This video isn’t posted by an official office or NBC page, and as of now “only” has 333K views. It’s been years since then, and that number isn’t including fans who listen to the podcast without downloading or through other platforms like youtube. That being said, this video is hitting a relatively small demographic of people so yeah there’s still millions of people who haven’t seen compilations like this who wonder if / where there’s improv throughout the show.
It's actually good to ask for confirmation because some stuff can be false too. Reminds me of the kathy/jim scenario where jim was supposed to cheat on pam with kathy but john krasinski didn't want it to happen, turns out there was no scenario like this, jim was never supposed to cheat on pam. I don't understand how and why there was a rumor like that
@@manooo8460 because Jenna Fisher has stated multiple times on the podcast that there was an idea around that the "cheat" could happen. Also Jenna insists that she will never read the teapot note because it's personal. I'm sorry lady, you are a character on a t.v. show its not your actually life despite how much Pam is actually like J. Fisher in real life even down to her past work experience. @@Canadianvoice the teapot note was personal because they told john to write a personal note from john to jenna, not jim to pam. so it is personal to her.
My favorite episode is in season 5 where a guy comes in about the phones and Jim pretends to be Micheal for a second and they all go “👍AYYYYYYEEEEEEEE👍”
With the way the whole world is so easily offended these days, and you can't have an opinion about ANYTHING because it's some kind of "harassment or toxic" I have a feeling that kiss will be scrutinised, criticised and Steve Carrel will probably be "cancelled" 🙄 I miss the days when we could just enjoy things, and laugh at what we want to laugh at and at the end of the day there was NO ill intentions behind it!
I think a lot of Office fans don't like Will Ferrell's character in the show for the wrong reason. DeAngelo is SUPPOSED to have no chemistry with the rest of the workers and be off putting. I loved him being extra and singing with the office as they say goodbye to Michael because it shows that he wants to fit in but can't. Charles Manor and Robert California are also characters I see that I think people miss the point of their existence within the show.
11:04 the funny part about Meredith singing is that Kate Flannery is actually a really good singer, she does concerts and so on. She's singing badly on purpose here
Jim popping Dwight on the bouncy ball wasn't an improvised moment. It was always supposed to happen but the ball was supposed to slowly deflate instead of popping
I thought the whole song was improvised by the cast, not just Micheal crying, read somewhere that the cast sat down excluding Carell to write the song and Carell heard it the first time while filming the scene and he had no idea they were gonna sing that.
Is that confirmed? I don't see it mentioned in direct quotes from cast members so I've just assumed it's a rumor. If it's true then either the cast and crew failed to explain to him that he needed to stay out of it, or he was told and ignored it which he's a seasoned enough actor to know better than to do.
I’ve heard Will can sometimes be a bit rude so I don’t doubt it, don’t know much about Novak other than he’s a really good actor. If an actor can make you hate their charachter, it means they’re doing a great job xD
18:12 I thought it was a sweet moment Michael giving his sweater to Pam because she's feeling cold. I take it that Jan throwing Michael under the bus after seeing how cold the actress (Pam) got was all improvised to make it less awkward
Not Oscar, he’s within the office the one who has the most normal conversations with his colleagues. He wouldn’t ask toby about women’s private parts lol
4:36 I thought Michael would be embarrassed the way he seemed uncomfortable at first but eventually his amused reaction kind of gave it away that it was indeed him.
Yeah. I mean, she was with Roy, and I just couldn't take it. I mean, I lost it, Dwight. I couldn't sleep. I couldn't concentrate on anything. And weird stuff, like food had no taste. So my solution was to move away. It was awful. And it is something that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. And that includes you.
5:42-19:21 This just keeps getting better and better And this is also why he should be pantsed or his pants dropping by an if in the movie if for obvious reasons
watching michael and oscar’s kiss when it shows dwight getting up you can see phillis breaking character in shock that it just happened but laughing about it
The exercise ball wasn't improvised, the ball just wasn't supposed to deflate that fast. It was the last take and John accidentally hit the seam of the ball with the scissors which made it pop instead of slowly deflating.
In the first season there were a couple of random background characters with no lines. I think there were about three but they were all cut in season 2 if I remember correctly
Absolutely! “The Office” is like a masterclass in how to find humor in the mundane. I once had a team meeting that devolved into a paper airplane contest, and it felt like we were channeling our inner Michael Scott! Humor has a way of making even the most serious work situations lighter. Plus, it’s a reminder that we’re all a little quirky, just like the characters on the show. If we all had a dose of the Sense of Humor Improvement Program by Habit10x, maybe we could transform our workplace into a sitcom. In the end, laughter is the best way to build connections at work!
The very moments you can catch everyone trying not to break character
If you watch the extended episodes on peacock, you see them break a lot more!
A lot of these scènes have bloopers..
Yea, but peacock sucks :/@@austinpowell2710
Jim every time he covers his mouth lol
pretty sure the flasher scene Steve breaks character almost entirely when hes laughing they just didnt stop rolling haha
Angela’s “you shouldn’t joke about that” is so on point lol
i’m convinced that creed improvised 99% of his character and rainn improvised about 75%

Dwight going to kiss Oscar after Michael kills me 😂😂😂
Even after watching this video, you'll still have people emailing the Office Ladies Podcast asking if the scenes are all improvised.

Michael Scott is a walking lawsuit lol lawyer's dream.
No more then Dr. House.

How would Dr. House do?

1:10 John shocked and jumping away when the ball bursts🤣
Wait so Dwight’s entire beet farm back story was just entirely made up by Rainn in the moment
That would be so crazy if it was, it seems so essential to his character from the get-go.
Yeah, he improved the Beet farm and they ran with it.
@spydergs07 I guess that's proof the best characters write themselves.
there was no Dwight, Rainn improvised EVERTHING... he even does not exist, He just improvise

Jim popping Dwight on the bouncy ball wasn't an improvised moment. It was always supposed to happen but the ball was supposed to slowly deflate instead of popping
Still an improvised moment because they still went with it and John kinda broke character too before the camera cut away. 😂
The reaction was what was improvised
Correct, you even hear John Krasinski laugh if they didn’t cut the shot so quick . It’s in the bloopers I believe
11:29 really amazing how quickly Will Ferrell ruins the scene
Everyone was great but Steve carried this show on his BACK
Jim trying not to laugh at 6:28😭😭
Also Mindys reaction to them kissing is genius cause that’s so kelly

The fact the kiss was completely improv and no one broke still baffles me.
The fact that Steve Carrell had to “improv” Michael Scott being bad at improv…that’s like another level of comedic genius.

BJ Novak did not like it when Will Ferrel sang. He was supposed to be quiet, he wasn't even really part of the cast.

“You shouldn’t joke about that…”
I still think Will Ferrell’s character ruined Michael’s song. It was so good until he chimed in
I also think it would have been better if Stanley hadn't been singing, instead giving his typical contempt look and filling in a crossword puzzle
He ruined it
Will Ferrell’s character was the most poorly written character on the show.
This is appalling. How can people agree with this outrageous Will Ferrell slander!!

Is it true that the cast absolutely hated how Will Ferrell chimed in during Michael's goodbye song?
Watching the goodbye Michael makes me emotional every time
I started sitting on a ball recently to help my back and I'm cracking up. Oh god, I've become part Dwight.
2:26 again could’ve it been Oscar creed or Kevin asking this question I was pretty surprised about Dwight asking this question when I first saw this
