Thank you once again for a peaceful vlog, 4am do I watch it now? No go back to sleep, too awake, toast and coffee sorted lol. I love the way you find wildlife and capture it's natural day to day 'doings.' Have a great week, thank you again.
Oh my, 4am in the morning!🥱 I hope the coffee and toast helped? It is lovely to know that you enjoyed the vlog, Lorraine and I am chuffed that you started the day with me. 🤗 Have a wonderful weekend, take care.🌻🦋
Hi Sheila, thank you so much for your lovely comment. This week, I looked up why the bees seemed to be hooked on the Himalayan Balsam as I thought their behaviour was different on this plant compared to others that I see them visit and so that is why I discovered the fact about it being like 'fast food' to them and they can't get enough of it. It's amazing what you notice when you spend time in nature isn't it?🐝 Have a wonderful weekend. Take care🌻🦋
Everyday a delight Vanessa, maybe not all day but at least part or parts of it. That’s happiness. Not everyone can find it but those that do are blessed and their outlook pleases all they encounter. I have found that to be true in a harsh world. Golden moments to treasure and this video is very treasurable. Thank you.
My wife and I enjoy the beautiful scenery and your wildlife photography and your artwork. You’re a very talented lady with such a positive attitude. We spent summers on our boat in Lake Superior - miss those days so we watch with great pleasure your adventures. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Vanessa, for taking us along on this beautiful cruise and cheering me up on my birthday. As always, I love your poetry and artful diary. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Stevie, happy birthday to you!🥳🥳 I hope you have had a lovely day- did you get any nice presents? Thank you so much for watching my vlog on your special day. Have a wonderful weekend. Take care🌻🦋
I love the footage of Zephyr with the polar bear and the duck next to the bird statue. Also, 😊, the robins singing and your tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Then there was the bee, bread, flowers… the list goes on. A great little vlog. Your nature journal and diary is always a highlight. Thankyou so much Vanessa ❤️🙏🐕
It is so lovely to know that you are enjoying the vlogs. Robins have a place in my heart and so you’ll probably see them appearing in a lot of my vlogs. Take care for now🦋🌻
Hello Vanessa - greetings from Poland I've been looking forward to the continuation of the River Soar cruise. I'm not disappointed! What a fabulous video. Your beautiful photography is incredible. Fabulous shots of the canal, countryside, wildfowl, birds, and insects. The Holey Cheese Bread wasn't exactly what I expected. However if it looks good and tastes good, it must be good. Lovely to see India again. Rescuing the fishermans equipment was an experience, especially when he admitted that he'd not caught any fish but he had caught three narrowboats!. What a fascinating story about the Bell Devil. And how lovely Watermead Park was. Thanks so much for taking me along. I thougherly enjoyed myself. Stay safe please.
Hi Michael, it is always a pleasure to read your comments and this one was delightful too. I hope you are both well? Have you started to forage for mushrooms yet? India has been looking out for Turkey Tail as she makes a lovely broth out of this one. I am so pleased that you enjoyed the video. The fisherman really made me laugh and how lovely that he took everything in his stride like that. India was so intent on getting his float and hook back to him and I was so proud of her when she managed it. I thought the legend of the Bell Devil was fascinating too, and I absolutely loved Watermead Park. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Have a wonderful weekend. Take care🦋🌻
Absolutley no mushrooms in our local forest this year. Magda thinks it's because we had a very dry June and July. In Auguat the spores should germinate but becuase of no rain, nothing has grown. Deforestation hasn't helped either.
Hi Christine, it is lovely to know that you were watching with your morning tea!🫖 Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend. Take care🦋🌻
And another "oh look" moment ..well several 😂 all those beautiful places, and the legend of those place names, and the 'fishing for narrowboats' tale, crab apples I could go on.... You have certainly been busy so I hope you enjoy a weekend rest 🙏
Hi Margaret, it has been a busy week. I think, it's the onset of autumn and this need to store and prepare, I can totally relate to squirrels now. It is lovely to be able to share my week with viewers like you. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment; it really means a lot. Take care🌻🦋🐿
We have just “caught up” with your blogs. What a bittersweet feeling it is. We will look forward to our “weekly fix” now we are in the present. We can not tell you how much we love you (and Zepher). It makes me homesick for Britain. Love from FloridaXXX
Congratulations on catching up on all of the vlogs, Frank and I am relieved you are still following the channel!😮💨 I hope you are ok and safe with Hurricane Ian? Please take care x Thank you so much for your lovely comment. 👍⭐️🌻🦋
It's so wonderful that you came to visit St Michaels church and listen to are wonderful bells. I hope you enjoyed them As a narrow boat owner my self I think it's wonderful that we get to see some wonderful countryside that you can't see from the road. And with watermead being on my door step I don't have far to go to get away from it all. One minute you can be in a busy town like birstall or syston and the next complete peace and quiet. Thank you for a wonderful video.
