What the interviewer may not realize is that Freddy is the same caliber actor as Christian. He's just a bigger star. There are actors incredibly dedicated and devoted to their craft that may end up working a theater circuit in a unheard of town in Oklahoma. Maybe do a few movies here and there but absolutely love to perform. Without question Christian Bale is notorious for his dedication to method acting. But if you watch this movie, it's Freddy's reaction to him and response that shows how important it is to have a balanced cast of great talent. Sometimes the scene is only as good as the person you are in it with. I'm glad he responded the way he did. Telling the interviewer that he's just as dedicated as Christian. Acting and movie making especially is a collaborative thing. If there isn't a team effort than it will fail. Btw.....Harsh Times...great movie! Love this flick.
As with most interviewers, they don’t know the source material they are interviewing on. This ditsy fan girl believes she is doing hard hitting and important journalism, but she just hovers around the periphery asking the “how you felt, what were thinking, blah blah!” Bale and Rodriguez really gave it their all in “Harsh Times” and rendered a gritty, realistic, and believable portrayal of a slice of life in modern day Los Angeles featuring the bonds of friendship and the luck of draw. Two fantastic actors. An incredible supporting cast. And a finely tuned Director make this film a time capsule of situational events of a week in the life of two “homies” trying to find their place in life! 👍🏽
someone under one of the vids for harshtimes tried to say their be a second i dont think so Cuz nowhere on google or youtube is their anything about a second movie.
I cannot believe he shot Christian Bale at the end.I woulda taken his ass to the hospital anyway. Just go off script and give the character a chance to live. And if they go and he lives, that would make a helluva better ending.

I came across this film by chance in a bargain DVD Shop. An amazing find, not to mention a great storyline with amazing performances from the cast.
Freddy is brilliant in this movie. I know Christian gets all the praise bc he's a big star, and rightly so, but I was amazed at Freddy's performance.
