We install some UHMW skid plates from Factory UTV onto the Polaris RZR Turbo S and then take it offroad to test the durability! Definitely not disappointed! May need to get some for the Jeep!
Hope you all enjoy the video!

Are you guys gonna pass thru AZ GOING TO Utah?
I don't even own jeep wrangler or a side-by-side, but I still like watching your videos.
Hi Kevin and BRITTANY gee Kevin you should have blasted most the dirt of with washer or garden hose 1 to keep dirt out of you're eye's 2 to make sure the all the metal brackets fit flat and tite wouldn't of hurt to use some lock tite on the screws nuts and bolts 3 keep some rust down four wheel ramps would have gave you more room to work it's what I do because I can't afford a lift nore could i justify the money and thank you for the caption as like I told you both I'm deaf well good night ⛺ Kevin and Brittany oh and one last thing if you're dog has real bad breath have you gave it alpo never give a dog alpo it gives them breath that can weld plate steal LOL you don't want rover nocking you off you're feet 😨 every time he greets 😵 you with breath like that 😂😂😂😆 C😎😎L
You jumped on Jelly !!!! 😱
Grumpy ol' Boot Noooooo, she’s way to quick for that. Haha
Hey here's a tip! Use the box it comes in to lay on when under it. Cardboard is a good cushion, insulator and oil catch. Plus it's reusable.
...And if a rival breakdance crew rolls up you have a battle surface!!!
And it's usually cleaner than the garage floor
How awesome is that in your guys relationship your both on the same page with hobbies etc and not just one is supporting the others tastes. Those skids are on point!!!!
She is right about the Safety Glasses. Doing almost exactly what you were doing and one of the self tappers shot a small razer sharp piece of metal in the eye. Scratched the cornea and took 6 months to heal.
Wear glasses when drilling metal like that. A chip in the eye isn't fun. Guess how I know!
Yea, whatever don't come out with the magnet get to be cut out. It's not fun.
Yup, Not fun watching a drill bit going into your eye. All the while them telling you to keep your eye open and don't move....
Awesome install video. Kevin you definitely need safety eye wear. And the brick looked super sketchy, glad it didn’t fall on your head. As always you two love the products you put out. Keep it up!
Sir, you need safety glasses. You only get two eyes in a lifetime. Have fun with the rzr!
UHMW is a neat material. I never really thought of it for a skid plate material nor did I know it was actually in use. It makes good sense, though, and is kind of perfect for it, especially for a lighter vehicle. We use it in the aggregate/asphalt industry. Light weight, as you said, is obviously a huge plus, but it's other properties are perfect in this application as well. It's almost a super plastic, if you will - high impact strength, highly abrasion resistant, low coefficient of friction/self lubricating, chemical resistant, and so on. It basically takes all the traits of a few other high end plastics and puts them all together with almost no drawbacks other than price.
Hey guys the Jelly poop thing is a Diet thing ,, they eat their poop because they are missing something in their diet ,, our little wiener dog did that then we changed her diet and she never did it again...the vet said it could also be she isnt quite getting a big enough portion.. but for our pup it was the diet she had didnt have everything she needed .. so if jelly is doing that try those 2 things , probably a missing nutrient my guess...
Great install video and testing (held up really well)....Jelly is too funny (priceless cleaning her mouth)....she just wanted to help on the install too......chapstick gotta watch were you put it.....lol...cant wait till the next video...you 2 are awesome....Safe travels
I have had Factory UTV skids and CV Boot protectors on my Rzr for a number of years. They by far are superior to metal skids. I am extremely pleased with them . The only downside, to any skids is that they do make it difficult to clean out all the mud and debris that gets up inside the quad.
Perfect upgrade for the RZR! Skid plates will save you MONEY.... 😎✌️💰
A friend of mine rides SXS and he was telling me about UHMW skids, he was as surprised to find that plastic skids weren’t on jeeps as I was to find RZRs have plastic skids.. who knew!?
Also, Kevin, wear safety glasses!
Ya this stuff is super badass
That’s awesome that someone is using this for skid plates! I’ve been using this material for a snowplow blade on my Polaris General for a few years. It wears better than steel even for plowing, which is the fastest way to grind steel down. I had a RZR before the General, and I miss it. Had the gold Rock and trail. 😕
I’m watching this here years later. My, how y’all have grown!
Also worth mentioning, Dragon Fire makes tons of accessories for the RZR's you might want to look into the skid armor for the suspension. But keep in mind, as you add things and mod your RZR (bigger tires, extra armor ect.) you are adding weight...
Good choice. I have been using the 1/2" Factory UTV skid plates for 4 years now and they work great.
Kevin had an easier time installing the skid than Britt did cleaning Jelly’s mouth!! Thanks for the great vid and laughs!!
Stay awesome.
The little things that make a big difference, this thing looks so awesome
My landlord has these skids and they're awesome. Slides over everything. Fun story: He drives incredibly fast and managed to hit something so hard that he went through the plastic skid and steel plate to crack the transmission. Oops. Lol Not the skid plates fault though. Steel couldn't handle it.