Hi Samuel, thank you for your lovely comment. I really enjoyed the church bells- there is something really calming and magical about them. What a lovely place to be based by on your boat. Have a wonderful rest of the week, take care🦋🌻
Thank you for another lovely vlog and particularly for recounting the local legend of Mount Sorel and surrounding villages. As a storyteller who focuses on traditional tales, myths and legends, I love to hear the special little snippets. Keep up the beautiful art work, writing and striving for that perfect GF/Vegan loaf of bread.
How lovely to have a storyteller watching the vlogs! There are so many wonderful stories along the waterways which just fascinate me, particularly the quirky ones. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Take care🌻🦋
I just finished watching the news and I felt so depressed. Then I watched you lovely vlog and I felt so much better you really are doing a public service. You managed to capture so much beauty in nature and the bread sounded good as well thanks again Steve
Steve, I hope you are ok? As soon as I watch, listen or read the news, I feel exactly the same as you. I know that it is good to stay in touch with what is happening, but I have to really ration it. I now just have the headlines on my phone. What I have found though, on my travels and finding out about the new places that I visit, is so many, good news and reassuring stories of people coming together to make a better place to live. There is good news out there; it's just not shared as much in the media. I am so pleased that my vlog had a positive effect on you. Thank you so much for this lovely comment, look after yourself, Steve. Take care🌻🦋
Hi Paul, yes there are some gorgeous homes along the river and all so unique. The boathouse one was special wasn't it? Thank you for watching and for commenting. Happy cruising! Take care🌻🦋
Vanessa your such a lovely lady. Great watching you and the very interesting views amd comments. Looks like you really enjoy what your doing. So restful. Keep it up. Take care.x
Thanks Vanessa for sharing those lovely moments with us, it is so relaxing.I could do with a nice hot drink like that as I am feeling a bit chilly today.
Hi Christine, thank you so much for your lovely comment. It is definitely a drink to warm you up, give it a try: ginger, turmeric, cayenne pepper (pinch) black pepper ( sprinkle) a little syrup of your choice, I used the rosehip but you can you use maple or any other for some sweet and then hot water and lemon. It is zingy and peppery and very warming. Have a wonderful weekend. Take care🦋🌻
Lots of images and things to enjoy... I was really struck by how calm and glassy the water was in the early part of the vlog - mirroring the sky! (plus a new face to add to the collection at 9:17 😉)
Hi Brewster, the river is really glassy here in places, so I am chuffed that it came out on the camera like that. I'm glad that a new face made it into the collection too!🤪 Thank you for your lovely comment. Have a wonderful weekend. Take care🦋🌻
@@themindfulnarrowboat You definitely have great talent for telling stories (in the visual arts, in written word, and in spoken word!) If "chuffed" means "surprised" (forgive this ill-bred colonist) then you shouldn't be. If "chuffed" means "glad" or "proud," then by all means chuff it up (if that's a thing). Also, while the face collection was a fun thing, I've probably worn that out... I'll just silently appreciate the expressions from here on out.😆
Thank you so much for your lovely comment, Peter.😊 I think that I bury myself away in wildlife and nature to try to forget about some of the things happening at the moment and when I do, I meet some incredible people and see so many wonderful things which restores my faith in the country and world again. Have a super week, take care🦋🌻
Hiya. Thanks for your vids. I love your watercolours of birds in your journal. On bread: I've been making bread in one of those electric bread ovens for several years and have found 2 things work for me: 1. On yeast: I use body temp water and my order for adding ingredients is: water. yeast. flour. I then actually help the machine mix in the flour bc I was finding unmixed flour clumps in the dough/bread. 2. On baking: I no longer let the machine bake my bread. I use the oven. I set my machine to the "dough" setting, then use an (olive) oiled bread tin for baking. I put the dough in the oven on 100C for 1/2 an hour once I've transferred it to the bread tin, then turn the oven up to 180-200C to finish the baking... 20 mins then turn for another 10-ish minutes. If I follow this process I get a good loaf about 100% of the time. It's when I miss something that I have issues. I've come to your channel late. I'm wondering if your partner is just camera shy, or if they're a spy/dentist/master criminal and can't show their face??? Cheers from Australia.
