something, say something. Rather be wrong then them gone.
Around Christmas Martina does an a capella version of O Holy Night that is like an angel .
I put that one on the list -Dustin
You love Martina's vocals and don't mind heavy emotional songs. Just a Dream and Temporary Home, by Carrie Underwood.
Added Just a Dream, and we've got Temporary Home on the list, good number of requests for that one so far. Keep the comments coming, and thanks for watching!
@@BourbonCountryReacts Of course, you guys are entertaining and react to some great and meaningful songs.
You need to do a live version of one of her songs to really see her power.
We've had several folks tell us that. We have a note to do something live when we return to her.
- Keith
Y'all should check out the Martina McBride and Pat Benatar crossroads.
yeah Keith... Broken Wing REALLY shows off her pipes... check it out
It's on our list. We'll add another vote for it.
Have you heard her sing. “I’m gonna love you through it”. Or “Anyway”? I think you’d like those songs.
Added votes for those -D
She has an a capella version of Oh Holy Night that will blow your mind
That one is on our list, might have to get around to it during Christmas time -Dustin
Now try Independence day and Broken wing...Even more power house vocals and more tear jerkers
They're on our list. We'll add your votes.
We reacted tp Independence Day too, let us know what you think:

THE LITTLE BOY WAS HER ANGEL
This song was actually about Martina McBrides niece who passed away from the hands of her sister the grave stone was actually her niece grave stone she said it was one of her hardest songs to sing
The song “Concrete Angel” by Martina McBride came out in 2002, and is was still voted the #1 Saddest Country Song in 2014, according to Rolling Stone. ... McBride's niece was a victim of child abuse, so this song is a dedication to her. Her niece was abused by her mother, McBride's sister, after she divorced her husband. May you please react to Martina McBride God's will
We've been told that story several times, but there might be some info that says it's an urban legend. We'll add God's will to our list.
Idk if y'all realized that the little boy (her neighbor friend in the window) ended up being her guardian angel...and he was there with all the other angel children at the end...the kids who all died from abuse.
We figured it out, yeah.
Martina is the truth. Cancer Awareness in: I’m Gonna Love Ya Through It.
We'll add that to our list.
Just a suggestion but maybe put the abuse hotline number in the video description. I have seen other reactors do that for abuse, addiction, and suicide hotlines.
You know what? That's a helluva good idea. I'll go find a national phone number and add it to the description. Thank you.
Country seems to be hard on you guys. Try A lighter Shade of Pale, live in Denmark.

Song suggestion is Toby Keith Red Solo Cup for a fun song. Also, Allison Krause When You Say Nothing At All for a beautiful voice
We'll add those to our list. Is the AK tune country or bluegrass?
We have Red Solo cup on the list, and I've added Allison's song, keep the suggestions coming.
If you do Home Free's cover of Ring of Fire, try to pick either "featuring Avi Kaplan" or their version on The Sing Off. But anything by them is good, and their harmonies are killer. I'm binging on all your reactions that I've missed.
We reacted to Home Free once, and it really was not our cup-o-tea. The "home fries" response to that was largely pretty gross. We won't be reacting to anything from them again. - Keith
You guys might like sone Chris Stapleton "Tennessee Whiskey" Randy Travis "Deeper than the Hollar" and "Three Wooden Crosses", Mary Chapin Carpenter "10,000 miles"
Josh Turner "Would you go with Me" and Loretta Lyn's "Delta Dawn".
Sorry for the ramblin.
Stay Tuned for the Tennessee Whisky suggestions. Thanks for the other suggestions, I've added them to the list.
Hello World by Lady Antebellum
God's Will is also one of her best.
SERIOUSLY, y'all need to her duets with Pat Benatar! Gonna keep spamming this request lol
I've added another vote for that one and noted it really shows off her pipes, thanks for the intel. -Dustin