I thought of you guys today. I managed to climb a lifted Liberty KJ up the shelf at Ironclad today (off Bunce School Rd, CO; every been there?) even though a larger tire, stock 4-dr wranger couldn't make it (wheel base/rear diff issues- I'm sure with enough effort...). Just as exciting, I saw my first Ultra 4 on the trail too! I tried to get him to trade with me, but "not today". hahaha
Brown Bear yes we know the spot
So... in your video where you addressed complaints about the tire pressure not being changeable, but the Jeep gladiator has that so that’s strange
Andrew Langellier yup. They allow it in the gladiator
That was a fun and informative video. Liked the choice of music.Jelly has a fan. See you guys next time!!!
Kev 👍 Great Job on the install Brittany you are sooo 😆 funny Jelly I will see you this weekend 🐶🤪
Great video! I regularly use UHMW in my profession! Thanks for the pixeldecals!!!!!! Professional grade decals!!
nice setup for the RZR!! Just browsing the website...and they already have the Yamaha Wolverine X2 skids available. Hmmm!! OBTW: Loved it at 7:08 with Brit gag moment!! I literally laughing so hard, that I spit out my gum!! LOL!! Wooohooo!!
Great video. Those are the best skids you can buy. Are you guys home? If so how long have you all been traveling?
M Perkins Haven’t made it home yet (filmed the first part of this video before we left Colorado 3 months ago)
Watching Brit dry heave gave me the LOLs.
Easy on those bolts Kev....
Like the Jetta (GLI?) with the SoWo sticker!
ackmanc It’s actually a GLX, just custom front and rear end
Another vid to keep us skiding along!!! haha we will slide to the next sweet vid!!! Love it (yes bad punns) stay safe and keep it up!!!
It was so much fun watching you guys. Thank you for filming. It was informative too.
Nice video as usual! Kevin, wear your safety goggles. We have ave an Alaskan Malamute and we brush his teeth everyday (tooth brush and dog tooth paste). He is almost 12 and does not have a single cavitie. If you do not, think about it, we love miss Jelly’s smile!
The blow off on that turbo is music to my ears.
Come on Kevin...what Brit and Jason Bacon said...Safety Glasses! I used to skip that step as well, until while using an impact to simply remove some lug nuts one day got a metal sliver in my eye. Fortunately it was small and easily removed by my doctor. Could have been hella worse though.
"sweet jumps"....... I laughed so hard! I love Napoleon Dynamite.
Another great video guy's , keep up the good work . Did you ever figure out what Jelly ate ? Until next time take care .
moab wheeling not sure. Smelled like a dead animal
Awesome Video....again. I seriously thought Britt was going to loose it with Jelly. Good times.
Very nice, You both should come camp and ride the RZR with us in Aug. up in the beautiful Colorado mountains.
Nut serts are also an option when accidental over drilling occurs... been there and done that... doo doo occures!
Poor Jelly! I understand dachshunds and bad breath. Jelly kisses are awesome though.
I wanna see the aftermath👍😬🙂
Lol you guys are killing me. Now I want one!
You could use some Walker links for more articulation, I have them on all 4 corners of my Sway Bar. They work great
The OCD in me would have made me pressure wash all that mud off before i installed the skid, but I understand why you didn't waste time doing it. Our dog Jelly rubbed her head and neck in some animal fat remains some hunter had thrown out behind our house which was all in her hair and packed in her collar. After scrubbing her with dog shampoo you could still smell it 3 days later!
Scott Falkner grossss
Love the turbo on the side by side it beautiful....poor jelly beans had to get her mouth wash out ha ha great job on the side by side
Fun Bags? My idea of fun bags are different than yours. Chap-stick is not used in the same sentence for me. Great job on the install. I over drill and over tighten all the time but always get creative on how to adjust.
A) Bead lock time for the fun buggy!
B) are y’all going to upgrade shafts and armor the arms?
Uncle Elroy eventually
Kevin Williams nice 👍
Oh I can smell Jelly's breath in Rochester, NY. :-O
ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO 👍
GREAT JOB!! MORE FUN NOW!!!
great vid guys boo-ya.!!! lol keep them coming
Safety Glasses First!!!!
It’s light weight but I’m not so sure about strong. Plastic scratches and breaks pretty easy. I’m still learning about skid plate On UTVs though. I’m used to still on my trucks.
You guys are home!!!!!
Mike Scollin nahhhh. This was filmed 3 months ago. Lol
Damn RUclips just like real TV!!!!
Mike Scollin just this video. All the others are in order
Keep up the good work, you guys are great and definitely make a boring work day better!
Liking that MK4 Jetta in the background! Is it a GLI or does it just have GLI tail lights on it? Looks sick!👌🏽
Chris Munsey It’s a GLX! Just a lot of custom work done to it! 😁🤙
Sweet!! I love the Euro's!!