Welcome to the channel, Andrew and thank you so much for your bread-making tips. I shall try it out, but I think another issue for me is my bread is made with GF flour? I travel with my husband and he just doesn't want to be in the vlogs, although he is really pleased that I am making them as it is a record of our journey. We have two grown-up children who often come and stay on the boat too. Thank you for watching and commenting. Have a wonderful week, take care🦋🌻
I loved this episode... what a beautiful waterway.. and the other boats & other floating things! Bread looked fine... funnily enough, every time I cook I always cross my fingers! Query - have you thought anymore of publishing your journal, maybe as a calendar? It's wonderful to see your channel grow!
Thank you so much, Jeff for your super lovely comment. 🤗😊 I think 'crossing the fingers' should definitely be added to the recipe Method, don't you? 🤞🤣 It's spooky that you ask me about a calendar as I am starting to put together, my favourite nature spots and places that I have visited over the years from my journals to make a calendar. As for this journal, I have decided to make copies of this year's and publish it; only because, like you, others have mentioned this. I never thought that my sketches and poetry would ever be something that someone might want to buy until viewers suggested it. I am blown away by it all. Have a wonderful weekend. Take care🦋🌻
Very interesting. The canals are really long. I really like your attention to details of natural life. Very well done with an eye for intrinsic beauty and form. Imagine,a dress maker forgetting to put shoulders on. What's the world coming to. ha ha
Hi Stewart, thank you so much for your lovely and funny comment about the shoulders and the dressmaker!🤣🤭 I am so pleased that you enjoyed the vlog. Have a wonderful Friday and weekend ahead, take care🌻🦋
Hello Vanessa what a lovely video again. Scenery stunning. What’s surprised to see you put all ingredients together and not mix!!! It looked good enough to eat when you turned it out well done. Loved the houses canal side some people have all the luck🎉. Have great week 👍
Hi Sandy, the mixer does all of the hard work for you; it's brilliant, so I am hoping one day, I'll have a gf/vegan bread that doesn't look like a doughnut! Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend. Take care🦋🌻🍞
Vann, I've had a bread machine for over 20 years and from my experience I believe that the moisture in your onions may have doomed your loaf. You may want to consider investing in a dehydrator. You live the sort of lifestyle that could really take advantage of that food dehydrator with herbs and fruit. You find so many apples, you could make apple chips for the winter. There are so many options. A simple small round dehydrator is only about £40.
Oohhh, a dehydrator sounds exciting? Does it use a lot of electricity? I shall investigate getting one. Good advice about the onions too. If you crack a vegan, gluten free loaf in your bread machine, please pass on the secret to me and make sure your patent your recipe as you'll be a millionaire! Hope you are both well. Have a wonderful weekend. Take care🦋🌻🍞
Oh Vanessa - beautiful, beautiful vlog I kept shouting out "oh look" "ooh look" 😊 This is a vlog worth several viewings! My Friday afternoon treat definitely And a beautiful robin for the Queen too. I'm with you on the bread as I'm coeliac so always cook gluten free and my family are a mix of vegetarian, vegan, halal & gf so it's all definitely a work in progress and gf bread is a project in itself anyway 😊 but obviously worked a treat! Just love the pond skaters and butterflies, dragonflies, pochards etc you show - stunningly beautiful Thank you so much Bless you
@@jeffebdy Yes I have used Spelt in the past and it has a great taste and makes a really great bread too. It still contains some gluten I think but is an ancient grain and can be tolerated more easily by many. Baking anything gluten free is still a 'work in progress' for me though 😊 but I keep on trying 😊
What a beautiful comment, Margaret, thank you so much.🤗😊 Isn't the GF bread and food expensive? I think whoever cracks a homemade, vegan loaf is a potential millionaire; my bread tasted good, but it didn't look good, did it?🫣🤭 I will plough on with that one and if you have success, please pass on your tips to me🙏 I am so pleased that you enjoyed the vlog. Have a wonderful weekend, take care.🦋🌻🍞
That is such a lovely comment and so kind of you to take the time to make it. Thank you so much, Jayne. 🤗 I have passed on your “well done” to India too. Take care🌻🦋
As usual a totally brilliant vlog.which was so very intriguing throughout.your videos are the best entertainment that anyone could possibly ask for.just awesomeness viewing every time.so packed with amazing subjects.I love listening to your fantastic historical facts.which is so phenomenally interesting.hope the both of you have a wonderful week cruising the cut.love the bread making 🥪
