  • In this video we discuss the Ridgid tool box storage option for your SXS or UTV. This toolbox setup is what we have ran for the last few years in our Polaris RZRs. Another great option is the Milwaukee Packout boxes and the Rock Ready UTV mount. We will discuss them in another video.
    We give guidance on how to setup your tool box to ensure you have the proper tools to trouble shoot and repair breakage while on the trail.

    Queen city fab makes great mounts for the Ridgid tool box and RZR.

    The Rigid boxes haver worked perfectly for me. They fit well in the toyhauler and RZR

      Thanks. Those toggle latches have been the best method for mounting them so far as well as the 2" rubber bumpers on the bottom. They go in and out very fast and they are secure. We have used the cooler straps and a cleat which work well, but can be hard to get to the straps to loosen. We made mounts several years ago that go from the lock n ride holes over to the boxes but they wouldn't stay secure in really rough riding. The movement would work the lock n ride's loose.

      @@SXSGarage Good to know, I was going to go with the lock n ride mounting plates but now that you say it wont stay doing rough riding, I think I will go with the latch system.

      @@thebigoutside9623 I'm not saying they wouldn't work for you. Just that during our testing they would come loose. Some people use them with no issues.

    I am looking forward to the next video of the Milwaukee pack out boxes. I already have those and am interested in how you handle mounting them.

      I use the mount I designed and sell on rockreadyutv.com. It's for the Polaris RZR 1k, Turbo, and Turbo S.

      Will you all be doing the Mil packout review, as the Rock Ready Mount seems like a good alternative to the Ridgid setup?

    Could you possibly put up a video of these toggle latches in operation? I bought all of the stuff to do the same as you've showed and I don't see how you have enough room to operate the latches.

    Please create a video showing exactly how the rigid tool box latches into your razor; I'm not familiar with the devices you are using or what they would hook onto that is attached to your Rzr, thank you

    Liars, Even if you remove the mount from the box it will not sit down on the bed. I say they never have tried this. I have and had to grind through box to make it fit. will weld it back up but will look like shit; could not install spacers because spare tire was in the way. great if you dont carry spare. why carry shit load of tools but no spare

    • @SXSGarage
      @SXSGarage  Год назад

      Liars? Which mount and box are you referring to? I ran the ridgid box with toggle clamps on my rzr for years. You trim the edges as we show in the video and run the rubber bumpers. Sits down in the bed. I make an aluminum packout mount that fits down in the bed and mounts the packout boxes with issues. You don't seem to know what you are talking about. A spare requires minimal tools to change. One has nothing to do with the other. If you don't run a spare, you just carry a plug and patch kit.

      @@SXSGarage I have a spare tire mount over the box and cant open the box with the extra height of the bumpers. At 7:40 you say you need to notch out the cleat if you dont use the bumpers. I think you assumed that and never actually tried it. I have the exact same box and a 2019 turbo S and the box will not sit flush on the bed with the cleats notched out. I had to bevel the edges with my die grinder until I ground holes in the box. Then had to heat and push the edges in so it would sit flush, then weld up the holes.

      @@philjohnson564myself, Tony (the person talking) and multiple other people we know ran that box with the ends trimmed, in the forward position above the air box. All the way down in the bed. You trim that end piece and a small amount of vertical reinforcement at an angle, without cutting into the box. Regardless, you come on here calling us liars so I'm not going to bother trying to help you more than that.

      Sorry about the Liars comment🥴. I appreciate what you guys do and especially appreciate your winch bumper. Yeah I wasn't too happy when I cut the lug to stack the case and it still didn't fit flat on the floor. Ridgid part number 22 1733 and the 2019 Turbo S . Can't return it after that so had to grind the edges until it fit. Just a little ugly when it's out and you can see where I welded the plastic back together. I don't think it's possible to Mount them flat without trimming the edges because there is so many mounts available and they all require the 2-in spacer.