Chris Munsey might add my baby girl did most of it herself. Alot of blood sweat and tears went into it. But it all pd off . Have a selves full of trophies.. ask her to show you the motor. Actually the whole car close up. Can you tell I'm a proud mom❤💙💜 they have sooo much hidden talent.. 😀😀
Are you guys happy that you guys are home now because been out on the road for a while keep up the good work you guys are doing great
Danger doom we filmed this 3 months ago. Lol
@@boughtnotbuiltoffroad7784 oh wow ok will be safe safe journey .
California Disneyland
@@boughtnotbuiltoffroad7784 I figured it was probably filmed a while ago. You two are never home anymore, lol.
I reckon a warn winch and bumper is in your near future. I was out for jaunt on my motorcycle last night and a RX7 (I think) had the same exact wrap or damn near close, as your Z.
It's all fun and games until someone gets a metal shard in the eye from the drill! :-o
@ 7:00… my favorite part of this video…!!
That look great to me, it seems very sturdy and also seem to be easy to install even by a single person; i'm sure it'll protect the down side really well. And btw, that, was where Craig Ferguson was wrong; the cats are (much) better than the dogs. I never had to clean up the teeth of my cats, they don't eat "certain things" which proofs they're smarter; i like Jelly a lot, but... >>;-) . Have a great week!
The factory "cone" tip bolts will actually self tap as well. Just curious, how much weight does the package add?
Frank The CADD Monkey Not sure, but I imagine not that much. Stuff is crazy light weight
Frank The CADD Monkey not much at all. It’s very very light
You should have a track day with the o’l drift car!!!
I think you guys need at least one locker for that razr!!!!
Paul Kaiser it’s locked front and rear
Wow I’m surprised how much wheel spin you still have....
excellent presentation.
Poor jelly!! Are you going to put a winch on the razor just in case?
Within the Glass yes
Great video thank you!
Question. Would you want to use Locktite when bolting on the Skid plates? Maybe keep from having to check if the bolts stay tight?
Kiltman a little blue wouldn’t hurt
never stick your CHAP stick in the fun bags hahahaha. lolol (totally went in the gutter there sorry)
Great upgrade, jelly needs tick tacs
Question for you guys... what happened to Mike? Did I miss something?? Gooooooooo Jelly!
William Perazzo He got engaged!
hey im getting a 2021 rzr xp pro ultimate. After watching this video and a couple others, i definitely want to buy one of these skid plate kits for mine. Sorry if these questions have been asked before but;
1. How has your skid plate held up so far?
2. from watching the video it looked like you only had to use about 8 self tapping screws? How many did u need to use if u can recall?
What is the warranty on that product?
where are your Safety Glasses
Get some sleep Brit. Love yall.
I love you guys ❤️❤️
Did the side skirts (sliders) come with the skid plate or was that additional?
This is a good idea
Gotta love kisses from a dog after they’ve eaten something dead! Or their own 💩!!!
What mud flaps are those and do you like them ?
You need some Milwaukee tools it would be plenty strong enough
Drilling underneath the chassis with your face/eyes close to the drill point location isn't too smart... I strongly suggest buy some good safety eye wear or a clear faceshield and keep your vision safe... I'm a former autobodyman
Wonderful! I licked something bad and ended up in the hospital once!
Hello person reading comments 😁
Jeff Robbins lol hello
@@boughtnotbuiltoffroad7784 have you looked at Jelly's gums too make sure she doesn't have a splinter or anything that would cause an infection, I only ask because my little one had that happen which lead to very bad breath..
WOULD LIKE TO SEE WHAT THE SKIDS LOOK LIKE AFTER GOING THROUGH THE ROCKS AT THE END OF THE VIDEO ?
David Stillman we will show them when we get back
Guys, how long do you think this will last on trail? Plastic bends transferring force. Seriously? Where do yoo think i twill transfer the impact.? Love y'all!
Keith Russell these are super badass and used a lot in racing and they hold up fine. It’s not just plastic. Read up on UHMW
@@boughtnotbuiltoffroad7784 Yeah, I don't know as much as I think with technology moving so fast. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll check it out. \m/
🏆🏆🏆👍🙏
Thank you for sharing.
So painful to watch.. especially the drilling part.
Jelly got stank mouth! 🤢😆
Great install video!
Good job not metal. Those guys with metal plates ... it’s like taking the Union Pacific big boy rock crawlin
Heh. Fun bags. (please excuse 13 year old me)
So if your bit is too small just wiggle it around?😉
corey nash exactly lol
Lets see the mk4 Jetta
Ben Hartley That’s my baby! Haha Lots of photos on our Instagram, but should probably do a video walk around at some point
Don't you just love a good! Upgrade! Axial stx10 II... Autograph !! It.. Just send it! To NC MOUNTAINS.. ..
little dogs and eating poop...yeesh. My Gracy does that with cat poop...yuck! If you want to see Grace, she's all over my FB page. Could be Jelly's cousin (not really, she's a year older)
should have safety squints on..
dude, you need safety glasses...........
You said funbags....
Are these biodegradable ? Seems like you bring a lot of little plastic bits into the environment otherwise