Hi Anthony, thank you so much for your lovely comment. 😊 I am still looking out for a thatch roof and roses to film. I am glad you enjoyed the bread making although you must be relieved that you didn't have to taste it!🍞🤣 Have a wonderful rest of the weekend. Take care🦋🌻
Your nature footage is phenomenal, especially the skaters! Looking forward to making your holey cheese bread - have written down the ingredients. Thanks!☺
It is utterly lovely to know that Liana and Sydni have been binge watching the videos, please pass on a "hi" 👋 from me. I think buying them a narrowboat instead of a flat is a wonderful idea, although the flat is probably a much better financial investment, but life is for living and I bet they would have more fun cruising around the waterways. Good luck with that one!🤞🍀 Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Have a wonderful weekend. Take care🌻🦋
@@themindfulnarrowboat I will pass on your "Hi" to L& S.. 🙂I hope you & Mr Mindfull have a blessed weekend. & thank you again for the great insight to narrow boat life 🙂
Love the reflections of the clouds. Your plants look very healthy. How much solar energy do you get in a day? You are so innovative. Love the way you forage. Such a great thing to do. Unusual duck with red bill. You see everything up close if is wonderful. What a yummy looking tea. We are quite alike. Where do you get your rosehip syrup please? Thanks so much. You are so inspirational.
Hi Vanessa, you ask a good question about the solar; on a poorly lit day we would normally draw in 720 KW (KWH) hours and so we might run the engine in the evening for an hour; on a good day, we might draw in 1560 KWH and that would run all of our appliances easily. India made the rosehip syrup; we picked about 300g of red rosehips, boiled them until soft and then mashed and strained them through muslin and then heated them again with sugar until the sugar dissolved. Thank you for your super questions. Take care🌻🦋
A very interesting walk along the river. You need to learn a lot and acquire the skills of a real river boat captain. Much respect to you! I learned the story of Shannon Lane and accidentally saw your video. I am very pleased! I wish you good weather and pleasant meetings! Best regards❤
Hi again Vanessa I messaged you earlier today but forgot to say how much I love your commentary n your fab drawings your very talented thankyou for your energy please continue . Josh
I have been in that fishermen situation manny times . Once i got my fising line tangled with a diver . We had rain finally that shoot of the robin says it all thanks for such a relaxing video and please take care
Hooray for the rain! I bet you were so relieved to see it falling from the sky. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Have a wonderful weekend. Take care🦋🌻
What great close up shots of the butterfly dragonfly and bee showing them in detail How nice to hear the church bells ringing on the day of the funeral here where l live not one bell rang, theres nothing like a nice bit of bell ringing echoing round the village. What a concoction of a drink! I bet it was a bit spicy with the lemon to mellow it down, is this a health drink or one u have made up ur self? Nice to see crew mate India back on board 🙂. Thanks Vanessa for a enjoyable Friday night viewing as usual 👍🦋🥀🪴🫕🥃🍞.
Hi Simon, the church bells ringing out across Thurmaston and the empty streets really made the day significant. The drink is definitely, as you say, a concoction and India started me drinking it as a 'super tea'. It is actually really warming and nice, although not one for dunking a biscuit into! I am so pleased that you enjoyed the vlog. Have a wonderful weekend. Take care🦋🌻
Bird Flu has been devastating this year and I really hope that the rest of our wonderful birds stay safe from harm. Have a super rest of the week. Thank you for watching, take care🌻🦋
What a beautiful place to live, Vanessa. That bridge is stunning and the Quay-side houses are beautiful too. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Take care🦋🌻
Your best vlog yet.Absolutely brilliant,so much variety.I wonder whether the pondskaters were the inspiration for drones they look very much like them. You have given some inspiration for part of next year's cruise - the Leicester line and the River Solar.Have a good week.
Thank you so much, Chris for such a lovely comment.😊🤗 I totally recommend the Leicester Line and River Soar; it is so green here and there is so much to explore too. You are right about the pond skaters, looking like drones- I hadn't thought of that before, but they so do! Have a wonderful rest of the weekend. Take care🌻🦋
Your videos have such vivid color...I had a breadmaker once, I've passed it on to Granddaughter. It would have hole in the bread like that if I didn't pause it after the last kneading and remove the paddle, which I never did.
