If I had been able to hire her as a grandma for a day - I would have asked her about her skincare routine because her skin is STUNNING. This is a service that can help so many people, whether because they miss their own grandparents or because they never knew their own. Or, they just need some great advice or care from someone older and more experienced. And, with a aging population this affords elders with extra income and interaction that they may not get otherwise. Lovely video!

someone mentioned it in another comment, but this is a great idea for the elderly in japan. mainly because of the high percentages of lonely deaths in elders, this is a great way to keep them active and socialized. i hope this becomes more popular and a lot more people and other cultures can get involved with this idea.

This is such a nice service. Sadly, not everyone would have access to such a nice and loving grandmother. In my case, my grandmother died when I was very young so I don't really remember my interactions with her. I only remember her from photos.
If I were in Japan right now, I would probably rent her service just to experience having a Japanese grandmother - someone who lived a different culture and era from me.
On a macro perspective, this would be a great way for young people of Japan to personally know of grandma figure, who they normally may not have access to due to their circumstances.

I think this is sweet. She wants to share and have the company and Paolo gets that too. Reminds me of one Christmas like 40 years ago when we adopted a Grandpa for the evening. He was a resident at a retirement home without local family. He got a proper family Christmas dinner etc. I was a teen and my grandma lived with us and I remember dreaming they’d hit it off. Not to be, but it was a nice gift my parents gave to the random lonely old man. 😊

I really love this concept. I am a Grandma myself. Love giving my time to my family, but I could see myself doing this. For people who don't have this family person in their life, I bet it would be a wonderful treat. You grandma for the day was beautiful. I enjoyed watching her cook for you and the picnic and walk. I think this was one of the nicest RUclips videos I have seen in a long time.

I would rent a grandma just to know how would it feel, my own grandmas didn't love me because they were enemies and disliked each other's grandsons. I would definitely give it a shot!

AWHHH. This is so wholesome. This is why they live so long cause they live communal and always have interactions with their people

Sounds like there's a lot of safety risk for the grandma to visit a strange man house.

Great video, and I love that you managed to find a fun and unique subject to share with your audience. This one touched my heart a bit as it reminded me of the few but very warm memories I have of my Grandmother. Thank you so much for this video!

This is precious. I really want to try this on my next trip to Japan. Unfortunately with a large generation gap in my family I had already lost all my grandparents before I graduated college. I miss them and wish I could have gotten to know them better. It's great to still maintain a connection to all the generations in our society as we age.

Really breaking boundary with this one. Loved it, showcase how a grandma can still embrace very innovative concept of a job role!

This was awesome! I learned so much from her. Grandparents are so cool and full of wisdom. Bonus points if they love to talk a lot. Lol

I lost my grandmother in 2011. I teared up. She taught me how to cook and had lots of wisdom to share with me. I am so grateful I had her.

In Taiwanese its Obasan so super closer and can see the transliteration. I miss my grandmother everyday and would love a service like this on any day. I would do anything to have my grandmother here.
I first rolled my eyes when I saw the subject but the first 5 minutes was so heartwarming. I stand corrected and really enjoyed all of it! Thanks so much Paolo!

I no longer live near my grandma, but not a day passes where I don't think about all the times we shared doing small things together. Her teaching me how to bake and having picnics or going on walks just don't happen anymore, since she is no longer in good health. Thank you for sharing this video and letting me reminisce about how it used to be when I got to see my grandma.

I can see this being therapeutic for older widowers who miss their wives and just want to relive having a woman in the home cooking and having lunch or dinner and conversation with them.
