My dog is a pit/lab mix too and yes, she was very hyperactive in her young years, but she has been always a very gentle well behaved dog, especially with kids.

My dog gets plenty of exercise and he like this girl is a pit lab mix and no matter how much he exercises he's always high-energy he's always turned on I swear he met a Malinois as a puppy and decided he was going to be one! He has more of the high drive protection thing going for him then the friendly happy-go-lucky with strangers but he is so happy-go-lucky at home with us and he's good with any dog that acknowledges that he's the boss... luckily I'm a little bit more experienced than some people and I'm able to manage him and that is exactly why we ended up with him. but these dogs definitely have a very large range of temperaments within them. Oh and they are very good at jumping play you better have a good fence!
I have the same kind of dog and when she goes to doggie day camp she only gets a few 15-minute increments throughout the day because her energy level grows exponentially the more she’s allowed to play. If it weren’t for the head collar, she’d pull my arm out of the socket on every single walk.
that head bridle is a miracle-worker....I have a big, strong young lab and I would not be able to walk him at all, if not for that bridle, which makes him slow down and walk nicely.
Our dog same as that died today and I was very heartbroken because I haven't seen him when I got home from my job! I miss him so much!

I have a dog that looks exactly like this ( she’s 3/4 red nose and 1/4 black lab) with a slightly smaller spot on her chest….she’s the smartest and best dog I ever had…she has allot of energy…..I walk her like 5 times a day…..she’s naturally protective over my kids…..mutts often have great character traits

We have a black lab mix who has a gear of a lot of things at 3 months. However putting him in different environments has helped. Not sure how he is around kids.
Dogs go through a couple fear periods during the first year and so that can be normal behavior just be sure to do a lot of socializing and I don't mean necessarily with other dogs just taking her or him to lots of different new places and seeing new people will be absolutely miracle-working for that dog. And of course a few doggy friends are always great to prevent any type of issues in the future.

if a family does not have the knowledge and time to train/exercise a single dog, getting a second dog so the first dog will have something to play with is an idiot idea.

100% is more Lab than pit guarantee. Whatever "pit" it's mixed with is a mutt. They look amazing being mixed

I have the exact same dog. Identical! More American Lab than English lab. They have large heads like pits. There could be some pit mixed in there, but definitely lab.

Why can't he say lab pitbull mix ? It's obvious and very common as a mixed breed. It's stupid to try and disguise a breed type.