Hi Sammie, thank you for your lovely comment and super tip. I shall try removing the paddle after the last kneading next time. Have a wonderful weekend. Take care🦋🌻
Vanessa what a great story about the villages, as I live locally I have never heard that before, I'll be having a chat with friends to see if they know the story.
If you find out anything more about this legend, please let me know Michael as I found the story intriguing.👍 Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋
Great video ❤ a bit of advice with your bread making. Either add your cheese and onion near the end of the needing process so that it doesn’t cause a problem with the dough or small dice the cheese rather than grate it. Try the first tip next time then the second tip the time after that to see which is best for your machine and let me know how you got on with it❤
Hi Matthew, this sounds like excellent advice, unfortunately Mr M decided, after patiently eating one paving slab after the other as I continued with my attempts at bread making, that it was time to sell the bread machine. It was either this or forfeit any hope of us keeping our own teeth!🤭🦷🍞🧱 Thank you so much for your tip though! Have a super rest of the weekend, take care🦋🌻
Beautiful mooring stunning views your bread looked like mine but not being a vegan i made some chilli lemon and tarragon bread today in a flower pot had with some lovely crab claws from berwick wonderful with a glass of chablis ps the dress looks lovely mr is a very guy xx
Hi Vanessa, surprisingly the holey loaf was tasty! I don't how that happened though?🤣 Thank you for watching. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend. Take care🌻🦋
There is a very good community on the canals, of course there is the odd occasion here and there, but overall, boaters are really kind and help each other out. Take care🌻🦋
Your journals are truly amazing. I especially like your drawings with the quotation of your thoughts. I find it awfully rare to see this. Question, are you a poet?
I am so pleased that you like my journals- that is so kind of you. I would never consider myself a poet, but I just really enjoy writing poetry. Thank you for your lovely comment- take care🌻🦋
Somewhere on YT is a video by a fellow in Alabama where they looked at scales from butterfly wings under an electron microscope and the little bitty scales had three-dimensional structures which trapped different frequencies of reflected light and only allowed out the color that we see. And speaking of colors, I think it was said that butterflies see and process far more of the ultraviolet light spectrum than we do. And then there is a saying about butterflies can't see their own wings, well, they can't see their own wings from above or below like we do, but their field of vision is nearly completely spherical and they can indeed see their own wings edge-on. And dragonflies have interesting vision with their several eyes & it is amazing how their little brains process all that data. Dragonflies also have some significant differences in their wing muscles from other flying insects and that is how they have the flying agility they do. And on dragonfly wings on the leading edge out toward the wingtip is a structure which is actually some kind of counterweight/balance weight to make their wings work more smoothly. I'm not an entomologist or even a biologist but things like those about those insects really grab my curiosity.
This is amazing information, Scott! I totally understand what you mean about the fascinating world of insects; I am exactly the same when it comes to reading about their incredible adaptations and life cycles. Thank you so much for sharing this information!👍 Have a wonderful rest of the week, take care🌻🦋
Hi Lydia, thank you so much for your lovely comment. I made a 'super tea' which my daughter, Indi has got me drinking and actually, I really like it as it is so warming and spicy: ginger, turmeric, cayenne pepper (tiny pinch) black pepper, rosehip syrup, but you can sweeten with maple or any syrup , hot water and lemon. Have a wonderful weekend, take care🌻🦋🍵
Hilarious how that fisherman "caught" your narrowboat plus a few other boats too! What sort of lure did he use to attract narrowboats? Hmmm.... I love the water skaters, herons, and other birds, as well as the beautiful houses along the canal with flowers in their gardens. For some reason I thought your dog's name was Freya and then I learn it's Zephyr. Jenny
Hi Jenny, the fisherman really made me laugh too! Thank you for your lovely comment. Zephyr sounds like Freya so I get how you might have misheard me. Have a super rest of the week, take care🌻🦋
Very nice. But you’re firewood store. You should have air getting in because otherwise the wood will never dry and just rot. Or it could condensate in hot weather and be wet. And rot. My advice is to get as much air Maybe in dry days. Take the cover off. And let it air.
Hi Gary, you are very right about the wood store. In dry days, we are pulling back the cover like you said and it is working well, although we haven’t had so many dry days recently!😁💧Thank you so much for your great comment 👍 Have a wonderful weekend, take care🦋🌻
I am wondering if you have done any art of the THE FAE , Fairies , or ELVES? Your style is one that would be great doing these , along with the poetry. 😏it would be great.
