it is a magnificent organ, and well played. It was where I first met my best mate, David Rogers, when he asked me if he could record the recital I helped organise
5:15 Bach/Dupré Sinfonia from Cantata 29 12:07 Mozart Adagio and Allegro in F minor K594 25:08 Bach Prelude and Fugue in Eb BWV 552 43:20 Allcoat Romance 47:50 Vierne Clair de Lune and 55:55 Toccata 1:00:30 Duruflé Suite Op.5
Nice variety of appropriate registrations for each piece. Thanks for posting this - very enjoyable! Only the Mozart I’d quibble with as it was written for a clockwork instrument so presumably a “smaller” registration would be appropriate? But still, I loved it all.
Thank you Mark! In the Mozart I'm actually just using the Swell 8' 4' 2' with the quietest of the Great 8's to get that clockwork effect but they are still very present where th iPad was recording. It can go either way though; I have enjoyed performances with Great to mixture and Full Swell.
Interesting comments about solid but plodding; perhaps play through the pieces yourself and pop them on RUclips to show what flair would have been like.
👏👏👏👏👏👏 Great!!!
Thank you!

Charisma, character, competence, communicative, compelling, come and hear me again; generally things that begin with C.
Canks!
Lovely! Well done!
Bravo Jeremiah! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Absolutely phenomenal. What a privilege to be there.
Thank you for coming along!
Beautifully done! I finally got to visit Selby in early 2020 right before the pandemic hit. Such a lovely building.
This was my first visit - and great to see a nearly full nave of audience after everything!
A virtuosic marathon recital which makes the most of the organ's resources. Incredible stamina and accuracy.
This really was an outstanding performance. Excellent programme.
Thank you!
Love this performance, especially the Durufle ^_^ Man, you got to play in front of JSW! Luckyyyy!!!!! :D
Yes - he is lovely! I grew up on his recordings.

A near-unimpeachable historically-informed, yet approachable, reading.

Wow ! - wouldn't have dared to risk most of that on the 'old' organ ...still the same acoustic , though - Selby is yooneek!

Technically secure but a safe and plodding player probably more at home with hymns at evensong but solid for all that.
What a load of pompous tosh, Sir Reginald.

Congrats on the Knighthood, sounds like you’re ready for the Order of the Bath next.
We don't even sing hymns at Evensong at my church but OK.
Nice sarcasm lol
acoustics are bad crap organ
Thanks, Mark. You're clearly an expert so I looked for videos of you playing but sadly I couldn't find any.
@@jeremiahorganist Boom, roasted lol
Mark, I think you need to visit our dear Abbey at Selby before you say such things about the acoustics and the organ!