I haven't done any of this art but I shall look it up now that you mentioned it Carl- thank you so much for your kind comment. Have a super week, ahead, take care🦋🌻
Thankyou Vanessa for taking us on another adventure into the worlds of birds and insects, reminding us the world is full of beauty and simple joys. I must have missed something. I am wondering if India is your daughter? Keep well, xo
Hi Wendy, thank you so much for your lovely comment. India is our 22 year old daughter and she often comes to stay on the boat, but normally hides from the camera. It is always lovely when she's with us though. occasionally, there may be a glimpse of our son too, but he is working overseas at the moment. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend. Take care🌻🦋

It is so lovely to know that you are with us, enjoying the journey too, Francis.🤗 India is our 22 year old daughter; she often comes to stay when she can. It is an absolute joy, when she is aboard. Thank you for your lovely comment. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend. Take care🌻🦋
Pond skaters??? Weird little critters are they related to mosquitoes? Looking at them closely looked like a Zentangle..very arty!🤭 That floating blue building...was it a houseboat? Thanks for another great video..wasnt that baby robyn cute? Cheers from the west. I was watching your vlogs until about 2am now cant stay awake🤣😳😳😳😳😳btw I notice nobody is commenting on your bread 🤭🤭🤭🤭 never had much ,uck myself sorry cant help xx
Hi lovely Jenny! Thank you for watching my vlogs until 2am; that is so sweet of you. My bread is causing problems, I think due to the fact I can’t use gluten or eggs. A lot of the gf options need an egg and the vegan egg just doesn’t work in the bread machine. Never mind,it is fun trying!😁 Have a restful sleep and wonderful rest of the week, take care🦋🌻

What a wonderful hobby that must have been. Thank you so much for watching. Take care🌻🦋

Hello Vanessa - greetings from Poland
I've been looking forward to the continuation of the River Soar cruise.
Oh my goodness! That’s so worrying. Mushrooms will find a way though. Let’s hope they start appearing soon.🤞🤞🤞🤞
OMG, you are so speaking my language right now with this share. Thank you for this; very encouraging to get back to the simplest joys in life
I’m so pleased that you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Take care🌻🦋
I love your poems and artwork ❤
Thank you so much 😊 Take care 🦋🌻
Perfect back drop to my morning cup of tea. Thank you Vanessa and crew. Take care.
Take care🌻🦋
Thank you for another great video. Slowly making my way thru all of your videos. ❤

Some lovely properties along the canal there, the one with its own boathouse was my favourite. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Paul, yes there are some gorgeous homes along the river and all so unique. The boathouse one was special wasn't it? Thank you for watching and for commenting. Happy cruising! Take care🌻🦋
Wonderful vlog. The insect photography and your sketching as wonderful.

Vanessa your such a lovely lady. Great watching you and the very interesting views amd comments. Looks like you really enjoy what your doing. So restful. Keep it up. Take care.x
That is such a kind comment. Thank you so much. Take care🦋🌻
I'll just silently appreciate the expressions from here on out.😆
I love the way you cleverly show us just the beauty of England it almost tricks me to think this place is still good lol, your art work is beautiful
Thank you so much for your lovely comment, Peter.😊 I think that I bury myself away in wildlife and nature to try to forget about some of the things happening at the moment and when I do, I meet some incredible people and see so many wonderful things which restores my faith in the country and world again. Hiya. Thanks for your vids. I love your watercolours of birds in your journal.
On bread: I've been making bread in one of those electric bread ovens for several years and have found 2 things work for me:
Take care🦋🌻

Use dried onions ...
Just love the pond skaters and butterflies, dragonflies, pochards etc you show - stunningly beautiful Thank you so much Bless you
Have you ever used Spelt flour? My friend was coeliac & she used it to bake with. I use it myself to make "biscuits" (the American version ie scones)
I will try spelt flour next time too. 👍🌻🦋

Take care🌻🦋

What great close up shots of the butterfly dragonfly and bee showing them in detail How nice to hear the church bells ringing on the day of the funeral here where l live not one bell rang, theres nothing like a nice bit of bell ringing echoing round the village. Hi Simon, the church bells ringing out across Thurmaston and the empty streets really made the day significant.
Very nice. But you’re firewood store. You should have air getting in because otherwise the wood will never dry and just rot. Or it could condensate in hot weather and be wet. And rot. My advice is to get as much air Maybe in dry days. Take the cover off. And let it air.

Looking at them closely looked like a Zentangle..very arty!🤭
That floating blue building...was it a houseboat?
@@themindfulnarrowboat You too Vanessa keep trying with that bread...
